  1. the only true religion is love. when you feel your heart with acceptance, you open your mind to a new world. "if we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten we belong to each other." "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  2. i dont agree with this. i give people respect out of benefit of a doubt. if you prove you dont deserve that respect, it is quickly withdrawn. i am in no way defending the jackass who is spouting off shit, and not disrespecting you in any way. "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  3. ***Does everyone throw down and have a damn good time at the DZ when the day is finished? *** lets just say if you get two or more skydivers together with some liquor or whatever you are into, some shit is going down. "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  4. there is no such thing as a question if you know everything "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  5. Just post in Bonfire when you're drunk... shouldn't be a problem there! And we like candid shots of boobies... post lots of those in Bonfire and you'll be a hero. You just need have a girl friend that is an exhibitionist. Well... actually more than one girl friend would be good. if she has a twin or a good friend and both have strong bi-sexual tendencies, that would help too! ...or a Horse! hey, this isnt brokeback mountain! or a fist... or two "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  6. there you go http://www.chutingstar.com/newgear_en/gopro-swivel-mount-curved-helmet-adaptor.html "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  7. sounds like you have been trying the wrong women. if you can get one you dont have to pay, they usually smell/taste better "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  8. sometimes experienced jumpers will keep their advice to themselves until you are off student status. sometimes to much info is bad thing, and giving students advice is best left to his/her instructor, and many experienced jumpers know this. they do not want to interfere with your learning that soon in the stage (that's why there are instructors). somethings you dont need to know yet, and they might be looking out for you instead of being assholes. and even if they are being assholes, you've forgot rule number 1, "the new guy always gets shit." "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  9. that is what i have been told as well. "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  10. seems like you need to find a new dz to jump at. i think i can count on one hand the assholes i've run into jumping over the last 1.5years. "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  11. the list is a great way to review ep's and it helped me to put them into my memory and be able to recall them without thinking. it is not the be all end all, but defiantly is a safety and training tool. sorry for the can o worms andy "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  12. which is? i put this up here for people to learn, including me. an explanation would be helpful. "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  13. idk wtf ur talking about "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  14. i'm not understanding your post. are you saying it is better to land a downplane than cut it away if the risers are tangled? out of the three scenarios the only mention of a cutaway was the downplane, i do not know of a better alternative than cutting away. "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  15. popsjumper gave this list to me in my fjc. a buddy wanted to review it so i typed him up one, and figured i'd throw it up one here because it helped tremendously when i was a student. edited to add: andy all i changed was the decision altitude and the pcit "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  16. fuck that, im still a libra "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  17. no worries. i have a shirt from last year just couldn't remember if it was included or not. thanks for the quick reply "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  18. Really? Damn that sucks. i find solos boring as well. That's because you consider freefall to be the be-all and end-all of skydiving. There's certainly nothing wrong with enjoying (and preferring) the freefall disciplines; but at sub-100 jumps (your profile says 78 jumps), there's a hell of a lot of canopy training you could do (a) to make you a safer skydiver, to yourself and others, and (b) to become a skilled enough canopy pilot that you just might be able to start swooping and enjoying it. There's no such thing as a wasted skydive; just a wasted opportunity. it seemed the op was talking about just doing solos. for me that would get very boring. i dont mind doing solos, but when you have to do them it gets boring. even high hops (which i love when the weather is warm) are more fun with other canopies. i try to do canopy drills on every jump, and i do if i have the altitude to burn. i realize that good canopy piloting is a must for a long skydiving career. i give it the respect and consideration it deserves, and my not being a huge fan of solos (which is freefall) has nothing to do with my mindset regarding canopy piloting/skills. 19. As it stands now, same as last year. Registration $35 Jump tickets $25 Balloon jumps $90 Observer ride $30 If gas and JetA prices continue to climb I may need to adjust a few dollars here or there but right now this is the plan. is a shirt included in the registration or separate? "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  20. bwaahaaha!!! "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  21. i asked the same question to someone once upon a time. their answer was that with aad's and how expensive rigs are, people dont want to take a chance on messing one up for practice. i know if i take my rig into water, i fucked up somewhere real bad. "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  22. i dont know how to get you there but this is what it should look like when you are done http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9pSz1Hm3Z4k "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  23. Really? Damn that sucks. i find solos boring as well. As fast as you fall, you don't have time to get bored on a 12 second skydive. i've dropped about 30/35 pounds since we jumped andy, and i can actually fly a little now. we need to do another jump together this year, and i promise i wont drink rocket fuel before! "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  24. that changes with the wind conditions. i am a new jumper, so i always find an experienced jumper (that i trust) on the load and ask what he recommends. "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
