thanks everyone for the help... After reading Zee's post and looking at the Pentax Optio T20/ A30 and the Samsung NV11 as long as they can take a bite switch I prob will go in that direction. Does anyone know for sure if these cameras are compatible with a bite switch? (i really want to try to avoid opening up the body) Thanks everyone for the help! Is it saturday yet?

ok i have spend a few mins looking for an answer to this question and came up with pretty much nothing... I'm looking to add a still to my RAWA setup but really dont want to spend a sh*t ton of money (ya i know just like everyone else) I have a few digital cameras, point and shoot ones... is there any way I can hook one of them up with a bite switch or something like that? I'm not looking to get alot or pics per sec. i would be happy with 5-7 pics a jump maybe less? is this possible? if not... what is the cheapest camera that can support a hands free (bite switch) "trigger" Thanks Jeff Is it saturday yet?

So I made 2 more jump on my GTI and they went great!!! great openings, exit, and I could see myself covering some ground!! it kind of takes a little getting used to the fact that your altimeterdoes not move as fast as it does when you are free flying, not a bad thing at all... I have a "back-up" log book on an excel spead sheet its a great program, I have total feet skydived total time in free fall all automatically the only bad part is that I now get lazy doing my "real" logbook anywho Jeff Is it saturday yet?

I have played D1 football and have some good friends in the NFL. To these athletes that play these sports all they have is the sport, the rush, of playing in front on millions on people, its also how they feed their family. Most (more or less a semi-educated guess) of these athletes do not have a (full) college education. So they look at playing with an injury as I have to make the money while I can and while I'm on top of my game. As said before, they have some of the best Docs in the world helping them heal in-between games. Should you jump with a messed up MCL... nice easy landings and nothing that would be pushing it... The biggest thing I remember during my AFF experience was the feeling after landing my first jump. I WILL NEVER FORGET IT! that first jump is something that no matter what my mood is all I have to do is think about it and a smile comes on my face! relax and have fun because you will remember that first jump for a while! So my parents got me a camera that I can fly with for xmas, I just have a quick question. I would not be flying the cam for million dollar shots or to shot anyone/formation, I just want to be able to after the day is over to go back to my house and be like "ya i remember that, that was sweet!" or just have something that I can show my friends that dont jump. The problem is that I'm still pretty new, is there anything that I should be on the look out when jumping with a camera any help would be great Is it saturday yet?

I think my problem is where I took AFF and where I jump now. I learned at the DZ with an otter and now my home DZ is a cessna, So i think I was a little spoiled learning at a big place where they have loads of otters right after one an other. Also my whole load was bumped bc of a tandem with video not just the last person manifested Dont get me wrong, my home DZ is great, nice ppl. I just have to get used to jumping the cessna with 4 jumpers vs. the otter with 15+ just wondering what others thought about getting bumped Is it saturday yet?

Well I had another first this past weekend and I absolutely refuses to buy beer for this one, This was my first time being bumped off a load. I was bumped to make room for a tandem, I understand that tandem and students are the real money makers for owners but it leaves a bad taste in my mouth and I'm a regular at the DZ and over time drop much more $$ then any tandem? So why not take care of the regulars, that wait their turn. I prob. would not have been so aggravated but I was waiting about 2 hours for a jump, and it kinda just rubbed me the wrong way, Like a said before, I'm still pretty new, and if this is normal for the industry then I guess I better be used to it Sorry about the venting, I just wanted to know what others though about getting bumped Jeff Is it saturday yet?

Its just awesome having all your own stuff come home from work and look at my rig and Im like ya buddy only 3 more days till jump time then Im like oh man 3 more days till jump time... If anyone was wondering I just got/bought a javelin j-3 with a Fury 200 (7 cell) its freaken sweeeet. I dont really notice a big difference between the 7 and 9 cells but to each his own. I bought my first rig a few weeks ago and finally got to put some jumps on it this weekend! Boy is it different looking up and seeing MY canopy, and not having to give it back after the jump! It's an awesome feeling, coming home and seeing my rig sitting there and thinking to myself "ya, thats mine!" Just though I would share my story with you guys! can't wait till the weekend Jeff Is it saturday yet?
