  1. Ok, sounds like a big joke now. I wouldn't have put it past him, though. He was pretty out there. If Andy Kaufman's faking death, he should come to this party What happened at the party Sky-div'ing (ski'div'ing) n. 3. For what it's worth here is the 2000 OFFICIAL PRESIDENTIAL GENERAL ELECTION RESULTS Steve Sailer seems to have done a lot of research into this exact data and calls it a hoax: http://www.isteve.com/Web_Exclusives_Archive-May2004.htm#38115.6465670139 He calls THIS the original hoaxer (fixes his link). I wasn't able to find a ranking of states by IQ. I did find Morgan Quitno Press's 2002 SMARTEST STATE AWARD Correlated with who won the electoral: GORE 1 Connecticut GORE 2 Vermont BUSH 3 Montana GORE 4 New Jersey GORE 5 Maine GORE 6 Wisconsin GORE 7 Massachusetts BUSH 8 Wyoming BUSH 9 Indiana GORE 10 Rhode Island GORE 11 Iowa GORE 12 Minnesota BUSH 13 Nebraska BUSH 14 Kansas GORE 15 Pennsylvania BUSH 16 Texas BUSH 17 Utah BUSH 18 West Virginia BUSH 19 New Hampshire GORE 20 Michigan BUSH 21 North Dakota BUSH 22 Idaho GORE 23 Oregon BUSH 24 North Carolina BUSH 25 Alaska GORE 26 New York BUSH 27 Colorado BUSH 28 Kentucky GORE 29 California GORE 30 Maryland BUSH 31 Missouri BUSH 32 Oklahoma GORE 33 Illinois BUSH 34 South Dakota GORE 35 Washington BUSH 36 South Carolina BUSH 37 Virginia BUSH 38 Arkansas BUSH 39 Tennessee BUSH 40 Georgia BUSH 41 Alabama BUSH 41 Ohio GORE 43 Delaware BUSH 44 Arizona GORE 45 Hawaii BUSH 46 Nevada BUSH 47 Florida BUSH 48 Mississippi GORE 49 Louisiana GORE 50 New Mexico Of coarse it refers to two years after the election, but I couldn't find anything for 2000. --Art Sky-div'ing (ski'div'ing) n. 4. I'm not an English expert, but here's what I gather from This Site In the section for Plural Possessives: (emphasis mine) Also, One thing I'm pretty sure of is that Apostrophes are not used to make a word plural. I believe this makes "Davises" the correct choice. --Art Sky-div'ing (ski'div'ing) n. 6. I go for Chinese food today. I eat well and get my fortune cookie. I open it and it says: Ok, so I flip it over to get my fortune and there are a bunch of numbers there. What!? That's it!? That's my lousy fortune!? It's not even funny when you add "in bed" at the end. Boooo. Lame. Anyone get a fortune even lamer than that? --Art Sky-div'ing (ski'div'ing) n. 9. That was childish, but Tom doesn't strick me as being too bright. I thought it was funny though. Maybe I'm just a dim as Tom. At that final TC, I think the bitterness was still fresh. And, I didn't mind seeing Rob get a speech for his unethical play, but it shouldn't have came from Lex the hypocrit. As for the live show, I'm surprised people still held onto the bitterness. They should have let it go by then. As for Jerri, who knows? Leaving didn't help her image any. Art Sky-div'ing (ski'div'ing) n. 10. What's annoying to me is that even though Boston Rob didn't come across very well in the show, he should have been the winner. He played almost everyone on the jury and they didn't figure it out until it was too late. Then, they got mad about it. I have less respect for the jury members now because of that. I kept thinking there was another alliance somewhere that noone knew about that was going to take him and Amber out. But it never happened. They were all fools. Amber was smart to stick with him and may have been calling some shots, but Rob really did all the work. I still wouldn't mind seeing Rupert get a million though. Art Sky-div'ing (ski'div'ing) n. 11. Doh! You're probably right. I pretty much just read the subject and breezed through the text. It does say "...land adjacent to Skydiving Lost Prairie Drop Zone..." It would be interesting to have two DZs right next to each other like that. --Art Sky-div'ing (ski'div'ing) n. 19. I found out that, even though I was born in 1971, in the late 50's I built race cars. I don't remember doing that, but it must be true; it's on the internet. --Art
  20. Ok, that makes sense. Do you think a more experienced FA would have called the cops? --Art
  21. Holy cow! That seems like an incredibly stupid thing to say in this post 9/11 world. I'm actually surprised they didn't call the police. --Art
  22. Today I register to be a user at GameFaqs.com. This is a Web site dedicated to video games (not only FAQs, but reviews and message boards). I thought they had some interesting stuff in their terms of service and board rules. The site, however, is obviously going to attract mostly younger immature users so I don't think all of the rules should be applied to skydivers (we're typically at least over 18, but not necessarily more mature though ). The TOS can be found here: http://cgi.gamefaqs.com/boards/tos.asp The MEMBER CONDUCT section was good and I liked the way they spelled the rules out in more detail and even provided examples. One of the other interesting things they've implemented is "Karma" and "Board Levels". Info about that can be found here: http://www.gamefaqs.com/features/help/hboards_2.html Here, you gain/lose karma based on your conduct. Karma seems to dictate your board levels. Here, they limit how many topics (threads) you can create and how many messages you can post based on your karma. And, one thing that I thought was a really cool idea, was letting users "mark" messages for moderation (must have a certain karma level to be able to do this). Could you make the moderater's job easier by allowing users to mark messages? Would moderators not have to read every single message but only those that were marked? I don't know if it would work so easily but it seemed interesting none-the-less. All the message board help is here: http://www.gamefaqs.com/features/help/hboards.html They're also rather restrictive of account creation and activation. They will note your IP address and ISP. You need an e-mail address and if you use an address from the ISP you created the account from you get more immediate access. If not, your registration needs reviewed and approved. They don't allow accounts created from free e-mail. After registering your account you get pages that has a brief version of the rules: A long way of saying "This ain't no democracy". I don't remember if something like this already does come up after registration, but if not, it may help. After briefly browsing through some of the boards, their rules seemed to work fairly well considering their very immature audience. Even if you don't use any of it, I hope this helps in at least some small way.
