What is the preferred method of output for video editing?

As long as you have DVI out put from your video card you can hook up an LCD HD TV to your computer. The quality depends on how good the video card is.

I would just buy a new video card that supports dual monitor and buy another computer monitor. I use Vegas Pro 8 which supports out putting the video to a second monitor. That way I wouldn't need to make use of my camcorder in the way you describe.

No one else can see what you are imagining. There are no real world result from your spirtual "needs" being fulfilled. Prayer is not anything more then wishful thinking. The lack of evidence that any deity exists disqualifys any God from being a force in the universe. Your belief in your chosen mythology does not mean it's true. If you stopped and used reason and not emotions to look at religion or the idea of god you will find that their is nothing to back either.

I used an HC5 and only hooked up the firewire.

All of my video was recorded to hard drive via NLE. After that I don't know what they did with it. I know it wasn't recorded to DVD from my camera. They tried that for two rounds and it didn't work right and the video was lost so I had to redo it via NLE.

I don't think it's unreasonable when you consider it wouldn't necessarily go into effect till maybe 2010. This year you could purchase one new camera and for competition use the new HD camera as back up and the SD camera as primary. The HD cameras can record SD footage. Eventually it will too expensive and too hard to find the old cameras to use for competition. Why wait till that happens?

um yea sort of. Those tennis balls that you see being used are filled with lead and the streamers are used to fine tune the fall rate. If they are not caught and carried down they could possibly hit someone or some thing and do significant damage. And there lots of fun.

Is it better to stick with the old technology and make people have to buy off of Ebay? or push forward and require people to update their equipment? It will be come harder and more expensive to buy older cameras just to accomadate those that don't want to spend the money to update to new cameras. If that includes buying a new helmet etc, hey I did it. I wanted to shoot in HD so at the begining of this year I bought a whole new setup, camera and helmet. At the US Nationals I ended up shooting SD instead of HD because I didn't want the judges to see letter boxed wide screen video. It's on my wish list that the judges would instead see the competition video in HD on LCD widescreen TV's. I don't think that will happen this next year, but I think we need to start pushing for that to happen.

It would be nice to have all the video in 1080i. I don't think it would be unreasonable to require all camera flyers to shoot in some form of 1080i, either HDV or AVCHD. The cost of the camera is not that much anymore.

The extent that people believe in something has no effect on the valididity of their belief nor does the number of people lend in anymore credibility. I don't think anyone here has been angry or rude in this discussion. Do you characterize all atheists this way?

I just finished watching this online. It's very interesting. It really shows the unreasonable stances that creationists take. I think they made a very poor attempt at defending Intelligent Design/Creationism. I think it is sad that people really want to throw away science in favor of mythology.

I keep coming back to this absolutely ridiculous statement. Atheism in no way tries to difine anything about "spiritual reality". It does disbelieve the existence of "spiritual reality". I don't believe in spiritualism at all. I believe it only exists in your imagination. So far I have not seen anything to lead me to believe otherwise.

You are confused. Atheism is not a religion. Religion requires belief in something. Atheism is the opposite. Atheism has nothing to do with spirituality. There is no evidence of spirituality so there is no reason to believe in it. What you imagine to be evidence is only valid or visible to you and can not be demonstrated to anyone else.

You need to look up the definition of religion. Are you thinking of Scientology? Till there is evidence of any god I have no reason to believe any god exists much less the Christian God. Atheism is not and never has been a religion, no matter how much you want to say it is.
