  1. Hmm.. apparently it wasn't a priority for Interstate Battery. I never asked about the jumpsuits. Never even thought about it till now.
  2. I have no idea. I am not in the commercial and had nothing to do with it, other then observing them at the dropzone. It's just the usual lawyer's disclaimer would be my guess.
  3. I agree, it's more then most whuffos get to see. Shows a more realistic view of skydiving.
  4. From what I was told this was all done in a very short time frame. In a matter of weeks. So no time to build new jumpsuits. The skydiving part was done over two days, maybe three. I know it was done over a Saturday and Sunday not sure about Monday as I have to work weekdays. But then again someone always has to come up with a negative critic.
  5. I don't know if anyone has posted this yet, but this was shot at Skydive Dallas. Pretty cool. The skydving was organized by Al Hively and Scott Latinis. It was fun to watch this whole thing being organized. They all did a great job. Looks great.
  6. I have family in Elgin so it will be convenient for me.
  7. That is by far the most insane stunt I have ever seen! No room for error at all. Pretty amazing!
  8. I spoke directly with the CEO of iFly so it's not second hand. "Ground was broken" doesn't mean major construction has started. It wouldn't be noticeable. But we can't start booking time till it's up and being tested.
  9. The Dallas tunnel is supposed to be up and running early next year. I don't think they have started major construction yet. I was told they have broken ground. I don't know anything about any other location.
  10. Some people just like to create controversy and conspiracy theories. Apparently they have nothing better to do.
  11. I think it's more accurate to say Rich People at their worst. I don't think it necessarily depends on where the money comes from.
  12. Many of the CREW canopies are set up for sub terminal openings only. No deployment bag(diaper instead), mesh slider. The opening shock from a terminal deployment would be very painful.
  13. So is that a 9 cell cross braced canopy?
  14. I don't know the answer to that, but if I had to guess, it's probably due to the logistics of building the tunnels. From what I was told the funding has been secured and they are now in the planning and building phase with the Austin tunnel as the first one and Dallas second on the list of locations. The said what the order was for the next four but I don't remember it. Next four are Dallas, Chicago, New York and Houston. Not in that order. All was really paying attention to was the new tunnel that is supposed to be built in Dallas.
  15. Heard from the CEO of Skyventure that it's on the list. Dallas is the next tunnel to be built. I don't know what the order is but the Chicago tunnel is in the list of the next 4 tunnels to be built.
  16. Where is your office? My office is in Plano at Coit and 15th st. It's only about 20 minutes from my apartment. I will be broke too. I have time booked for Feb 15th and 16th if you can make it down to Austin, come fly with me.
  17. Near the Stonebriar Mall, 121 and the Dallas North Tollway. I was told it's going to be the same design as the Austin tunnel. Just got back from Austin yesterday and that tunnel is freakin awesome!!!
  18. The OKC Skydivers I know of jump mostly at Skydive Dallas.
  19. It's not open yet, but construction is very close to being done!
  20. The really good news for you is that Austin has a new wind tunnel opening in January!!!!
  21. Can someone post the draws or point me to the right page? I can't find them listed anywhere.
  22. Even if it's allowed, it's still the most likely place where you could come into contact or close proximity to an airplane. So extreme caution should be taken and swooping would not be advised.
