Than you should know that speed on jump run is important. Is _does_ matter if it's 120 knots or 105 knots. You can still get better results if you communicate with the pilot. I know that speed on jump run along with communicating with the pilot (about speed, planned flight, etc...) is very important. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch

I regularly exit a PAC750. The tail is both low and close to the door. If you exit with wings open or jumping up you're probably going to hit the tail ... "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  3. You do realize that there are plenty of fast forward speed and slow downward flocks across the US. The ones you fly in regularly might become one of those flocks if you started giving better advice than "If you don't want to be low, don't go there" ... "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  4. Wasted. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  5. Some pitch in the 4.5 range, some in the 3.5 range, and some at 2. When you pitch at 2 there isn't a lot of time to think or to "try" stuff ... "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  6. Is pulling low not enough for you anymore? Well then, try low flights!
  7. Big suits have increased the performance range possible but they have not accelerated the learning curve of the sport ... "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  8. Two thumbs up! "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  9. There are wingsuiters who have tried to create threads about technique, progression, and safety. Respect goes both ways and what is wrong with judging a person on the suit they use in regards to their skill? Canopy pilots do it. Who do you consider to be good and or bad role models in wingsuiting? The split in the community is partially due to the split in role models ... There are wingsuiters who spend hundreds (or thousands) of jumps practicing to hone their technique and still don't claim proficiency. There are canopy pilots who spend dozens jumps practicing on one canopy before claiming proficiency ... just look at all the incidents. So? I wingsuit because I love it, not because I want to win huge cash prizes. So? I don't go to the bar. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  10. Now that looked liked some fun dives! Keep it up ... PS: Nice backflying Mike. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  11. You'll fly so much better after a breakfast of Unicorn meat than a donut! "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  12. I disagree. Did we not already have plans to get out of Iraq? Did we not increase our military involvement in the middle east (Afghanistan, Libya, etc...)? "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  13. You found it interesting. Are you serious? "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  14. 1] Collect Underpants 2] ? 3] Profit "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  15. I would consider the Prodigy, Phantom, Intro, and T-Bird to be small suits. Everything else ... is not small. There is no such thing as a "no skill needed" suit. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  16. I do indeed have a very early P2Z. And I don't believe I've looked very closely at a newer P2Z. Does the cutaway go back to the old style of wing-body attachment on the newer ones? The newer P2Z has the cut-away along the wing but has the cut-away handle located near the hand instead of near the body. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  17. I think you mean the early P2Z as the P2 and the later P2Z must be pulled all the way out (and from a particular angle). "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  18. Is it right for a woman to go on a date just to get a free dinner? PS: Someone needs to tell her that there is nothing traditional about using online dating, spreadsheets, and expecting men to entertain and feed her ... "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  19. Couldn't this be minimized by shortening the distance between exit and competition window? Do you agree with what I posted earlier? That each area gives an advantage to a different build ... the advantage for distance is height and suit, the advantage for speed is weight and suit, and the advantage for time is the ratio of weight to height and suit. Of course these can be manipulated by specific build, suit, and skill along with distance from exit to competition window, distance of competition window, ability to add weight, etc... PS: If you maintain a large enough distance between exit and competition window and a large enough competition window then adding weight should favor those that have the skills and strength to use the weight to their advantage ... which would be interesting. 20. Now I really wish I could go! "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  21. Don't forget height. And BMI Distance: Height and Suit Time: Weight to Height Ratio and Suit Speed: Weight and Suit "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  22. Good discussion points though out post. Don't forget height. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  23. Agree. . Hell just froze over. Why, this isn't the first time I've agreed with you. Hell will freeze over when I post something and you make a post agreeing with it ... "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  24. chest strap, 5 go-pro's , bent knees Yes, yes, and yes. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  25. Agree. There are plenty of sources of drag that could be eliminated or minimized: helmets, cameras, mudflap mounted altimeters, etc... "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
