Mike The best is to get in touch with the various manufactures and see about the demo program they run, and after advise from your Instructors on the best size. Get some demo sent out and fly them, do a few jumps on each. We have a great demo program and your more than welcome to contact us for a canopy. Jill Not sure where you'll be in SA, but if you go to www.para.co.za you'll get a good listing of DZ in SA. We have three turbine DZ in SA, flying either a Porter, King Air or PAC 750, the rest are all cessna DZ's But fun non the less. I started using them when I was in NorCal doing tandems, they worked great with my contacts, all I did was remove the nose cradle on them, and I got a nice tight seal, when I attached them to some Chums. I even attached my Pro Track to the Chums, and it was great. Went the whole day like that, they do tend to sometimes fog up when it gets hot, just before you exit. See oic attached.

----------------------------- We all (Aerodyne, PD, Icarus, Sunpath etc etc) sell good, safe, quality gear and it would be foolish for any Sale Rep to think that there might not be a world of difference, in the opinion of one person to another about likes, and dislikes of gear. I have been jumping Aerodyne for just over 3yrs now, long before i worked for them ... and this is what makes me know that Aerodyne has some of the best gear available on the market, and at a good price, who could dispute that (ok I know many might) Hope you have a sunny, fun, safe day

Only comment... They had a serial number plate that - all the silk screen ink - and serial number writing - wore off in 200 jumps. Never wet. So, when I sell my canopy - the buyer will have to believe me on what it is, because everything (size, serial number, make, model, warning messages) is all just blank now on an orange plate... I told the Aerodyne rep at a boogie and I got a laugh, "so what"... Also, a few e-mails to Aerodyne corporate were never returned, when PD responded the same hour on the same question... -------------------------------------------- We are aware of the issue with the writting fading on our lables and have been looking into ways to make it more durable. I hope it was not me that you chatted to at the "boogie" who gave you the "so what" reply

Doug There is alot of good equipment made not only in North America but also around the world, and some of these companies have been around for 20yrs or so. And thus the reputation is strong within the skydiving community. Aerodyne has and still makes excellent quality, affordable gear. Yes we dont have a bunch of sponsored teams, to give us the exposure that many of our competitors have, but then nor does our consumer pay for that privilege in higher costs. I'm glad you like our gear and I would encourage you to demo PD, Icarus, Sunpath, Sunrise Products etc. It will give you a much more educated opinion on gear that is available.
