  2. from Relative Workshop "Washing Your Vector [...] We've found that many people are unsure how to get their container clean. For that reason, we have put together the following instructions on how to make your Vector smell and look good again. The best way to wash a rig is the “good old fashion way” with slightly warm water and Woolite. Use a big tub; let the rig stay in the soapy water 4 hrs. Occasionally swish the rig around in the tub to loosen dirt. Drain soapy water, fill tub with clean water, and swish rig around until the clear water becomes soapy and cloudy. Drain tub and repeat until all soap and dirt residue are gone, usually in 3 rinses. Let the rig naturally dry, without direct sunlight. We usually allow a small fan to blow air past it to speed up the drying process. We do not recommend using a washing machine. Extended agitation in a washing machine could have negative effects in the long run. This also requires you to wrap the heavy hardware to minimize damage to the machine." The absolutely best on cloud rush is your shadow growing bigger and bigger till it's exploding at you :-) Man, I'm so happy to be allowed to jump through clouds - otherwise I wouldn't have made a third of my jumps last year... blues Marcus -- Veni, Vidi, Velcro - I came, I saw, I stuck around ;-)

    I quit!

Congrats to you, Lisa :-) What you need is not luck but motivation! Today is my 13th month as a non-smoker - and I am more than happy with that! In winter I bought a brandnew container system with the money I saved. And this year - guess - it will be a brandnew canopy! Yeeehah :-)) I gained 14 lbs. more weight in this time but feeling much more healthy and having a more efficient wingload under canopy ;-) You'll make it! If you really want. 7. Gus, get Sascha Arndt to answer this question. Sascha is the European Icarus representant in Spain. You can either mail him [email protected] or give him a call at (+34) 93 849 64 32 or cell (+34) 610 584 263 (Spain). Blues Marcus -- Veni, Vidi, Velcro - I came, I saw, I stuck around ;-)
  8. Pilotdave, unfortunately this is not my video - but I am sure they won't have anything against it. Best to fill out their feedback form. Btw, as you have german tv-reports on your great website: March 16th and 17th n-tv brings a report about Felix Baumgartner in "takeoff-tv". 10. Malachi, I haven't heard about it for some months, so the best is to either go fill out their feedback form here or try to send Christoph Aarns a mail (he works at Skydive Daedalus in Hoexter) [email protected] - he could give you first-hand info as he is the main test pilot of "Skyray". 15. The smoke cannisters are made by Comet GmbH in Germany especially for freefall. They smoke for approx. 45 seconds and should not be opened under canopy or on the ground. Their website http://www.comet-pyro.de is under construction at the moment. Their address: Comet GmbH, Vielaender Weg 147, 27574 Bremerhaven, Germany, mail [email protected]. Btw their colors are great! Blues Marcus -- Veni, Vidi, Velcro - I came, I saw, I stuck around ;-)

  17. Hi all, just for your entertainment - watch this incredible skyray flight with smoke! above Hoexter/Germany. Glide ratio 3:1 and horizontal topspeed of 140 mph! Spectators were thinking of a jet! This thing is awesome! Blues Marcus PS: Later today I will search for the adress data of the German makers if not anybody posts it before. They make canisters especially for skydivers - don't know if you use the same? -- Veni, Vidi, Velcro - I came, I saw, I stuck around ;-)

  19. 1.) Suddenly everyone wants to jump with you just because you got a camera. Don't overestimate yourself - don't take part on jumps you aren't skilled for enough. 2.) Stick to your briefings and fly predictable, especially when filming tandems or groups where others can't always see you. 3.) Ask for advice and don't go too fast - you have time. Be able to fly well before you fly with a camera. Have fun! Blues Marcus -- Veni, Vidi, Velcro - I came, I saw, I stuck around ;-)
  20. Yeah, Phreezone is definitely right with this, and actually it should get printed in bold capitals. Don't do this without a ballmaster. Blues Marcus -- Constant change is here to stay...

Unfortunately yes. But please don't forget: There have been 4 fatalities last year, 3 of them because of freefall collisions of unskilled freeflyers. Ampuriabrava is a huge and crowded dropzone. So I think it's okay to do an evaluation dive dedicated to safety. And who says it's no fun going on a freefly with Babylon ;-)? Blues Marcus -- Constant change is here to stay...

    XERROX

Skydive Monkey, who makes the Xerox? -- Be careful of your thoughts, they may become words at any moment.

    XERROX

Oops - I just see it's the TSE Zerox, not Xerox... I don't know anything of a rig called Xerox... does anyone? As it's pronounced the same perhaps you just spelled it wrong? Blues Marcus -- Be careful of your thoughts, they may become words at any moment.

    XERROX

batched, the Xerox is manufactured by TSE Thomas Sports Equipment in the UK and South Africa. Actually it's a Vector-clone; it's velcro-free and stainless steel hardware is standard. Visit TSE's website at http://www.thomas-sports.com or http://www.thomas-sports.com/shop/index.html or mail Sally [email protected] If you want to know my opinion: I don't like it, it's kinda old-fashioned. And the ones I have seen were not freefly-friendly at all. There are better h/c systems on the market. TSE's bestseller e.g. is the Teardrop SF and Classic. The SF is greatest workmanship meanwhile. Btw, TSE has the greatest delivery times at all: For my last custom made teardrop I waited three weeks (!!!) from faxing my order in till holding it in my hands. They have awesome customer service and do anything they can to satisfy you. Blues Marcus -- Be careful of your thoughts, they may become words at any moment.
