  1. It is so hard to type with tears streaming down my cheeks. I don't know where to start, I have lived in Tullahoma all my life and have seen canopies in the air so many times growing up. I had always wanted to skydive, in 1999 my younger brother made his first tandem at Tennessee Skydiving Center with Fast Eddie, Chris was flying N5542B for that jump. I'm sure most of you have seen the end of this jump because Patrick puked and fell over as soon as Eddie got him unhooked. I know Eddie showed it at the WFFC several times as well as lots of other places. Patrick was not hindered by this though, in Oct. of 2000 he decided to make another tandem and asked me if I would want to go. I said I would and a few weeks later I made my first skydive with Dave Nye as my tandem instructor from N5542B with pilot Chris Martin. In June of the next year Patrick and I both went through AFF at TSC, again each of our jumps was made from N5542B with Chris flying. I have since made almost 500 jumps with the majority of them at TSC. I am now the primary video guy at TSC and I feel that I owe all of this to my dear friend Chris Martin for having such a great DZ 5 miles from my front door. Kristi, I am truly honored that you have asked me to video Chris' memorial dive. Charity and I will continue to pray for you and the girls and be there for you anyway we can. I am amazed at the strength that I have seen in you(especially today.) I am putting together a photo slide show to be presented at Chris' memorial and would appreciate any photos that anyone would like to contribute. Please sent pics of Chris to [email protected] I will also be working on a memorial video with Cowboy in the near future. Please e-mail [email protected] if you have some footage that you would like to contribute and we can discuss how to get it to me. I will never forget you Chris. Jason Waller
  2. Well, I have to admit that my first reaction was "That's way too expensive!!" then I got to thinking about it. I visit the site at least once almost every day, I have used the classifieds to buy gear, I have gotten so much info from the forums that I could never put a price on and I don't want to lose this awesome site so I signed up. Thanks for providing such great service to the skydiving community. Jason .
  3. I had a hook knife go by from a 4-way and also had a tandem instructor lose his bonehead mindwarp right after exit. (the strap didn't get fastened good) Made for a funny vid with him looking up after it when it came off. And we did find it on the DZ but his Pro Track came out and we didn't find that. Gotta keep an eye out for that stuff! Later, Jason
  4. Thank you so much for the very useful info!! I appreciate you taking the time to be so helpful. It's good to see that there are still some people out there who don't mind helping out a fellow jumper even if it seems to be beating a dead horse. I know this info will be useful to others in the future. I did enjoy the play by play as well!! Thanks again, Jason
  5. Wow!! What a horror story! Thanks for the info. Yeah, We all know your ALWAYS on time!!(lol) Thanks, Jason
  6. I'm glad to hear that you didn't have any trouble. I hope to be as successful. Thanks, Jason
  7. Thank you so much!! I printed a copy so now I feel like I shouldn't have any trouble. Thanks Again, Jason
  8. That is Very,Very helpful. One question though, what is the letter to Ed Scott that you referred to and where can I get a copy of it? Thanks so much for the helpful info, Jason
  9. Thanks for the info!! That is exactly what I was hoping to hear. Thanks again, Jason
  10. I did do a search and I would have been satisfied except when I talked to the AA rep.( as mentioned before) So I was hoping some one would have some first hand info. Thanks, Jason
  11. I will do my best to get one together at Tennessee Skydiving Center in Tullahoma. I will have my cameras on as well. Blu Skyz, Jason
  12. I will be flying American Airlines out of Nashville,TN (BNA) next Tues. I spoke to a rep on the phone this evening and she told me that they do not want any rig on the plane that has a propellant in it either checked or carry-on. She didn't know what "propellant" meant or why they restricted them. She said I should contact the TSA and gave me a 1-800 number to call. I was wondering if anyone has flown with them lately and had any problems carrying on a rig with a CYPRES. I will be flying in to Las Vegas, NV (LAS). Thanks, Jason
  13. Wow!! I would much rather see planes at 13,000' than at 100' in my landing pattern. Thanks for your responses, Jason
  14. No, I was wondering if other DZ's close to Military Installations saw this on a regular basis. That is WILD!! Jason
  15. Our pilot is US Air Force and he was surprised that ATC didn't tell him that they were in the area. They were pretty close though. I guessed about 1-1.5 miles out. Jason
  16. This is a pic I took Sun. afternoon in Tullahoma, TN In the background is four jets of some sort.(although they are hard to see due to file size restrictions here) I noticed them right after we left the plane and got it on vid and with my Dig Rebel(source of this pic). I don't know where they came from nor where they were going and no one else saw them other than a few folks on the ground.(including our pilot) I was wondering if anyone else has seen anything like this and if so where. I thought it was totally awesome!! Later, Jason
  17. PC 101 (probably not currently available without alot of looking) .
  18. I wasn't sure about that spelling. I actually got it from a post here(I should have known skydivers can't spell). I understand what you are saying about continuity and I probably will change fonts. I was trying to go for some variety and some old looking text for an old quote. I really wasn't trying to tell a story. I just wanted to show some cool shots so when the student takes their vid home and watches it over and over again(like I did mine)it will stimulate them to pursue the sport. Thanks for your comments, Jason
  19. I like the way yours looks as well although I am not a big fan of increasing the speed of shots. In the beginning I tried to use the climb out to build as the music built, probably is a bit slow but I liked the effect. Thanks for your comments, Jason
  20. Thanks for your comments. Refer to my reply to Dalailama about the beginning and content. I do like the suggestion about the ending, I think I will modify it like you said. The song is Sandstorm by Darude or Darule Thanks again for your comments, Jason
  21. Thanks for your comments. I was trying very hard to keep the timing with the music at the front of the clip right so I had to shorten the name and phone #. I will consider adding some aff footage but I was wanting to show some really cool footage to wet their appetite to pursue the sport but also wanted to show some tandem footage so they would understand that tandem is just as much a skydive as any other and they are a skydiver. Thanks again for your input, Jason
  22. Thanks, I love that HD shot though. I thought the white flashes accented the music but they may be a distraction. Thanks again, Jason
  23. I would like for you to check out my trailer and let me know what you think. I plan on using this at the beginning of all the tandem vids that I do. If you click on the link below, log in, then minimize that window so your back to this post then click on this link again and it will take you there. http://www.skydivingmovies.com/ver2/pafiledb.php?action=file&id=1508 There may be an easier way to get there but I couldn't figure it out. Thanks for your time, Jason
  24. I do have a PC 101 video cam but the new one is for still pics. I may not have some settings right since I'm not a photographer I really don't know. They looked OK to me though.
