  1. Got any really good pics of what this position looks like in a Phantom?? - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  2. Nice to meet you too. I should have waited out the storm a bit longer on Saturday. I'm going to try to make it to C-City this weekend...if the wife and the job allow. - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  3. Had a great time with the suit this weekend at Elsinore...despite some less than perfect weather. But I did get to carve around a cloud for the first time! My #'s were not improved versus the Prodigy...but I know I was getting the Prodigy dialed and this suit flies differently. I managed to get in one flock. To figure the suit out, I think I need to do some 2 ways to get better visuals on how changes in body position effect the Fwd and Vert speeds in this suit. The most notable thing is that this suit is easier to fly and A LOT less tiring. - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  4. Joe. - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  5. Ha! Well I kind of guessed that something was wrong to begin with....after all his color scheme was white and purple for goodness sake. (Let's see how long until he sees this post.) - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  6. One of my AFF instructors told me early on that the two most important things in skydiving are Style & Accuracy. Style means matching gear and Accuracy means landing by the camera. - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  7. After a healthy wait...it arrived last week and I will be able to jump it tomorrow!!! See Pics - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  8. I started with a prodigy. Good low stress first suit with good resell value. - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  9. I like the first one! I've always hated the second one...everything is a bit of a hyperbole. How about we reword that one to be more truthfull... "When you jump out of an airplane, you're DEAD....well.... unless you do several things right...well not right....more like reasonably close to correct or almost right....well actually....even if you F it all up, your Cypress still might still save you....but then again...you might do everything perfectly right and still die. Sound Like Fun? Enjoy!" - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  10. thanks for the info! I just bought a tempo 210 to put in it. - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  11. That's what i thought. I didn't think it made since that the Dash M 218 would fit and then the 170 Tempo would be snug (I have a Tempo 250 that fits nicely in my Jav J5 and it is suppused to only fit 218s by other manufacturers). So, I was really confused as to if I could truly get a Dash M 218 or Tempo 250 in there. Reading Mark's comments makes me realize that the Tempo 250 must surely be a no-go. Maybe I'll consider getting a Tempo 210 or Dash M 218. The site says the Dash M 218 will fit...does it pack smaller than a Tempo 210? Thanks for the info!!! - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  12. Riggers: What's the biggest reserve (size and brand) that you have comfortably packed into an M5 sized Mirage? (I looked at the mirage site...but they have a pretty limited list.) Jumpers: Got an M5, anyone got a 200ish sqft reserve in it? Thanks for the info! - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  13. I saw some older posts on the subject, but am interested in what people are getting these days in all of the newer suits. Looking at the pics of the Ghost, Blade, and Super Mach1...I'm guessing the bar has been raised substantially recently. If you mention freefall time, be sure to indicate your exit alti and deployment alti. My Phantom arrives on Monday....I can't wait. - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  14. During the fall/winter, I drive 1.5 hours to Mesquite (ok sometimes only an hour...if I'm caffienated). During the Spring/Summer, I drive 4 hours to Elsinore/Perris. - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  15. What happened to the engine, exactly? - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  16. The additions are the same fabric PF uses. I did 5 flights on the suit. My average vertical speeds were 60MPH which is the same as pre-mod (I'm about 6'2" and 240 Exit Weight....I know...I need to to lose some weight). My forward speed improved slightly...very slightly. I was expecting some weird control differences...if anything, it is less twitchy and easier to manuever. However the arm wing extensions love to cover my hackey. It was pretty easy to flip out of the way...but still a pain given the lack of significant performance improvement. There is probably some performance left. Pre-Mod, when I was maxing out, I would totally de-arch and flex my legs. When I rolled my shoulders and looked down, I could see my feet and flat body. Post-Mod, I can feel the additional force low on the tail wing and have a difficult time fully lowering my feet...if I can manage to lower my feet fully and fully de-arch...maybe the performance improvements will show. Obviously, I am a pretty novice jumper and wingsuit pilot...so others results may vary. I did manage to get the most incredible amount of line twist ever after I burbled my pilot chute on the last jump. The bag twisted at least 4 times before opening (i.e. there were 4+ full twist before the slider inflated fully) and it continued to twist upon opening...I had at least 20 twist when it stopped (seriously). Big kudos to the docile nature of my big ass Triathlon for flying straight and steady even when the twist where all the way up the lines and half way down my risers. Kicking out of 20+ line twist is a dizzying experience... All that said, it was a fun experiment!
  17. Attached is a Pic of version 1 of my pimped out Prodigy. We added about 7 inches to the legwing and 2 inches to the arm wings. Test flights tomorrow... I say version 1 because I am pretty sure we will need to do a little tweaking on the armwing attachment points to maintain the tension to the tip of the wings. Most likely we will just add an additional attachment point at the tip and mounted lower on the pants while maintaining the original attachment point as well. We added stiffner from the attachment point to the lower edge, but I can see that while that may prevent some flapping...it will probably not prevent the inside part of the extension from just folding back under the pressure of the relative wind...we'll see. (Note: Yes I know that this sort of experimentation can be dangerous.) - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  18. what was your delivery time? I've been waiting for 8 weeks on my phantom! - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  19. Chris, Thanks for the additional emailed photo's...my Prodigy is at the rigger as we speak...more details to come!
  20. that size will be written on the rigs label, like C17. now sure how to physically measure it on the rig though I have a Javelin and Dolphin and do not see such a label on either. - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  21. Awesome! Thanks so much! - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.

  23. Niko, Did you ever get any detail/pics on this? - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  24. Thanks, I know how to measure my size, but not the rigs... - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
  25. What are the start and end points that are used to measure the size of the MLW? - - - I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
