Wow, I am glad everything turned out ok. Thanks for posting. I am a new jumper - medically trained - but have not thought extensively about the effects of dehydration, heat and altitude. You think about those issues when you scuba dive....now I will think about those issues when I jump. Got my rig today and it is beautiful!!!! Of course still can't use it but that will come in time. Sounds like you had a great time. I ended up just goint up to get the wind in my hair this weekend. We didn't work on any new AFF skills because our normal plane was down and we were only able to get to 9000ft...so just got out and played and relaxed. It was really nice. Looking forward to getting a long further. When diving in Utila Honduras, I had more experience than 90% of the dive masters there. As for which is more dangerous of the two I agree scuba is more dangerous.....get a rush from both of them. Going to Cozumel in feb. for Carnivale!!! Its a kick. I jump and I scuba...not together. I have been scuba diving for 4 years and learning to jump this year....In AFF right now and loving it!!!! So now, I have 2 expensive hobbies, but life is short so I might as well spend it now! Alot of times the friendship does work.....my ex is a friend of mine...like him better now that we are divorced. Went with him when he picked out the engagement ring for his wife.
