  1. Personally I find people who buy a large suit to learn in are doing themselves a disservice as I believe you learn faster on a smaller suit. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  2. I don't think the majority of my college professors could teach ... just saying. That's because they only spent about 3 weeks learning how to teach. Less if you went to a big name research university. I don't know how much time they spent learning how to teach (and I'm not saying all professors are the same) ... just saying that there are plenty of people in positions to teach that can't. 3. I don't think the majority of my college professors could teach ... just saying. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  4. This thread reminds me of placing a handful of Mentos up your backside before getting a Coca-Cola enema. Not fun and s**t everywhere ... "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  5. I wanted to discuss the dangers of large suits in fast (vertical) flocks. A recent poster mentioned being balled up doing ~45 then opening up and doing ~-20. This could be a dangerous thing (similar to corking while freeflying). Things to think about ... "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  6. I am looking for tips, tricks, and things to be aware of for both the CP and WS while doing XRW. PS: I've already read this XRW article. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  7. I believe in the past 9ft. was determined to be the "best" for risk vs. reward (and probably still is for most situations). However, times (and situations) have changed and it is possible that the "best" may have changed with it ... "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  8. Just highlighting an important piece of information ... "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  9. An application for avigation and performance feedback is being worked on (for Android) ... "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  10. ... when this occurs? "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  11. What do you plan to do? If acrobatics and docking, Shadow. If flocking and performance, Phantom. PS: Order soon, the lead time is long ... "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  12. Did you notice the velocity at impact? I doubt it will be common any time soon. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  13. I enjoyed seeing the flair from the video shot of it from the side. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch

  15. Have you looked at this thread? "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  16. Should it matter what went on beforehand when the cops continue after the individual has been subdued? "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  17. ... stop protecting each other and start cleaning house because the more this, this, this, etc... happen the less people trust them. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  18. They've continued to whine and threaten like little kids for a while ... "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  19. Very cool! PS: I wonder when Purple Mike will petition for a performance rodeo category? "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  20. Not at my dropzone. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  21. No. You will generate the experience faster in a beginner suit than an intermediate (or advanced) suit and it will be safer for you and everyone else. Not to mention that you won't regret having a Phantom 3 even when you have have more experience ... "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  22. Constructive dialogue ... if you don't know how to reach the BOC you shouldn't be jumping an advanced wingsuit. Or is it only constructive dialogue if it's what you want to hear? "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  23. Thanks for sticking to the www.dropzone.com stereotype of a mad skills with basic knowledge question ... "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  24. First, I can't believe you're flying a V2 without knowing how to reach for the BOC. Second, yes, you go over the gripper ... PS: I know someone that was flying a V3 and was trying to reach for the BOC by going under the wing instead of over the gripper. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  25. A few adjustments and I was able to hear it in freefall. I'm going to start testing the altitude accuracy to determine if I can use it to make the avigation more intuitive. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
