  1. Ah-fucking-em. The anti-skankin youth of today. People that stand there video taping the show instead of participating in it are just as bad. Get up, dance, and punch someone. People that go to punk shows People that think PUNK still exsists Long live XTC and XRay Specs People that argue if punk still exists Long live Gorilla Biscuits and MDC. And Rudimentary Peni, even though i never got to see them play.
  2. I had a good experience buying a canopy recently. I would like others to know, without having to make a post, that the transaction went smooth. That the seller is good to buy from. Maybe a seller feedback on their profile of some sorts for future buyers. Let each party respond to negative and positive transactions. I know you can send stuff through riggers, but for some it might be a hassle, especially for small purchases. Just an idea.

  4. I concur. "Hey, how did you two meet?" "On the internet" Great story. I don't see how anyone can base a relationship on such an unromantic beginning. I guess im old fashion. Don't forget to put your keyboard cover on for some great safe computer sex Internet dating: http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?desktop_uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3Dwc9V8Oyjyrk&v=wc9V8Oyjyrk&gl=US
  5. Stupid white boys that dress and try to act like gangsters annoy me. Pull up your damn pants, put your hat on straight, and stop talking with that fake accent "dawg". Posers.
  6. I jump because I fear it and probably will to some extent forever. I overcome the fear when im on the ground. I embrace the fear and love the whole jump. $22 bucks to feel like a million. Get up and try again. Welcome to the forums! Edit: AFF was easy and fun, go for it.
  7. A few deep breaths on the way up and at the door helped me relax, somewhat. I was a bit stiff in my arms but flew alright through AFF. I didn't truly relax until my first solo after AFF, I didn't have to perform for anyone, no pressure. It was just me chillin'.
  8. Sounds like the beginning of a controlling relationship if she's done with because she wont take on his last name. Who wants to be forced to do something they don't want to. Maybe they can find a last name they both agree on and get it legally changed.
  9. Seems there aren't enough ridable trails for mountain bikers there. In the Bay Area we have huge park systems that allow bikers and hikers to share the trails all over the place. One respects the other while passing, works out fine. Gives me the option not to be bored riding at one place and not want to go bushwack a new trail. They should give sharing the trails a go, maybe lessen the illegal trail building. Either way, the preserves should be respected for the animals.
  10. No. You do NOT have the right to carry a gun on MY property if I say you don't. Jimbrown, you stated on your post that you have signs on your property saying no firearms allowed (the post you deleted). Then argue that why aren't you allowed to bring firearms on someone elses private property. Are you stupid? Or just a troll trying to get a rise out of people on the internet? (being you just joined DZ.com the other day) Peace, Shawn D..........you idiot, you can't even keep up with your hypocritical posts. "Gatorade, its got electolites!".....stupid.
  11. It would be a disturbing story if he did the honest thing and paid the fines before he was exposed.
  12. What will happen to them if they don't disarm?
  13. Money used to be private property way back in the day. It had no influences on its true value. Money was worth what it was always worth. Inflation make money not private property in the present day. It can devalue. We have no control of it. And if you dont have total control something its not yours or you can't truely call it yours. So no to your mindfuck question. I think
  14. Ok. Probably a stupid newbie question. I've only turned on an AAD before, never turned one off. Couldn't a swooper or anyone else who doesn't want a possible two out just reach behind them and turn off the AAD below 1k? Or can you only turn it off when it reads your on the ground? Don't burn me on the question
  15. When someone starts shooting up the joint the security measures will change. Until then....... The gun culture of america, I would imagine, stems from when settlers had to defend themselves because there was no organized laws or law enforcement to protect them.
  16. That's awesome! Listen to your instructors and have fun! You'll be jumping by yourself in no time
  17. Its the "accelerated free fall" class/program. 7 jumps with instructors to get cleared for solo jumps by yourself. Then from there you work on your "A" license (25 jumps). Then you can exit with your friends out the plane. Or was it a tandem jump? Either way, welcome! Im glad you had fun!
  18. Is there an "unlike" button? I hit "like" by accident.
  19. I emailed PD about demos (I want to demo the Saber in a few months) and their quick response was that they're not going to increase their domo prices right now. They said they will hold off as long as they can. Sounds pretty stand up to me.
  20. PD price increase goes in effect on April 4th, 2011 on all canopies. Just thought Id share for those looking to buy PD in the near future. Buy before midnight on the 3rd of April. Info from UPT website. Peace.
  21. Ill add, learning to ground "yourself" is part of skydiving too (via gusty winds, minor injury, ect.)
  22. Or "not live" with the consequence, (not to be a wise ass). If anything at all will possibly hinder your ability to perform your EPs I wouldn't jump. Im new too, I wont jump if im the least bit tired. I've turned around a couple times from my hour commute to the DZ because I thought I was too tired to jump. I want to be able to jump again, the safety of myself and others is what's important to me. When you have a better idea of your capabilities (more experience) I think you can make a sound call if your able to jump with a minor injury. For now I wouldn't being new to skydiving. Be safe, hope your arm feels better, good luck with AFF. Don't wind up in the incidents forum, I hate when I see "1NEW".
  23. Try Danner boots. Last forever, super tough, handmade in Portland, OR (good for economy obviously), and when their Vibram souls wear out you can send them back to get resoled. The boot is a bitch to break in, once it does they fit like a glove. I have two pairs. The older pair I've had for about seven years now, resoled 4 times. I wear my boots from 6am-8 or 9pm everyday (stand for about 10 hours) They're too comfy! I wear skate shoes to skate in once in a while, my feet hurt. Pricey, but you get what you pay for. Good luck!
