What do you do to get your adrenaline fix in the winter? Last winter I traveled a lot and got to jump in warm places so it didnt really effect me but this year I am starting to freak out already. We've all been at the DZ on a rainy or cloudy day and know what happens when we get bored and don't jump, it can be a very dangerous situation. I've been on both sides of the fence. Part of the problem is probably ignorance. If they are in college than they have most likely never had to deal with close proximty neighbors before and might not even realize what they are doing. I know when I was in college my second apartment was on the second floor and I ALWAYS had to remind my friends to walk quieter and not to stomp. I know it sounds stupid but until you're underneath someone or on the other side of the wall a lot of people don't ever realize how loud they walk or play their music. Just last week one of my friends woke up another friends wife when we were packing in his loft because he didn't understand how loud he was thumping around. That being said have you tried talking to them? Getting the police or management involved might just piss them off and not fix the solution if they don't understand it first. If they're already driving you crazy now you really don't want to make them beligerant. Ever read the books? I agree. While this movie is certainly not like any of the other Bond movies it's actually a far more accurate picture of the "real" Bond stories....at least according to the books. The books seem to always pick up in the middle of a story and then end with something else going on or things left unfinished that sets up the next one. Exiting at 400 is way safer because you are starting with a speed of 0 so you would still have time for a delay. If you exited at 1000 speed up to terminal then deployed at 400 ft you are leaving absolutely no margin for error because you are only a couple seconds awayfrom impact I just think that's retarded. If you get out of the plane at a 1000ft you will have around 10 seconds before impact. Getting out at 400ft it would be less then 5 seconds. Please explain again how you will have more time from 400ft. and how it would be more safer? It takes around 1000ft to become terminal so the opening would not be a terminal opening from 1000ft. Good line of thought but it doesnt take a few more factors into account. Staying flat for one. When you exit the plane there are a few seconds where you are not flat because you still have a lot of forward speed from the aircraft. We call this riding the hill. The other issue would be air pressure. Anytime you have air moving at a fast rate past an area that is enclosed on all sides except the one side that's open it's going to cause a change in pressure depending on the airspeed.
