  1. anyone seen the show? i just caught the first episode and it seems to be pretty good. "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  2. or a 210 that would be 1:1 "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  3. it is influenced by the government's need to regulate what we as a free people put into our body. they are using employee drug testing as a club to force their moral and religious views into the general public. if you support forced drug testing you are giving the government the sheep it needs. "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  4. what he said sc here we come! "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  5. "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  6. I have always thought that it is terrible as a marketing idea. It is basically telling customers that "skydiving (and my business) attracts drug users". If I had a business of any kind, I would want the public to think that it is so professional that the type of person that used drugs would not be interested in working there. you bring up a very good point. "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  7. good luck with that... "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  8. THANK YOU!!! i JUST had the conversation with some 20-something's tonight. They don't get why I don't text. Easier to dial 10 numbers and say what I want to say. Oh, crap .... does that mean we're old?! i'm only 23, so it just means that you are old "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  9. does order matter to a smart phone skygod. didnt think so! "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  10. why do people spend 30 minutes texting when a 10 second call will accomplish the same thing "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  11. for me, being supervised, was going over the winds (from ground to altitude) with an instructor, going over the landing pattern and holding zone, a brief dive flow (always have a plan even when you are by yourself), a gear check, and some help spotting from an experienced jumper on the load. you will be jumping with coaches, instructors, and possibly d license holders while on student status. some things you have to have signed off on your a card. http://www.uspa.org/Portals/0/Downloads/Form_ALicenseProgandApp.pdf depending on where you jump and what is included in the package (if you choose to do it that way), you will have to pay the coaches to jump. some just charge a lift ticket and pack job, and some charge more. "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  12. i would go ahead and buy goggles, cheap helmet, and an analog altimeter. use rental gear for a while until you know what you are looking for in a rig. it is too big of an investment to blindly stumble into. "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  13. i figured that. i dont watch much tv "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  14. it's happened, we can all be skygods with our smart phones http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gq0P5HUSX6A "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  15. Matt he is right. i was applying the k.i.s.s principal since the op probably doesn't know the difference. he asked a general question and i gave a general answer. i'll shut up now. "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  16. you are only allowed to jump by yourself or with a person holding a coach rating until you get your A. once you have your A you can jump with other skydivers (not just ones with a coach rating). "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  17. i thought the show was called real housewives of atlanta. "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  18. it took my buddy 12 jumps to get through his aff so dont stress a repeat, it happens to a lot of people. i remember the first jump where i was able to relax, it was around 15. i was standing in the door looking out nervous as hell, and i said, "fuck it, it'll open. i got this." at that point it was my favorite dive. calm and easy. dont fight the wind, cause that is a battle you will never win. it sounds kinda dorky but let the wind pass through you. when you are relaxed you float on the wind, if you are tense the wind will beat the shit out of you. next time you are driving down the interstate stick you arm out of the window. hold it tense, then release the tension. feel the difference, a relaxed freefall is a lot more fun. another thing that helped me relax was gaining trust in my equipment. it's a parachute and it wants to open. this helped with my anxiety level tremendously. trust in your gear, IT WORKS!!! trust in your instructors, THEY HAVE BEEN WHERE YOU ARE and ARE THERE FOR YOU (i think this one will be easy now) trust in yourself, YOU KNOW YOUR TRAINING "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  19. i think they would beat each other to death. "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  20. congrats on getting your rig set up. the farm puts on a crazy halloween boogie and you have 10 months to save up! "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  21. good choice "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  22. you wanna watch the whole word die? "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  23. i not really a fan of star wars, but i like the ones with luke skywalker. edited to add: the newer dune movie follows the story line better than the older one. wtf is up with it raining at the end of the old pos movie? both movies did a horrible job of portraying the bene gesserit. "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  24. arrogant bastard beer really though http://www.arrogantbastard.com/ "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
  25. the newer movie is by far better than the old one. neither movie comes even close to giving the book justice. i have read dune so many times i cant remember. there are around 16 17 books in the dune universe. frank herberts son did a fairly good job of finishing the series and the prologue books. "Never grow a wishbone, where your backbone ought to be."
