  1. The Fusion is closer to a Sabre2 than a Stiletto. The Nitron is the Stiletto class canopy made by Precision. Mike
  2. Unfortunately, no. I have to go back to work on the 15th, so I'll be out of town for the entire time for the 140 ways...this damn work thing interferes too much with my fun.. Mike
  3. Actually, I meant Easter weekend. I go to work tomorrow, and don't get back home until next Wed night.....so the 8th-11th is when I'm thinking of being there....though, so far, not quite the showing I expected.. Mike
  4. Who's gonna be there? I get off work on Wed night(very late, as usual) and am planning on loading up the RV and heading over to ZHills on Thurs...maybe Fri morning....but now I see a bunch of people are gonna be up at CSS...and debating...90 minute drive...or 10 hour drive...? So who's gonna be at ZHills? Mike
  5. Just the goober in the pic with her... Mike
  6. I had a pair of those once....too big, and not wraparound.....I didn't like 'em. I like the wraparound style, ESPECIALLY for skydiving. Aviators may be OK if you're belly flying, but for freeflying, the tight fitting wraparounds work best, IMO. Mike
  7. I've got a pic for your avatar here....the first one(brdbytch3)....or...if you want the pic with confirmed docking...the second one(brdbytch2)... Mike
  8. I'll have to look for you guys next time I'm at ZHillls....which will probably be for the second weekend of the Easter Boogie. Mike
  9. I buy good sunglasses(have a pair of Oakleys right now) for general use....because I've found that if I buy cheap sunglasses, I lose them or break them pretty damn quickly....but if I buy good sunglasses(I bought my current pair almost a year ago), I tend to keep track of 'em better. When I buy good sunglasses, I generally keep 'em until they're totally worn out(usually it's the lenses scratched to hell). I buy cheap sunglasses(though they HAVE TO BE 100% UVA/UVB) for skydiving....I've never LOST a pair skydiving, but I have had people break them when I lay them down next to my helmet while packing. Mike
  10. Sorry to hear about your mom...you've got my work cell number if you need to talk.. Mike
  11. Been there, done that....naked off landings suck....especially since I was the only one of 10 to land off(I was the only one to take it down to 2k, also...I've learned better since then).. I got a ride back(wrapped in my canopy) from a couple of teenage girls. I was really worried about what would happen if a cop pulled us over...and I was naked(with only a canopy around me) in a car with two 16 year old girls... Mike
  12. YOU SUCK! I'm using a 15"TFT laptop....but just ordered the parts to build myself a kickass new system. I haven't ordered the monitor yet, but I am looking at a 21". I can't justify the cost for anything larger.. Mike
  13. Dude...there's only ONE type of uniform a woman should be in...and that's a French Maids uniform.. Mike
  14. Try to put your rig in the balloon BEFORE everybody gets in. Then you can put your rig on once you get airborne. Nobody in the other one will know. Make sure you have a way to signal them(tell them you need them all to look over at a certain time - like when you sound an air horn - so you can take a picture). Then, when they're watching, "fall" out. They'll freak out for about 20 seconds until you pull....then they'll be laughing their asses off, or they'll want to kill you.. Mike
  15. I be in Houston tomorrow...for about an hour... Mike
  16. Jeez....that's a scary thought....both of you TM's.... well, I guess if you're both TM's, you'll be busy enough that there won't be anybody to fire the cannon at people under canopy.. What kind of rigs....Strong?(doesn't look head low enough to be Vector) Mike
  17. Nice job dude. You can definitely tell that's not Eloy....there's WAAAY too much green grass there! It's one of those places that people dress funny and chase a ball around with a stick...and sometimes chase skydivers around that land in their field of play.. Mike
  18. This topic pops up now and then....and the answers are always the same....and there are always those people that say "if I think the plane is going down, I'll FIND a way to get out". Not gonna happen. Breakup in flight? You won't have time to put your rig on. Explosion? If the airplane is out of control afterwards, you won't be able to get your rig on. Just not gonna happen, folks. You try to open the door in flight on any airliner that I am on, and you're gonna have a size 11 boot cracking your skull wide open. If I can get to you as you are near the door, the aircraft is in control - and trying to open a door(even though you wouldn't be able to) would just cause more problems(such as panicking pax). Mike
  19. Dammit! How 'bout just general, pointless shooting in that direction? Just knock out their power and generators for a few weeks if nothing else... Mike
  20. Holy shit....I think I woke up the neighbors I was laughing so hard.. Mike
  21. I do some skeet/trap on occasion, but never got into it too heavily. It's fun, but I just prefer handgun or long range rifle competitions. I shot rifle comps for about 5 years up until '96...and IPSC for 3 years 'til '99... but nothing since then. I've been seriously considering getting back into IPSC or IDPA lately.. Mike
  22. You did a FF tunnelcamp? With which group? I'm considering one...but, unfortunately, Alchemy is running camps when I'm stuck working...and can't take the time off because I have to save that vacation time for WFFC.. I also considered the Anomoly Insomnia camp...might be able to swing that one, but won't know until I talk to the boss in a couple days.. Mike
  23. HEY NOW! That's not right...throwing my advice back in my face! Mike
  24. Great to hear! Hope it all works out for ya and you get to move back to the most awesome state in the country......When you make it down to Tampa, I'll hook you up with a CReW instructor at ZHills if you want...and you can get a demo Lightning from PD or borrow a canopy from one of the CReWDogs out there... What size canopy do you jump now? The "appropriate" CRW canopy for you would be a Lightning 126 based on your weight...but might be a bit small if you're not used to jumping canopies that small. Mike
  25. BTW, I ordered a camera suit a couple weeks ago, and went to pick it up today....and I made sure to order from a local company, so they could do the measurements and I could see the colors in person.. Mike
