I wasn't talking about swooping Gabor, where do you see that in my question? I was just wondering if there was a possible trade off between flight characterstics and opening characteristics. For example, 9 cells are generally more responsive then your average 7 cell, excluding exceptions like the diablo. But they give up a bit of opening consistancy compared to an average 7 cell.

I wonder what the trade off is... In my mind if it flies like a 9 cell, it may display less of the more desirable 7 cell flight and opening characteristics? Did they reinvent the diablo?? "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

The problem is that the reserve is overloaded and too small. The problem is that even if you can shoe horn the main in there is is oversized and will stress out the flaps, stiffiners, etc. And the final problem is that the rig cost to bloody much! Totally untrue. If you have a decent bike that can go through some shit then you can usually go places a cop car could never get to. And for cops who think they can outrun me on a bicycle.... Bullshit. If he was a good guy, and you have "repeatedly" talked to him then he would have changed his ways. Either you haven't told him the right way, or he is just a dangerous asshole. It is allways a good idea to turn 90' degrees from jump run after opening, do this if you see people or if you do not. It is never a good idea to be flying up or down the line of flight under canopy, good for you for realizing this on your own at 12 jumps.

If you read the search results for the searches that you claim to have made then you should realize that there is no real anwser to this question. The topic is highly oppinionated and very subjective. I won't jump Vigils because I think that they way they have handled previous problems just plain sucks. No AAD out there is perfect, and they all have misfires and other problems. I just think the Cypres has better over all quality control, it has more time under its belt, and most importantly to me I think the company the makes it back it up better. I agree with you Billvon, I think we only differ on the use of the word briefing. I was not talking about the 5 minute speach that I have heard before that is mainly made up of "do some practice flares up high". Maybe I should have said lesson, or coaching session instead.
