  1. wait a minute you, Rosita, work at the tunnel? since when? doing what? I feel soo under-informed! lol
  2. I will definitely come and check them out, after all I have heard, it sounds like a must-see show in town. Keep me posted on the hours! Also, do you guys have video on you tube? —Benji
  3. I am very sorry to hear about that, that sucks, so young, it always seemed to me that he was definitely having a blast on this earth, I am sure he still is where ever that might be. To be taken away like this is so random. All my best to his tight team of friends at Elsinore and to his family. Blues skies young man.
  4. I flew last night in the new iFly tunnel. The construction is spectacular, it's built of huge solid pieces of plexiglass. The tunnel was running at 85% and was way enough for any head down or sit action you might want. The net is at the city walk ground level, the tube is 360° clear, open view on all sides onto the people, citywalk and hard-rock cafe across the street.. let me see.. it feels like you are flying in one of the alien props from "The Abyss", total clarity with thousands of lights and flashy neons reflections reflecting onto the next surface.. try front flips inside a giant jellyfish. It's obviously not a huge tunnel and the shape is a little unusual, so don't think of taking your 8-way team there, but to kick back with a friends, have a blast and show off in from of a crowd of stunned pedestrians.. it can't get better. The staff is great and you most lightly you run into the Elsinore/Perris crowd. ... and its 7 miles from my house!
  5. To say that the skydiving community will forever miss you is an understatement. Special kind vibes to Diana, the Evo kids, Skydive San Diego, Blondie and your closest. Best to you on the endless swoop. — Benji
  6. I'm glad they switched to a glossy in line varnish from the dull one that felt all sandy and desaturated the colors, at first I disliked it, now I feel it's an improvement over the "old" parachutist, the logo is still.. mmm.. never mind, it's all better and feels 'swanky-er' than before. Saddle stich is cheezy, they just need to work the kinks on the perfect bound process. ... Good changes.
  7. The openings are superb, soft, slow motion like, swoop power is huge for a non cross-braced. Feels much better in the 1.7 to 1.9 wing loadings. It opens better than any other, it swoops, it dives, quick, The best all around canopy in my opinion.
  8. My 98 X-27 fits fine in the Mirage G4 MT (also fits a non-crossbraced 120)
  9. Hey there, I just landed on this post... 2 years after the fact. lol in anycase, I appreciate the compliments! and now that it's that old, maybe you guys should tell SAZ that they should update the site, and the SkyVenture AZ one too.. best, B.
  10. Whatever it was, I can't have been worth that, we will miss you. Peace out my friend. —Benji
  11. Deepest condolences goes out to the families and the friends.

    Skydive Hawaii

Gorgeous scenery... other than that, skydivers are not so easy to find, this business is really mostly for tandems. Also, the vibe is kinda messed up due to the fact that this place has a ridiculous vendetta thing going on with the other place across the lawn. The Caravan has a familiar size door, and has to be the most awful paint job ever.
  13. Breath taking scenery. Hawaii, Ocean, King Air, fast climb to 14k on every load. Great island and cloud views, rainforest looking jungle on the mountains, beaches and the pacific. I'm going back asap.
  14. Also, Cinco de Mayo Boogie at Skydive San Diego... an hour away from your house.
  15. I agree. Also, the current design of the landing areas has NEVER been ideal, but it is safe when it's experienced people, locals that are flying in that area. I saw it become sketchy a few times with military and visitors. And once I was literally inches from a mid air collision due to a funky pattern provided courtesy of some military dude attempting to land on the alternate, yes I was in the the middle of a 270, that was just over a year ago. I strongly believe that separated landing areas IS THE ONLY solution to hi-po pilots running into unpredictable slower people. The problem is that solution is expensive and that SAD is a business like all DZs.
  16. exerpts of a conversation i'm having: I respect Brian's knowledge, but... they need to separate, 4 landing areas, Military should NEVER be close to the rest, then regular 90 and straight in, then students, and a hi-po landing area. Elsinore is pretty good like that. Elsinore has the room... so does SAZ... not sure why they haven't done that already. The military is a real pain in the ass the should be more segregated, not much training... no attention to obstacles and bad landing patterns or non-existant landing patterns and huge f%^&*g canopies that just hang there like anti-aircraft blimps. The students need to be safe, and the regulars need to know, that if they go into the hi-po area, they might catch a cold!
  17. loved it, great photography and finish, funny narration, overall a very entertaining couple of hours, gorgeous women w/perky nipples available and a bunch of chipendales for the ladies all mixed in a huge blood bath. I love the leg cramp in the kneeling scene.
  18. there is a world out there? send me a card and tell me all about it.
  19. it was good to see u. You'll have to explain the rock thing in relation with walking on water... do i sink?
  20. Hey buddy!, don't you dis my Pinkie! I actually got it out of an old airspeed rig I bought in AZ, I called PD about the weird choce in color apparently they gave them some Pepto colored PD-R in that year. I had never even looked at the color of the reserve when I got the rig, I had my rigger switch reserves and until the day I had my first cutaway on this reserve I had no idea what color it was, I guess I assumed it was white. That reserve ride was at the burning canopy demo thing during the world cup opening in Eloy, I believe my first words were: PINK?!?! you gatta to be shitting me! [in an older flytrybe video]. Pinkie is due to be replace by an Optimum on the next repack cycle, not cause of the color, but just the idea of more real estate sounds good in those times.
  21. Hey, that's my name! Am I so famous?! Wow.... ...depends, are you the Jose that can run on water?
