I use a stilleto with dacron lines loaded at 1.2. perfect wingsuit canopy; opens sweet whether in full flight or flare and the light loading and dacron means essentially zero line twists in 300+ ws jumps and absolutely zero spins. History tells us that a Stilleto is far from a "perfect wingsuit canopy". 300 openings in one scenario doesn't compare to what we have already learned about it. There is a US Wingsuit Nationals but just like you I can't find the official info on the USPA website. I emailed some folks there to see if I am missing it. It is at CSC for sure and they have the dates for the entire event listed on their calendar. https://www.skydivecsc.com/events The event will include an Acro and Performance comp, both picking the USPT for World Championship of Performance and World Cup of Acro that will be in Zhills in November. We are organizing a wingsuit event at CSC Jul 7-10 that will include a Performance Camp which will be a great chance to dial in the DZ profiles. I would encourage all capable wingsuiters to go! How about when they can longer pass the FAA medical? I fail to see that chronological age has much bearing. I know an 86 year old guy who is far fitter than many 35 year olds. I don't think a TM retirement age is related at all to Controllers or Pilots. Totally different levels of damage at play. Whether those retirement ages are fair or valid is a different topic. However; As a ski instructor we had a mandatory fitness test added a few years ago which was to weed out the infirm, regardless of age. It had push-ups, stretches, box jumps, etc. Some 80 year olds passed it and some 20ish folks failed it. I could see how something like that could be relevant to skydiving. There is also a cognitive element that is relevant and is something the FAA looks out for in pilots, also regardless of age. I had an FAA doc tell me once that after 65 most pilots struggle to learn a new airctraft type, so maybe that is a good age to have some recurrency tests. I think it is fine to learn in a sloppy but safe fitting Wingsuit, perfection isn't needed. However, the tool you really want to perfect and spend years in it tends to be best to buy custom. You might get lucky on the used market but how long do you want to wait? You want a Wingsuit that is part of you. I bet you would borrow a buddies shirt or pants, but would you borrow his undies?

If you want to fly with friends who have smaller suits then my vote would be you have a more appropriate suit and add the Freak to your collection for when it is appropriate. I think we are clearly reaching a time where most wingsuiters have more than just one suit in their armory. It's just how many non-wingsuiters have belly and free fly suits. It's a good point. You can wave off by wiggling your feet but that does rely on others in your group knowing what it means. In very advanced suits this is a common technique because the approach we teach in FFC doesn't work with a big inflated leg wing.
