  2. Paralog with...a Garmin Fortrex?? Is there a manual/guide that shows how this is done?? Thanks! - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  3. Does anyone know what hardware and software and methods were used to produce this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3EGVubTBAGE&mode=related&search= - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  4. Holy Crap...that was a very close call! ...how/why did he end up going the opposite way?? That was an f-ning fast closing speed. Inches or split seconds away from an "incident" thread. Oh yeah Clicky - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  5. That is awesome... - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  6. You should look at the new VSE (Infinity) risers more closely. The oversight you describe would take a blind and careless owner on the VSE risers. This is much easier to do on the stock risers on my Jav. The housing entrance on the VSE riser is exposed and not hidden in the cloth. - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  7. I definitely recommend the hard housings in your risers...personally...I like Infinity's risers. I now have them on my Jav. And I'm sure a 135 spectre could spin up plenty hard given the right line over type situation. - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  8. Nice Video: What kind of suit is the blue and black one? - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  9. I'm sure it does. I'll know that for sure very SOON!!! My Prodigy is on its way! - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  10. JT- You have to post a screen grab of the mal and the reserve bridle hitting your hand, that was wicked footage to watch. Congrats on a successful chop! That lineover/stepthrough was nasty looking!!!! I know that hard pull feeling too! Hard housings are mandatory for me now. - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  11. Nice Bump! Mesquite Does Rock!! BTW-What is you're experience with going up there on Nascar weekend...does the traffic on I-15 kill the weekend? - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  12. A good track definitely feels like flying! - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  13. Glide Ratio: 1 to 1 is readily attainable via a good track....3 to 1 in a wing suit. - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  14. This is a nice small DZ. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. Bill, the DZO, is super friendly as were the locals. It definitely has a bit of local flare which adds to the fun of visiting the DZ. I'll be back when I come back to Shreveport for a visit.
  15. Touche' BTW-Do you really load your Pilot 168 at 2.23? - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  16. And I don't see any reason not to psychopack it. Or...I don't see any reason to S-Fold pack any canopy. - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  17. I only demo'd each except the Tri: Pilot= 8 Spectre= 8 Safire2= 5 (so far; I still have it for one more weekend) Triathlon=68 - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  18. http://www.precision.aero/packing/mvc-002v.mpg I don't know if this one is better, as I have not seen the skydivingmovies one but it gets the point across. Also see this page: http://www.precision.aero/packing.htm Yes the pilot does opens slowly and psycho/precision packing does slow it down a wee bit more. Except for the slightly slower opening...the openings are the same as S-Folding. - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  19. So how did you like the Safire2? I thought the Safire2 was similar to the Pilot. They both have baby soft openings, but the pilot's reaction to toggle input seemed better (snappier). The safire seemed to need a bit more input for the same reaction. It could be due to the safire having longer lines. It seemed to me that the lines on the safire where at least 1ft longer than on the Pilot. The Landings on both were good. I thought the Safire had a bit more approach speed and felt a bit "Swoopier". Both flared well...I would say the Pilot has a pretty even reaction to flare input and the Safire2 seems to have more of the power near the bottom (much like it reacts to toggle turns). Both canopy's have serious glide (compared to My TRI!) I couldn't tell for sure, but I'm guessing the pilot has a bit more glide. I'm putting the Pilot slightly ahead of the Safire2. One day I will actually buy a new canopy, but so far..I rate the ones I've demo'd and my old tri as: Openings: Pilot 5 of 5 Safire2 4.5 of 5 Spectre 4 of 5 Tri 3 of 5 Fun Factor (Turns): Pilot 5 of 5 Safire2 3.5 of 5 Spectre 3 of 5 Tri 2 of 5 Glide: Pilot 5 of 5 Safire2 5 of 5 Spectre 3.5 of 5 Tri 2 of 5 Landings: Pilot 5 of 5 Safire2 5 of 5 Spectre 4 of 5 Tri 2 of 5 Next up: Firebolt, Fusion, and Sabre2 - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  20. Brand new...like 0 jumps..no, but I did psycho pack a very near new a demo Pilot...and it wasn't exactly easy...but definitely better than S-Folding. - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  21. the pilot is a super-slow (awesome) opening canopy...no need to roll the nose...it reacts (in my experience) very well to psycho-packing...which I would recommend. - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  22. The current design is awesome! I wouldn't change a thing those openings are the best of any canopy I have tried thus far....and I can't see how ZP ribs would otherwise improve performance. That thing is hard enough to pack as it is. Love it though! - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  23. As far as I can tell....The pilot has ZP top and bottom but has F-111 ribs. It is still a bitch to pack...but psycho packing really helps with that. The pilot is really easy to land versus the 7 cells I'm used to Tri and Spectre. My Safire comes this weekend followed by the Firebolt a few weeks later. Demo'ing is awesome. There are so many choices for intermediate canopies! Decisions...Decisions! - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  24. Demo's are cheap. I say Demo them all...that's my choice...I'm also demo'ing the Firebolt! - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  25. I a have one more weekend on my Demo of the Pilot (which has the softest opening you can imagine and is blast to fly)...I have a Safire demo coming in this week....and will then demo a Sabre2...I'll let you know my thoughts afte that. I currently fly a Tri and have demo'd a Spectre. The pilot is wayyy better than both of those in my oppinion. - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
