  1. I'm truly sorry for your loss. Sometimes it's hard to come to grips with the fact that we're here for only a short amount of time. Some longer than others. Good people here for a shorter amount of time than bad people. Young people leaving before older people. Unfair? Yes. Took me a while to come to grips with a lot of that. It is what it is. Enjoy every day you're breathing. Always be kinder than you feel.
  2. Definition of mimosa from Wiki A Mimosa is a cocktail-like drink composed of one part champagne (or other sparkling wine) and one part thoroughly chilled citrus fruit juice, usually orange juice unless otherwise specified (e.g. "grapefruit [juice] mimosa"). It is traditionally served in a tall champagne flute with a morning brunch as hair of the dog or to guests at weddings.[1] Hair of the Dog? If THAT is hair of the dog, that dude has some femininity issues unresolved. See what I mean? A man secure in his masculinity wouldn't care about fruity drinks, little dogs or riding a scooter instead of a big hog around the island. Always be kinder than you feel.
  3. How was he with the phrase "Don't touch me there."? Glad you had a great one. Been loving your pics.
  4. Eagles win, Boardwalk Empire season premier, pulled silver on a dude who had problems with the word "NO" and caught every beautiful sunrise, sunset and beautiful moon on the ocean. I loved this weekend. Always be kinder than you feel.
  5. I don't know. It should be here this week and I'll take a picture. I heard it's ah-maz-ing. For reference, there's one that's always here called the Gallant Lady of Dover, Delaware (the yacht, not her sportfishing boat). She's beautiful. I was told it looks just like that but smaller, of course. http://www.superyachts.com/luxury-yacht-for-sale/gallant-lady-1107/ Well, since I recently "cut bait" I don't think I'll be going. Oh well. Always be kinder than you feel.
  6. Fuckin' A! She would have been the coolest mom... From all accounts I've read or watched lately she was an amazing Mom and Grandmother. I kind of feel bad I wasn't a fan after seeing so many great things about her the last few days. I think I'm going to order her latest book. Always be kinder than you feel.
  7. Little spoon. Just don't trap me by throwing your leg and arm over me and fall asleep, then get mad when I'm dying of heat and have to move. Always be kinder than you feel.
  8. I just remembered I have quite a few of her costume jewelry pieces I bought from QVC. They were beautiful with my work suits. Always be kinder than you feel.
  9. She's never been my cup of tea since I thought she was mean in her comedy routines and red carpet hosting. I get that it's comedy and fashion reporting (ohhhhh so important in the grand scheme of life!) but I know others absolutely loved her and enjoyed her immensely. I've read she was extremely charitable to many causes and very close to her family and friends. I'm always sad when someone who has a truly good heart (not the on stage persona) passes on. I hope her daughter carries on some of the good works. I expect the Joan Rivers drag queens in Key West and Atlantic City will do some sort of tribute this evening. Always be kinder than you feel.
  10. Diana? Or Don? Looks like a dude. She's not claiming to be a Victoria's Secret model. She's an amazing athlete who worked her way out of a really shitty childhood, one that I can totally relate to, and she's beautiful IMHO. I was face to face with her and she's gorgeous but I tend to see the beauty in every face I see. Always be kinder than you feel.
  11. Sooooo..... this morning I met Diana Nyad. The Key West Arts in Public Places committee honored her with a bronze plaque to be mounted on the wall at Smathers Beach in Key West where she came ashore last year (entrance 11). Her body is amazing and she's even more beautiful in person. Here's a picture from the event... Always be kinder than you feel.
  12. OMG.... beautiful. There's a guy here who keeps asking me out who lives on one that looks like that. I keep getting the "let me take you to the Marquesas for the weekend" offers but I fear becoming shark bait. Always be kinder than you feel.
  13. That hasn't always worked, so an additional hex wrench in the toolbox is welcome. I agree that it's good to have extra tools, but when has my suggestion not worked? Honest question. I'm curious to know how someone can be drugged if her drink is always under her control? I've heard stories where the bartender would slip the drug into the drink for a guy and give it to the unsuspecting lady. Now you may say what about just drinking bottled/canned beer... well, I don't know any bars that will give you an unopened beer, pretty sure it's the law that it has to be opened before they hand it to you. Bingo. This happened to my mother in the 70s at a now defunct bar called the Jolly Roger in Somers Point, NJ. Wow. You and your mom both had your drinks drugged at bars in NJ? Sorry to hear that. I've never been to NJ, but it sounds like women might want to avoid going to bars there. Hers was in the 1970s. Mine was in the early 1990s. To tell you the truth I think mine was a mistake. My friend and I were sharing a beer, keeping it on a covered billiards table we were both sitting on, back to back, while we talked to people. I reached behind me and grabbed the beer noticing it was much lighter than it was a few minutes before. I drank the rest and that was that. She hooked up with someone and left me and I started to feel weird not much later. I was going to go back and edit my original reply but didn't think it would matter. I don't think I was a "target" as no one was trying to pick me up and the friend that I asked to take me home wasn't hanging around with us that night, he just happened to be at the same bar. I wouldn't say it's a NJ thing. I just think it was a coincidence thing. My mom only told me her story after my Dad told her what happened to me the night before so her's could've been bullshit because she's always been in "competition" with me. Always be kinder than you feel.

  16. I was just invited to sail with a friend from Key West to Tortola in 2 weeks. I'm not sure I want to go with the person and these pictures aren't making my decision easier!! Beautiful!! Hopefully the boat you are taking... is a proper monohull... LOL.... yes. It's actually on a 90' yacht but I didn't want to brag. Always be kinder than you feel.
