  1. AWESOME. I watched a few videos (precision website) and read a bit about psychopacking and tried it. Wow! what a difference. It went in the bag with ease! I'll have to see how well it opens and if it is equally as good...I'm a psychopacking convert!!! - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  2. It was nice to meet you...too bad the weather was crappy! - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  3. My opening yesterday where on-heading and smooth. - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  4. Just got home after a few jumps on it. In the Air: I love it! Awesome and super soft openings despite my sloppish pack jobs, sharp turns, good glide and good surfy flare. On the Ground: I still hate it! - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  5. Hmm? Yes seems to be in a slight lead. While not based upon the results of this poll, I did order my new Prodigy Wingsuit this week...but it takes about 5-6 weeks to come in. - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  6. The Pilot is a 210. My Tri is a 220. My rig (and bag) is a J5 Jav made for up to a 230. It's the slipperyness that was getting to me. I'll let you know how it flies after I actually jump it tomorrow. - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  7. It took me about 4 times to get it in the bag...and then I unpacked it because I thought it wasn't neat enough and about an hour later I got it rebag'ed. What beast! - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  8. A reply to all: Nice! It sounds like I'm not the only one that has gotten into a knock down drag out with a brand new pilot. The Spectre ZP was really bad when I demo'ed one of those...but this Pilot ZP is extra "crispy" and slick and was a real pain in the neck. I think I will have to pay a packer tomorrow for the repacks...and my conscience just want let me pay them only $5 to pack that beast. Hey Aerodyne...think you could convince Gelvenor to make the old stuff again???
  9. I've been skydiving in one since around 50 jumps (the older version). It is a pretty simple suit to fly. The new version does not appear to have any major changes that would appear to affect the ease of flight. It's a blast to fly! - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  10. That is my old post on the subject...forgot that I bitched about the same thing on here the last time. "It's not available" is really not a reason. It seems that is was cheaper and better. I don't get it. - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  11. Ha! I just needed to vent! It is now in the bag in a mostly organized fashion! - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  12. So, I'm demo'ing a spanking new Pilot. It is, at this moment, laying in my living room floor after having taken the full blunt force of my swearing rage. I currently own a 1998 Triathlon that is made of the old Gelvenor ZP and it packs soooo easily. I just can't understand how the manufacturers have decided to use the standard (sourcoat) ZP over the old SA Gelvenor type ZP. It just doesn't make sense to me. It seems that the market would choose the better product which the SA Gelvenor clearly is. I would easily pay a $ premium if I could buy a new canopy made of the old Gelvenor ZP!!! OK back to the mat with this crispy slippery peice of crap! - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  13. I've got no good pics either, but I love tracking. It is the $hit!
  14. JT-I would discuss this with Simon. I think he is really up on the whole tax deduction thing. I'm an accountant as well...although I really only work on corporate SEC related matters and not taxes...but we can discuss. You should be able to deduct just about everything Skydiving related... - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  15. You might be in some luck for some flocking. Another one of the TM's (Lance) does a bit of WS'ing too. He broke out his GTI this weekend for a few jumps. - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  16. I'm a Mesquite'r! So is jtval and kynan1 and several others. I'm sure we'll all be there. - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  17. Yes, I'm pretty set on becoming a bird. I'll be out there this weekend trying to squeeze out the max glide of my tracking suit. I'm sure there is a lot left in it. Hope to see you on the 10th to see if I can hang with you for a bit before you go screaming off ahead (and above) me. I'll be easy to spot in my bright orange PF suit! - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  18. There are no regular birds at SDM, but I love to do tracking dives and have a PF-Tracking Suit. If you want to fly dirty next to me...I'll try my best to keep up.
  19. Thanks for the comments. I do not claim to be "ahead of the curve", but I have spent the last 25 jumps "training/planning" for flying a wingsuit (as much as one can train with a PF-Tracking Suit that is). Mainly I have focused on, exit order, flight pattern, simulated flat spin recovery and simulated W-Suit wave off and deployment sequence. One day I will fly a wingsuit...mabye at 150 jumps mabye at 201; just considering my options and the related risk. The lure of W-Suiting is what drew me to commit to the sport and keeps me psyched. - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  20. Skymonkey-Thanks for the constructive and informative feedback. I had not heard that the Prodigy was more difficult to fly or potentially unbalanced (leg vs wing). Things to think about for sure. - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  21. I just wanted to get some public opinion on flying a Prodigy before 200 jumps. I know the USPA suggest 200 jumps before flying a wingsuit. I know also that some consider the Prodigy a "hybrid" suit ...not a wingsuit. It seems that the biggest risk of W-Suiting is the complications possible during deployment and the Prodigy simplifies the situation a bit when compared to say a GTI. I have several jumps on a PF-Tracking suit and have had to consider the fallrate and flight path issues on these dives as this suit can yield slow (
  22. I have about 20 jumps on my PF Track Suit (pants and jacket). This combo is excellent. I have logged average fall rates in the low 70's with minimum rates in as low as 57. The forward drive from the pants is outstanding. The suit is nice looking and well constructed but it is constructed of a ZP like material that does not seem suitable for the potential roughness of BASE approaches and landings...but what do I know... I just use them for skydiving..and I love them. These are Lightyears better than the Birdman Pantz!

    Pantz

BM Pantz are well constructed and seem to be built for lots of jumps (be it from planes or fixed objects). Mine have a ton of jumps on them and I like them for fun jumps and as something to throw on for H&P's but if I'm looking for pure tracking performance...I reach for my PF tracking suit. I do wear my Pantz a lot though. The can easily be worn on normal fun jumps and definitely provide you with better drive than most jumpsuits.

    Skydive Arizona

What can you say about the Biggest Baddest DZ in the world? Eloy is like a campus: Pool, Coffee House, Restraunt, Bar, Riggers, Massage Parlor, Loads of Camping, Bunkhouse, Skydiver Inn, etc. Oh yeah and they have a Tunnel and loads of Aircraft. The Southern AZ weather makes Eloy the place to be in the winter...but probably not so much in the summer. If the weather is jumpable...Eloy will have loads going pretty much anyday of the week. The view from altitude is not the most exciting but the landing area is very nice and the nearby area is virtually totally flat and offers lots of outs. Like Perris...Eloy is one of those places ever skydiver should checkout!
  25. I agree! I actually have the Infinity Risers (with the metal housings) on my Javelin. If I demo again...I'll ensure I use my risers if it come's on old ones without any inserts. Lesson learned on that one! - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
