  1. These men were wearing body armor and continued their assault while being shot. This man wasn't wearing body armor and continued his assault after being shot without focusing on the threat. I agree, a gun does give you a choice. I disagree that the majority of individuals claiming they could hit a small moving target in a dark, crowded theater filled with tear gas could actually do it. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  2. Watch this situation to understand that conceal and carry can work but isn't likely to work in the previous situation. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  3. It makes me question conceal and carry if people believe those are their only options. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  4. And if after the first individual opens fire another individual begins to open fire behind you will you be able to decide whether that person is with the first person? "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  5. The paintball gun is not loaded with tear gas, the theater is. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  6. I didn't ask if you should, I asked if you could ... "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  7. Correct. Hence the reason I stated dark ... "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  8. ... if you had a paintball gun that you could shoot another individual in the face while they move around shooting their paintball gun into a dark, crowded theater filled with tear gas without hitting anyone else in the crowd? "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  9. Just sew wings onto footed pajamas along with a backpack, helmet, and goggles. Next question ... "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  10. An individual who has been made skillful or wise through experience. Next question ... my close friend's daughter is older than he is. Is it inappropriate for me to date her? No. Next question ... "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch

  12. Do the Dutch make good ovens? No. Next question ... "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  13. Fly-bys should be amongst experienced individuals with prior planning regarding safety (of both the parties involved and others). Next question ... "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  14. From reading other replies, the problem isn't your talking, it's your listening. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  15. Experienced wingsuiters would be able to teach a FFC using the manual but a rating allows skydivers to know that the wingsuiter has passed a course testing their ability to teach (and fly) a FFC. Why not have both? This allows skydivers to decide if a USPA rated WSI is important to them and their FFC ... The same way you can't teach AFF on a USPA member dropzone while not being a USPA AFF rated instructor. Or can you? Would USPA be okay with it? Questions I don't have answers for. 16. I figure he's either ignorant or a troll. If it's ignorance, he doesn't appear to care so neither do I. If it's trolling, I try not to feed trolls. Just saying ... "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch

  18. It appears that no one is discussing the third option. The USPA continuing with the current BSRs and creating an optional WSI course, rating, and corresponding FFC. This will allow experienced wingsuiters to get UPSA rated and teach USPA FFCs, skydivers to choose to take a USPA FFC, and everyone else to continue as is ... If incidents increase, the WSI course, rating, and corresponding FFC can become mandatory. If the majority of skydivers choose to take USPA FFCs then more experienced wingsuiters will get USPA rated and teach USPA FFCs. If incidents don't increase and skydivers don't choose to take USPA FFCs then everything will continue as is ... Thoughts? "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  19. No. Next question ... Do you have any sense of humor, left? No. Next question ... "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  20. No. Next question ... "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  21. I'm not arguing, you are. Your previous response served no purpose other than to argue that my description of pulling in full flight was incorrect according to your opinion of full flight ... ... and now you're playing the it's not me, it's you game. Childish. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  22. There aren't a lot of other people to hang out with around here. Either don't have the person with the big/fast forward suit fly base or have them fly as fast as the smallest/slowest forward suit. In other words, at least one person should be flying almost all out. Agreed, it works better with appropriate suits/weights/skills. Although making people work or get left behind can help improve skills. Is doing it with others fun? Yes. Is doing it alone fun? Yes. If you're not having fun doing it alone, you're doing it wrong ... "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  23. ... for flying with people who appear to be arched with knees bent and hanging on their arm wings. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  24. Well, that is the point of my observation. If I were to be the authority on definitions, it would be wings open, unstalled, unflaired, steady state gliding flight. Rather like we fly in a flock. Please do me a favor, if you're going to argue semantics then provide your definition in your response in the future to save time ... I think unstalled and unflaired are objective but wings open is subjective. After all, you could have the wings open and swept back, be arched, etc... PS: I consider full flight to be the flight that achieves the best steady state performance for the individual. Yes, this means that my description of pulling in full flight would not actually be in full flight ... "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  25. After a flair when the additional horizontal speed has bled off but before stalling. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
