  1. From my experience with PF that has never happened. So I think you check the mails very seldom. For me what is most annoying is that I have never seen (maybe I read those forums too little) any PF person to actually admit that they messed up but the answer is always "We are doing everything perfectly, all is fine. Those things that people write about is just not true"
  2. If that's bashing I don't want to know how flattering looks like :) But back to the topic.. Do you mean that the air through the hole flows between the deflector and the legwing?
  3. seems like lately this should be added to every post as a disclaimer :)
  4. I think he meant putting your rig on with wingsuit already attached. Not attaching WS to your rig.
  5. You should lift your knees up and punch forward with your arms to "release" the sleeves. Otherwise the wing will keep your hands inside the sleeves. I'm doing that and have absolutely no problem reaching above toggles on my 24'' risers. Yes, I'm aware of how they should work. But, compared to, e.g., my S-bird, it is far harder to do that in the Funk. My guess would be that it's because the shape of the wing, not the construction of the sleeve. In case of Funk/Havoc the wing goes straight to the leg from the wrist so you can't pull the hand up at all, but in S-bird it doesn't and has some "slack" for pulling the hand up.
  6. In my case that was just one small part of the review, definitely not the main point.
  7. With Tony and Squirrel suits you can adjust the pressure inside the wings with zippers inside the sleeves.

  9. Got my Funk just before the weekend and managed to do 8 jumps on it. I have to say it is an awesome suit. It took me couple of jumps to get used to grip less design. The suit pressurizes instantly both on belly and back. Even though it's rock solid, it flies very "lightly". It is harder to get back on the belly than on Havoc Carve. The pull is SUPER easy, much easier than Havoc, mostly because of glide skin on the wrist. The range is very wide. You can easily flock with Phantoms but also with solid input watch them drop down like rocks. Flying the suit is pure pleasure, flat turns, banking turns, diving turns are all super smooth. Flying on the back is also super easy. On the first attempt for long flight I managed to get 2 min 53 sec from 3800 m with pull at 1100 m (12 460 to 3 600 ft). _Maximum_ downward speed on my Viso showed 79 kph (49 mph) with my exit weight being slightly over 110 kilos (242 lbs). Don't know about GR because i don't have any flight sight or anything. Of course the quality, customer service etc. etc. is great. It's my 3rd squirrel suit and I can't think of a single thing that could have been done better.
  10. Just a personal opinion, but I think it adds a bit of "normal" factor to the race and it not being too perfect and tip top like olympics...
  11. Wouldn't a compressed air or Co2 system(valves and doodads) be a bit more draggy and heavy than small vents?
  12. Actually I would love to speed up my openings :) I haven't tried the full RDS yet on my canopy, only the removable slider. On my dropzone it's quite hard to jump hop'n'pops from around 2000m (6600 ft) and I was thinking how wise would it be to jump terminal jumps with full RDS.
  13. You can also see it this way: After jumping 223 jumps on KA120, he decided to downsize to Velo96, and tested KA107 for 8 jumps before the switch. Doesn't seem that stupid for me.
  14. Well, if you downsize after one jump, I'd like to see what canopy you have after 100 jumps :)
  15. IMHO flaring your canopy with your rear risers is one of the basic skills you should know e.g. before downsizing. In case e.g. if your steering line breaks (e.g. below 200 when using reserve is not really an option)
  16. Type "AFF - Canopy Drills" to google. Those are good exercises you can do up high. Here's the first one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EFmuFGb6_QY
  17. Over the years I have learnt that 'likely' usually does not have have any meaning at all. Just like statistically every person in the world has roughly one testicle and one boob :)
  18. Is there an additional leg vent or are you talking about the nutsack?
  19. Although good point, what does that have to do with terminal openings?
  20. I tried searching forums, but haven't found anything, so if that topic has been discussed already, point me to it. So anyway, what is the reason not to use full RDS in terminal jumps? At least PD doesn't recommend it. Or has this changed over the years? In competitions guys going first sometimes take quite a delay, so it can't be that dangerous?
  21. Anybody got a chance to fly with Funk? It seems to be a bit tighter in the torso area than other Squirrel suits(?)
  22. Same here. With two squirrel wingsuits I couldn't be happier
  23. you either gained some serious weight, or got really bad at math during your break
  24. Does that mean the new Venom power does not have those anymore? (and any future PF suit)
