  1. Cool!, Looks like you have a good product. Hopefully when you get some dealers set up in the USA the price won't be quite as high. Thanks again for the info. Blue Skies, Jason
  2. Here is some additional info that Carla sent me (by PM accidentily) Judging from the attached pic, it looks like the contacts on the Stereo Plug are wired together where blowing on the switch closes the contact for the Auto focus and Shutter release on a Canon EOS camera(which is the same way my Conceptus is wired) Looking at the pic in your classified ad, it appears that you can adjust the pressure that it takes to close the switch contacts(very cool feature). The more I learn about this product the more interested I become. Have you thought about setting up dealers in the USA to help promote the product over here? Thanks again and Blue Skies, Jason
  3. Hey Carla, Thanks for the reply. So that's about $86 final price. That's a bit more expensive than I pay for my tounge switches. I have NEVER gotten five years out of a tounge switch though. It might be worth the extra cost up front to have a more reliable switch. Certainly something to consider. Do you intend to have any US dealers set-up for sales/service? Thanks again and Blue Skies, Jason
  4. Wow, I have to give you credit on trying to market your product. Digging up a thread that is almost seven years old. That's good use of the search function! Looks like a good product. I have gotten so used to my tounge switch, I don't know if I could change now. But, just out of curiosity, what would the final price to a USA customer be? Shipping and exchange rate considered. Blue Skies, Jason
  5. Congratulations!! Blue Skies, Jason
  6. Hey Billy, It sounds like what you did is fine. No need for conduit. You just need to make sure the boxes that you used to splice the wires are accessiable when you finish the drywall. eg,. the opening should be facing "down" and a cover installed after the drywall is complete. Hope this helps. Blue Skies, Jason
  7. Hey Jerry, I know you were not talking to me but I am a licensed electrician. To answer your question, sometimes it is required (by the NEC) to oversize the conductor (wire) to account for voltage drop. There are calculations (that I won't go into here) to determine the min. conductor size for a given application. There are several factors that come into play(distance from source to load, load type and size, type of insulation on the wire, is the wire run through free air, in a raceway or conduit, etc.) Hope this helps. Blue Skies, Jason
  8. Hey Billy, I am a licensed electrician. Certified in TN and GA(which recipricates with AL). If you still need some help, drop me a PM with your phone number and I will call you with advice. Blue Skies, Jason
  9. When I jump the Twin Beech or the Cessna 195 I use them till about 9000 ft when I begin my exit prep. When I jump Mullins' King Air I don't have time to use them! (For those that may not know, it's 7 min. to 14,000 in that plane) Blue Skies, Jason
  10. If you can't figure it out from the manual, just contact them here [email protected] and I guarantee they will take care of it. They have an excellent track record of standing behind their products. Blue Skies, Jason Edit: Looks like you have figured out it's broke. Hope the contact info helps.
  11. LOL, you can say it... I wasn't trying to hide it, just not done with the plate. I assume you refer to my integrated entertainment system, ie Ipod and surround sound system hehe Can you elaborate on this? Do you have speakers inside the helmet? Again, Congrats on a job well done! Blue Skies, Jason
  12. Certainly gives a new meaning to the term "full face helmet"!! What is the design of the "teeth" supposed to be? How much of the construction is carbon fiber? How much is fiberglass? Congratulations on a "unique" work of art. Blue Skies, Jason
  13. Thanks for the update!! Congratulations ladies!! Blue Skies, Jason
  14. Thanks for the updates. Cool pics!! Please keep us posted. Blue Skies, Jason
  15. Thanks for the reply. I thought that might be what he meant. I will have to check mine out and see if it has that option. Blue skies, Jason
  16. Please excuse my ignorance, could you explain what you mean by "keep it spun up"? Thanks and Blue Skies, Jason
  17. Thanks for the reply. I was hoping it was much closer than that with the cx100 getting close just lacking on the stills side. Any chances of a cam that could do it in SD anytime soon? Thanks again and Blue Skies, Jason P.S. Sorry for the Hijack.
  18. Perhaps I wasn't clear in my OP. I am looking for a camera that will take hi res pics at an acceptable frame rate while simultaneously shooting HD vid. If I read the reveiws correctly, this cam can only do one at a time. I think that the CX100 can do both at the same time but the frame rate and res. of the pics are not acceptable for us. Blue Skies, Jason
  19. I wonder how much longer we are going to have to wait till we see an all in one solution for our application. By that I mean, a camera that will shoot HD video and capture high resolution stills (at an acceptable frame rate) at the same time. I hope it's soon! Blue Skies, Jason
  20. Got mine in the mail yesterday and read it cover to cover today at work . I like it! I really enjoyed the article about Valinda, what an inspiration!! I did notice that they didn't have themselves on the beer fines list for "first issue"! Keep up the good work guys! Blue Skies, Jason
  21. the PC 101 does have a LANC port. It works very well with the cameye. Blue is standby, red is record. Info here:http://www.skytools.m.se/cameyesport.htm Blue Skies, Jason
  22. I bought a two year subscription last night. I was so bummed out when Skydiving shut down. I hope this will be a good replacement. I wish the owners the best! Blue Skies, Jason
  23. Please forgive my ignorance but, what is the red loop coming out of the helmet behind the box? I am assuming that it's the release for the Zkulls. BTW that's one of the smoothest and safest set-ups that I have seen. Thanks and Blue Skies, Jason
  24. Thanks for posting this here. I don't usually look at the incident forum everyday so I hadn't heard this. I will be praying for a speedy recovery for you Spot. Blue Skies, Jason
  25. So they have a Westwind back at Green Co. now? They are really cool aircraft. We had one in Tullahoma back in 2003 and 2004 and I did about 250 camera jumps out of it. We are currently using a standard Twin Beech with radial engines and I have about 200 camera jumps from it. Here are the two options that our vidiots use for tandems. 1) Rear float, squatting down for better line of sight; as the tandem rocks forward on "go", let go and fall away (wings collapsed) with your chest in the relative wind and legs out to minimize seperation. 2) (more advanced) Rear float, squatting down for better line of sight; as the tandem rocks forward on "go"(timing is critical so you don't hit the exiting pair), push off forward, launching your head into the relative wind with wings collapsed and legs out, as you fall away from the plane and the tandem deployes the droge you have to transition to belly or sit without losing the subject in the frame. I have pics at home that will better show the differances. I will try and post them this evening. Front float might work as well (no one here has done it) but it's a low wing a/c and most of the front float camera exits that I have seen have been from Twin Otters (high wing). The Westwind pilot used to drop the gear on jump run to help CG and help push the tail up more. Hope this helps. Blue Skies, Jason
