O State is 8-0 against Oregon all time and they beat this style of offense when Kelly was the coach. The difference is... O State is insanely faster and more physical then they were in 2010. I'm not saying that the Buckeyes will win, I am saying that they can beat Oregon. They cannot turn the ball over. That is key. The two turnovers made the Bama game a game. OH -IO. I told you they were built to compete and beat Bama. What a great game. Hey Aggie Dave..... what was that about the SEC championship being the title game again? SEC loses four of five of the games among ranked teams. Your only saving grace was the Belk bowl. Georgia looked good against U of L. It has already started... Ohio State is going to get crushed by Oregon.. blah, blah, blah. Same crap people were saying about Bama and O State and the same crap that was said the last time O State played Oregon in the Rose Bowl. What happened that game? Against Chip Kelly and the unreal Oregon offense? Oh ya.. Bucks won by two scores. Oregon is good but they still have yet to see a fast physical defense. I personally think that Bama or O State could beat Oregon. They have the defenses to do it. Now we get to see if I am right. I think it will be a good game. Just a side note.... Ohio State ran all over the #1 run defense in CFB. They also won this game with their THIRD string QB. Do not get me wrong... Let's talk about McCain. Individually qualified? Very probably so. BUT. One of the hallmarks of a capable manager is capable personnel decisions, especially when it comes to hiring key personnel. So as you can see, sometimes sudden mid-term succession works out pretty well, while other times the result is pretty awful. Brings me back to the first part. Had McCain become president he would have been age 72 yrs 5 mos upon inauguration. Plus 4 to 8 years after that. Plus, his body has probably been prematurely aged by the ravages of incarceration and torture; Plus he was, by then, already a cancer survivor. Doesn't take an actuary to see where I'm going with this. I like the guy, and I'm glad he's still alive and ornery. Problem is, it's hard to get ready for Alabama when the Big 10 as a whole, more or less sucks. Alabama is loaded top to bottom. They're big, fast, strong and physical, with play-makers all over. You can't double up any of them because it leaves another open for a big play. And, I'll take our QB Blake Sims over anybody else when the game is on the line. A 5th year senior who worked his ass off for 4 years and finally got a chance to lead the team. We call him Cool Hand Luke. Already holds many single season records. Not bad for a former RB/all-purpose player. Then there's that 0-10 record the Buckeyes have against SEC teams in bowl games, not counting the one they used ineligible players to beat Arkansas with a few years back. The question is how in the hell does Ohio State squeak by a middling Penn State team and then blow out Wisconsin by a 59-0 margin? Surely Wisconsin is a lot better than that. Rumors are flying around, including from Wisconsin fans that the football program was paid to lay down for Ohio State to help them get in the playoffs. There's an awful lot of money on the line for the Big 10. Playoff payouts are massive. I'm probably wrong anyway, maybe Wisconsin just didn't show up, like Texas A&M getting blanked by Bama by the same score then later on knocking off Auburn on the road. You never know. But hey, better Ohio State being in the playoffs than either of the Big 12 co-champs (rolling eyes). Fuck the Big 12 and their lack of a conference championship and "One True Champion" slogan only to declare Baylor and TCU co-champs. Oh yeah, fuck Bob Stoops and the Sooners. Karma got them. It'll be interesting though. They've bounced back after the bad loss at home to a 6-6 Virginia Tech team. If the other 1-loss contenders win out, the committee's going to have a conundrum over who lost to who... If O State wins by two scores or more there should not be a discussion. They should be in. O state plays VaTech now and they destroy them. Barrett was green with a young O line. Not to mention Barrett had not even played a game since his Jr. year in High School. The loss is horrible but I think the Buckeyes will get it done. I will be at the game so either I will be celebrating huge or crying... both will be complimented by large amounts of beer! Everything that Wendy said. There have been bad openings and malfunctions where I could point to packing, maintenance, etc. Others were simply "chaos in the universe." BTW, I pull from a hard track all the time and my openings aren't noticeably harder. However, I track very flat and actually can slow down my rate of descent in a good track. Not many people at your experience level track as well as they could. So practice that and maybe get some coaching. Glad to hear you checked your altimeter in the middle of your situation. Good to stay aware of your altitude when working a problem. THIS Checking your altimeter after tracking but before pulling? IMO, that's a wasted move. Break off when it's time to go, track off watching for traffic and the ground below, and pull when you're safely clear. Spend your valuable time getting separation and watching for traffic, not reading the altimeter.

I still think O State gets in with a win against Wisconsin. It will be tough but the "third string" QB is a BEAST. We will see how he can handle the pressure. Hi Billy!
