  1. Congrats! BEER! Thanks. I don't drink, so I did soda instead. "You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him." - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
  2. I jump for several reasons, but perhaps most of all, I like the challenge. I wish I could say that I never feel anxiety before a jump, but a lot of times I do. Skydiving enables me to challenge that anxiety and to overcome it. And after I have jumped, I feel like I have grown, that my spirit has grown stronger, and that I have overcome. As Friedrich Nietzsche said, "that which does not kill me makes me stronger." I think this is very true in skydiving. If the jump doesn't kill me, I walk away with a stronger spirit. Other reasons: I like the thrill. I like the view. It gaves me a greater appreciation of nature and God's creation in general. I like the camaraderie. I am sure I can think of other reasons if I really try, but that is enough for now. 3. No, I am not trolling. BTW, the cases of soda was popsjumper's idea. "You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him." - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
  4. Hello, everybody. So I finally graduated AFF yesterday. Of course, I get told about having to buy everybody beer (which I already knew). The only problem is: I don't drink, and for similar reasons, I don't buy alcohol. So I did the next best thing: I bought some cases of soda. But it made me wonder: Am I the only one here who doesn't drink? Or I am condemned to stick out like a sore thumb among skydivers, because I don't partake in the beer tradition? Anybody? 5. Yay! I graduated AFF yesterday at the boogie! Too bad I can't make it today or tomorrow. "You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him." - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
  6. Depends on the hotness factor of the older person.... Agreed. Most of the women I've dated have been older than me anyhow. My first was 30/17. "You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him." - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
  7. Hey, I didn't make it up. I just posted it. Plus, it was reported on CNN, so it must be true. We all know that CNN reports only facts. Duh!!!!!!!!!!! http://urbanlegends.about.com/library/bl_fell_cancer_cure.htm Nice find. Thanks. Personally, I didn't care enough to research if it was true or false. 9. Source: http://www.tatom.org/documents/CNN.com-StudyNewstudyshows.htm (AP) -- Women who perform the act of fellatio and swallow semen on a regular basis, one to two times a week, may reduce their risk of breast cancer by up to 40 percent, a North Carolina State University study found. Doctors had never suspected a link between the act of fellatio and breast cancer, but new research being performed at North Carolina State University is starting to suggest that there could be an important link between the two. In a study of over 15,000 women suspected of having performed regular fellatio and swallowed the ejaculatory fluid, over the past ten years, the researchers found that those actually having performed the act regularly, one to two times a week, had a lower occurrence of breast cancer than those who had not. There was no increased risk, however, for those who did not regularly perform. "I think it removes the last shade of doubt that fellatio is actually a healthy act," said Dr. A.J. Kramer of Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, who was not involved in the research. "I am surprised by these findings, but am also excited that the researchers may have discovered a relatively easy way to lower the occurrence of breast cancer in women." The University researchers stressed that, though breast cancer is relatively uncommon, any steps taken to reduce the risk would be a wise decision. "Only with regular occurrence will your chances be reduced, so I encourage all women out there to make fellatio an important part of their daily routine," said Dr. Helena Shifteer, one of the researchers at the University. "Since the emergence of the research, I try to fellate at least once every other night to reduce my chances." The study is reported in Friday's Journal of Medical Research. In 1991, 43,582 women died of breast cancer, as reported by the National Cancer Institute. Dr. Len Lictepeen, deputy chief medical officer for the American Cancer Society, said women should not overlook or "play down" these findings. "This will hopefully change women's practice and patterns, resulting in a severe drop in the future number of cases," Lictepeen said. Sooner said the research shows no increase in the risk of breast cancer in those who are, for whatever reason, not able to fellate regularly. "There's definitely fertile ground for more research. Many have stepped forward to volunteer for related research now in the planning stages," he said. Almost every woman is, at some point, going to perform the act of fellatio, but it is the frequency at which this event occurs that makes the difference, say researchers. Also key seems to be the protein and enzyme count in the semen, but researchers are again waiting for more test data. The reasearch consisted of two groups, 6,246 women ages 25 to 45 who had performed fellatio and swallowed on a regular basis over the past five to ten years, and 9,728 women who had not or did not swallow. The group of women who had performed and swallowed had a breast cancer rate of 1.9 percent and the group who had not had a breast cancer rate of 10.4 percent. "The findings do suggest that there are other causes for breast cancer besides the absence of regular fellatio," Shafteer said. "It's a cause, not THE cause." 10. Lame poll. I voted for "other" because I didn't see an option for "No. It is a big turn-on" listed. "You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him." - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
  11. I have a complete backup of all the files from your website. The question is: how much will you pay me for them? "You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him." - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
  12. http://russiatoday.ru/Top_News/2009-04-14/Hairdresser_turns_robber_into_sex-slave.html?fullstory A hairdresser from the small Russian town of Meshchovsk has subdued a man who tried to rob her shop, and then raped him for three days in the utility room, Life.ru reports. The incident occurred on Saturday, March 14. The working day was coming to an end at a small hairdressers, when a man armed with a gun rushed in and demanded the day’s earnings. The frightened employees and customers agreed to fulfill his demand, but when the shop’s owner, 28-year-old Olga, was handing the money to the robber, she suddenly knocked him down on the floor and then tied him up with a hairdryer cord. The 32-year-old Viktor couldn’t have known that the woman was a yellow belt in karate. Olga locked the unlucky robber in the utility room and told her colleagues that she was going to call the police – but didn’t do so. When everybody left home, she approached the man and ordered him to ‘take of his underpants’ threatening to hand him over to the police if he refuses to cooperate. After that Olga raped her hostage for three long days. She chained Viktor to the radiator with pink furry handcuffs and fed him Viagra. She eventually let the man go on Monday, March 16, saying: “Get out of my sight!” Viktor went straight to hospital as his genitals were injured, and then to the police. Olga was resentful when she was taken by the police. “What a bastard,” the woman said about Viktor. “Yes, we had sex a couple of times. But I’ve bought him new jeans, gave him food and even gave him 1.000 roubles (around $ 30) when he left.” After that she wrote a notice to the police claiming the man tried to rob her shop. Both Olga and Viktor may now face prison terms. The woman could be convicted of rape, while the man of robbery. 18. From a man's perspective, it sounds to me like you are confusing love and passion. They are not the same, but most people feel passion and think it is love. It is not. I don't think it is possible to love a person without respecting him; it is possible to be passionate towards a person without respecting him. At the same time, it is also possible to respect a person in general, but not respect everything he or she does. But this begs the question, is it just certain things about him that you don't respect, or is it just the big picture? 21. Thanks. I plan to do my AFF ground school and first jump tomorrow. Welcome to the jungle! Keep us up to date on the AFF progress. Ok. So I did my AFF Level 1 today. Here is the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6kkaxL7676A&feature=channel_page I wasn't nervous during my tandem jump, but I was nervous in AFF Level 1. Even in the video, when I said that I wasn't nervous, I was lying through my teeth. AFF is very intensive ground school, and very intensive training, and can easily scare away someone who has never jumped before. Thus, I would recommend someone do tandem first. However, once I deployed my chute, the rest was simply beautiful, peaceful, and simply indescribable. Nice level 1 jump! Looks like your camera man had a nice opening. Oh nice Andy Thanks. BTW, Andy was great. "You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him." - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
