I have wanted to see a launch for a long time and really didn't feel like a floridian since I have never seen a launch having lived here long before the shuttle program. So I drove down Apr 4 for the Apr 5 launch, 6:22 am launch. I stayed at comfort inn across from deland airport. and jumped some sunday afternoon. Got up at 3:00 am monday and drove down to Titisville arriving about 4:45 am and traffic was bad. I went out on the causeway to merritt island. Very crowded when I got there. Probably 85 % of parking spaces taken. A lot of people were there in RV's and got there the day before. By parking spaces I mean any place you could find along the road. There are some regular parking areas such as parks but those were already full by time I got there. The drive from deland isn't bad. 45 min. Mostly interstate. Went to space coast to jump after launch and they told me there might be a slot I could get on but no guarantee. Said I should have come during the weekend when they run a plane for fun jumpers. Anyway I decided not to wait and drove back to deland and jumped the rest of monday.

I deal with boatlift remotes. Sometimes the receiver boards inside the unit go bad. I don't know if it is a replaceable part on your unit. If three controls all quit at the same time I would think that something in the motor unit is broken.

How? Because the FAA checks records. Medical records and Police records(DUI). I don't know the answer to this: Does the FAA require people to sign HIPAA waivers (which authorizes someone to access another person's medical records)? Similarly, is it common for commercial air carriers to get their employees to sign HIPAA waivers? I'd think that would probably be required in order for the FAA and/or an employer to access a pilot's or other aviation industry employee's medical records. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>. Our country could never become a real police state. Our congressional representatives and senators would never let that happen because they would protect "the people". But then, if they thought it was for our own good . . . . . . . .

I made the trip to see the launch. I've been trying to get down there since I heard about ending the program, and everything finally came together. Very nice to see live. I was on the merritt island causeway which is about 12 miles away. Did you see the space station pass overhead about 15 minutes before launch? Same direction as the shuttle course. Very cool. NASA= not about space anymore. I'm sure all the exemployees will be put to work as community organizers.

You wil get adapted to Florida heat in about 20 years. This winter was probably the coldest I've seen since 1963 when I moved here.
