  1. The old testament forged a radical zeal for God, just the one he grew to plant his seed. Without the zeal of the jews at that time, Christ would not have been crucified for herasy, and we would not have the truth of Gods grace. "The stone the builders rejected has become the corner stone" "We didn't start the fire"
  2. Anyone who seeks the truth in Christ has to use discernment, especially in this age. My conscience is clear by saying, it is better to bring a homosexual to the love of God, than to renounce him, as he is just as sinful as you. The Old Testament was written that we might know what sin is so that the New Testament can flood us with grace... The immorality is not in the being gay as much as it is in the lustfulness associated with it. In any event, immorality has nothing to do with salvation as many believe it does. It used to, before Christ, but now salvation is through faith in the truth. If you are guilty of sin, repent with all your heart and ask God to reveal his grace in Jesus, then you will know the truth, and immorality, as the world debates will become more and more dwarfed by the saving power of grace. You are not going to get a straight answer for the question you ask. You might as well say that all those who are immoral will not have Christ... and that statement is completely wrong. If you are gay, examine your thoughts, but remember that repentance will bring you the truth, and the truth is very powerful against even your own thoughts. Have nothing to do with the gay basher type, God is about understanding, revelation, and enlightenment. The world is about judgement, condemnation and hatred. But again, use your own discernment, you have a mind of your own. "We didn't start the fire"
  3. It really only appears in Romans 1 (New Testament) "In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion." I used to think the due penalty was shame, but I dont believe that everyone feels shame for being gay, instead I think the penalty for perversion is lust... something that can never be satisfied unfortunately. In my faith, the God I know will not abandon the homosexual anymore than he would abandon the heterosexual and I dont believe God abandons anyone who puts their hope in him. But lust is sin, and we all have lust (some more than others). Jesus said to a man he had healed (john 5:13) "See, you are well again. Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you" Sin inspires rebellion and rebellion inspires bitterness towards God... this circle of sin and bitterness is a prison, just as Jesus says "anyone who sins is a slave to sin" So to answer your question, the bible doesnt say that homosexuality is immoral, but it does warn against the flame of lust keeping us in a spiritual prison. I believe that being gay with lust is no more immoral than being straight with lust. That lust is lust and that gay people can love one another without lust. I know im long winded, but this isnt always easy to explain with few words. "We didn't start the fire"
  4. Not anymore than alcohol. Unless you can give me solid examples why alcohol is more worthy than weed of being legal. I agree, America and all countries I have been to have a fluent supply of herb that is readily availiable and easily attained. The only problem is that it is illegal in all of them, except in a few where it is simply tolerated, but still illegal (for other than medicinal purposes) I think the laws desperately need to be reveiwed in regards to herb. It should be viewed as lighter than alcohol but heavier than ciggarettes, and more healthy than both believe it or not... but... it should also be regulated with as strict of guidelines as alcohol especially when it comes to operating machinery, vehicles, or working in/for the public. I dont know, I just think our current laws are WAYYYY too strict on herb. I think this is what California and other states are trying to imply. "We didn't start the fire"
  5. If I may Ron. I believe love is easy, its our weak faith that makes it hard. At least for me, I have to believe past my sin... and it seems everything is sin. The love is always there, just as sin is, but its the faith in grace that remains pure and genuine and guides me at least in the way I think I should go. This of course may just be an excuse, but I am filled with weakness and have to rely heavily on grace if I am to be with God eternally (as in every moment which exists.) Merry Christmas to you also brother. "We didn't start the fire"
  6. -No, im saying something quite a bit different, but im afraid you may be hearing something similar to the same thing that has hidden the truth from people for a long time, I call it the lie, and unfortunately/fortunately it is necessary to find the truth. All I can say is try to understand the Gospel as it is written... in spirit and in truth, with all your heart. "We didn't start the fire"
  7. -It should say, "I must be home because everyone in church (church is just communion with God) understands me" Church is a state of mind, where believers are free to worship God in spirit and in truth with full understanding and without judgement... whereever they hear the voice or find the bread. "Where two or more get together in my name, there I will be" If we're going to define church in these forums, it should at least be defined as it is in the Gospel. Its a gathering of believers, or a moment with God in spirit and in truth, and the setting can literally be anywhere... some of the most humble spots in the universe have brought some of the greatest revelations of the spirit. "We didn't start the fire"
  8. What is hell? Have you been there? Has anybody been there? Where I have been, is in the fire of restlessness, hopelessness, struggle, confusion, chaos and pain, as most have been. I wrote a lyric one time to express it "Im trapped in a prison, and I cant find the little bars that hold me there"... If people want to label such a radical experience of emptiness as merely a collapse or imballance of chemical movement in my brain, then so be it. But I was incredibly suprised by the power of the light in Jesus. It is in the spirit of this light that I continue to share these revelations, that I hold very dear, with anyone those moments are for, always with great scrutiny and sometimes persecution (which I understand fully by the way and no worries there). I dont personally believe in the hell that most do. I do believe in hell, as the eternal death, but also necessary for their to be the brighter more life inspiring hope of heaven and eternal life. Jesus' disciples asked him where heaven was, and he responded, "It is difficult to say where heaven is, because the kingdom of heaven is within you." To me, it just made much more sense to assume as well that hell is within. I believe in heaven and hell, like I believe in life and death. There is a life beyond just being alive, and there is a death worse than dying. If you want the life of God that is your right to have, then just ask Jesus and go from there. You may experience something miraculous and indescribable! However one percieves heaven and hell, it is wise to fear God, and that fear, if real, will find a greater love. The bible says to "understand what it means to fear the Lord" and that "the one who fears is not made perfect in love". This tells me that understanding the fear of the Lord is what allows us to find perfection in love. To answer your question, its not that he sends people who dont accept him to hell, is that there is only life in his spirit and if you dont know/find that life, then all you have is death. "The spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life" "I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; He has crossed over from death to life" "I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blook, you have no life in you" "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" I added the italics to emphasize, that if someone wants to come to God, it must be through the spirit of Jesus, but the bible goes on to reveal that God comes to whomever he pleases. Think about a child who eats nothing but stale unsalted crackers his whole life, its no worries, its just what he eats, and he finds great enjoyment in them at times. Then one day he gets a taste of the absolute most tastiest desert and hes dumbfounded by how awesome it was, hes "baptised" in that moment forever. Even though before he had the greatest desert, the crackers were just fine...becasue he never knew what he was missing until he found out. The memory alone of eating that desert will last him and give him hope, knowing that sort of tasteful experience exists at all. I believe that life is good, life is great even, and it is meant to be enjoyed fully, but it is even better with grace, and now you know the truth. Hope this helps. edited to add quotes. "We didn't start the fire"
  9. "I am sorry, but you don't "know what you need to find". Since I found hope, I feel as if I can die in peace, and no amount of evidence can give you that, nor take it away. Im afraid you may underestimate the power of hope. "We didn't start the fire"
  10. "You dont understand when I speak to you of earthly things, how then could you understand if I speak to you of heavenly things"? Not all are meant to understand, only those who can hear with their own ears. Is Jesus the only possible way to God? This question has been a stumbling stone for generations, but for the God I know, nothing is impossible. So, stumble on that if you must, or just stand on the rock and keep running. Also "God is the savior of all man, but especially of those who believe", and the wisdom (The word, the truth) that was with God in the beginning appeared as flesh through Christ. That means that the wisdom and power of salvation (confidence with the spirit of God) has been in the world from the beginning (just hadnt yet appeared in flesh), and therefore has been saving from the beginning. Even without the knowledge of Christ (truth) people have come to know God. (Herasy right? God is my judge) Jesus is the spirit that brings people closer to God. If you want to grow in God, find the gift of repentance, and grow in Christs love, if you want to grow in God without Christ, then at least grow in love, and if you dont want to grow in God at all, at least grow in love. What will be, will be, believing this is the essence of Gods will, but of course that doesnt make us innocent of our choices, and therefore holds our concious mind in contempt and judgement. This is not so that God can punish his creation in hell for eternity, this is so that there can be a new creation born of the invisible God. When you forge steel, you do it in a fire. The steel is what is being forged, the fire is merely necessary. No one can commune with God without faith, and since God is eternal the one who communes with him in eternity is the one whos faith is forged in this furnace of affliction we know as the world. Every thing is in Gods will, the fire is his, and everything serves the purpose of good, ultimately. There are only so many souls living in the universe occupying the same time. Only when ALL those souls come to a knowledge of the truth will we have peace on earth. The truth is that God loves us. Thats the secret, that is the power of grace. And not with the love we use to love one another, that is very weak, but with the very nature of love itself. Love, loves to love... the hardened heart cannot deal with that truth. There is a firey motion of love moving through the "universe" of the soul of mankind, some are in it, some are fueling it with "hot coals", making it stronger and stronger, until the truth occupys all the souls from the beginning to the end, because God said as it was in the beginning so shall it be in the end. There is an ultimate purpose of the human life, just as there is with all things that sustain life. That purpose is spelled out in the inspired word of God. That all shall know that God is the savior, creator, and lover of man, and that there shall be a new heaven and a new earth filled with the forged creations of Gods spirit. It is Gods desire that no one perish, that all come to the knowledge of the truth, and that we learn to love one another in spirit and in truth, just as God loves us. I believe that when the motion of Gods will is complete, and his Word has sevred its purpose, that he will appear to all of us... that God will appear to all of us. Whether this is a physical manifestion, or just an absolutely overwhelming spiritual revelation of the concious mind. Many are missing the purpose of the Christian faith. It is to bring a transcendent peace to all the inhabitants of the earth through a revelation of Gods eternal and powerful love. Why is this such a bad thing? Many only know and have intimate relations with the sin living in us, but few know and have intimate relations with the grace that takes away that sin. There is a difference between believing in God and believing in Gods eternal grace. It is the zeal of the jews at the time of Christ (and certainly present today in many Christian, Islamic, and Hindu enviornments) that crucified the truth, because through their zeal, they did not know or recognize the grace. They were too busy "honoring with the lips instead of the heart". If the zeal of those religions that believe in God would see his grace, the world would be a better place for everyone. Understanding and presenting God is not about how the world began, or what is sin, or who is right ect... it is about knowing the spirit of God and living in peace and love with all life in that truth. God is love. For now, dont let sin inspire a rebellion in you that keeps you from what loves you most, everything is sin, and idle talk from idle mouths inspires idle thought. What good does it do anyone to follow the bitter-filled venom that this man spits? Has it given you hope? Are you now filled with great peace and love toward all mankind? Are you armed to fight the greater fight within your own mind between what gives you ife and what trys to destroy it? Has he given you any reason to believe in love? Has he answered the deeper questions of your soul and made you a more powerful spiritual vessel, allowing your life to connect with all life? Could I not make the same video with supporing examples of why following the systematic pre-existant influence of the world is detrimental to a truly fulfilling life? This man has a broad scope of worldly perspectives of religion and a very keen wit, but im afraid he lacks even a simple raindrop of spiritual life. For those who seek the deeper gratifications and thirsts, this man is an empty well. All this is inspired through the Word of God through the blood of Jesus. Its greatly encouraged, at least by me, to enjoy and celebrate Christmas with all your heart. Put up trees, play in the snow, give, decorate, eat, drink and be merry and give thanks in all circumstances! Trust not in tomorrow, trust in God... dont forget to enjoy the sky and the gift we were given to be able to experience it just once. Now, how many people did I upset? The Bluest Skies. 11. ..."is allowed to have a nice home, a beautiful wife, a dream job and a great income while some devout christians were born into and will remain in poverty, opression and pain for the entire lives. " Content CAN be found in any circumstance. It is possible that any of those Lifestyles you spoke, of although very hard in their own ways, could be more spiritually peaceful and enlightening. We have seen some of the greatest vessels of wisdom come from very humble beginnings. "how is it possible that assholes that wish to overpower the masses are allowed to do so, are rewarded with lavish lifestyles and live as the please." Because they are not seeking content, but they have to be there to tell the story of those who are at least trying, to inspire the deeper interests of the heart. Those sound more like examples of money power and greed to me rather than hope, love and peace. "The Christain message is that the divine god is aware of everything, and we are all answerable to god upon our deaths." Im afraid you dont know much about the Christian message. It is about bringing ALL the lost souls back to God, so we can all be one in love, and so that none shall perish, and man can be with God in eternity, "As it was in the beginning, so shall it be in the end". Somewhere along the line, the judgment of God fell on the ears and consciences of man, and man has been abusing its power since (probably well before that with the spirit of fear and judgment existent in our minds)... the truth hid itself while the lie continued to thrive inside the world... The lie that takes us further away from God, from our right to a clean conscience by the blood of Christ. Our life is our right. Repentance is just admitting the truth, grace is the power that cleanses, and faith keeps the thieves away. We are free to love rhys, so why arent we doing it? Whos fault is it? Could it be ours and even, could it (the blame) be destined to be overcome by the mind of mankind? Only when we all stop blaming each other do we begin to see blame in ourselves and will the world thrive in peace instead of contempt. "We didn't start the fire"
  12. "And that's why there are no genuine Christians there, as to be one you have to only have sex in marriage, only in missionary and only for procreation - no condoms, no oral, no anal. This alone would exclude a lot of so-called "christians" I am sorry this is what you see. In many peoples' eyes, there may not be one who knows Jesus, but the spirit of Jesus is real, living, moving and working to bring people closer to God. Believe it or not, he wants you just as you are rather than not having you at all. His spirit will guide you into what you desire most in your heart. But you have to let go and stop trying to hold on so tight... We're either learning how to let go or learning how to hold on... and you know what they say "letting go is the hardest part" "We didn't start the fire"
  13. "Again, it's a matter of perspective: one's man's bearer-of-witness is another man's pain in the ass." Is this not the fundamental basis of tolerance? I think spiritual people also have to be tolerant... Let me give you an example. A recovering alcoholic has to deal with a barrage of advertisements, shows, music, just about everything that promotes alcohol. Why should he be criticized for his "ability" to tolerate the influence and remain alcohol free? Rather, both sides should seek to attain an equal level of tolerance. I dont know why it is so difficult for people to tolerate the occasional Christian witness and not so difficult to tolerate the pizza guy who knocks on the wrong door from time to time. Or any number of "inconveniences" in our everyday life for that matter. You cant get rid of the human ability for faith, but you can learn to adapt to those enviornments thereof... and that goes for all faiths... even those who have none at all. I believe in time we will all know the truth that brings peace to all mankind. Let me just add... this truth will be a radical and revolutionary way of thinking which means the change must come from within the minds of all peoples. "We didn't start the fire"
  14. "Why do christians pick out the few verses about gays in the OT but ignore all the other verses about stoning adulterers and selling their daughters into slavery and such? " If your not a spiritual believer in Christ im afraid it may be too hard for you to understand the answer to such a question. The short answer is that not all Christians are Christians. Those Christians seem to be operating in the spirit of judgment rather than in the spirit of grace. In this case, it is not the "abstainer" who is judging you, but rather the world that the "abstainer" is being led out of. Sadly, many Christians have forgotten that they are only saved by grace, not by their ability or even desire to remain "sin free" Sin is the condemnation of the world and those who choose to live by it. Those who have been freed through faith are still sinners (though many of them do not believe this) but are saved by the POWER of grace alone even and almost especially in their weakness. If a heart is truly freed from condemnation, the judgements against the world wouldnt apply to that heart, but, that doesnt mean that he/she is innocent either. To me, those who spend their thoughts trying to figure out what is sin and what is not are also not operating in the spirit of peace, because peace goes way beyond our own thoughts and understanding (Isaiah). Instead, they seem to be operating in the spirit of judgement and should be careful in the way they do judge... Its okay to guide or teach, but never okay to forget you yourself are always being guided and taught as well. Jesus spends very little time outlining the sins themselves, but makes it clear that all those who do sin are slaves to sin. Like it or not, Christ reveals that all are guilty of sin, but that truth alone, if accepted, opens the door to the true power of grace. When one truly understands and recieves the grace of the living God, the desire for God far outweighs the desire for sin. That is, what we truly want is clean thoughts with a clear conscience, something that is not found in the future, or in the past, but right now and only through faith. For the believer, Jesus cleans the conscience, but it seems to be quite a struggle to escape the thoughts and accusations that the world uses against itself. Hypocrites are not of the spirit but are of the world, and they accuse with the most power, because a hypocrite is a liar against the truth. If there is any bitterness at all in you in regards to Jesus, then you should know that bitterness inspires rebellion, and there is no peace in rebellion. An unclean thought is anything that disturbs the inner peace... usually they are accusations that inspire some sort of rebellion (when no rebellion is necessary), so while the accusations are hard to escape because we are all living with sin, the condemnation is easily defeated by the spirit. But again, this knowledge is not for everyone, only for those who have been baptized by the spirit of grace that a sincere faith in Jesus offers. I can only speak from my faith and I believe the condemnation of sin is the fate of the world (spiritual death), those who believe are still in the world, but not of the world. If this is not true, then why do I sense as if you feel you are judged and condemned simply because others choose to believe in Jesus? Im afraid many people underestimate the power and purpose of the conscience... it can bring a man peace or unrest, but it is very powerful nonetheless. Hope this helps in your quest for the answer to that question. "We didn't start the fire"
  15. "are you a gay christian too then!? " One can believe whether gay or straight and others can judge the gay man just as they can the straight man. Sexual orientation does not trump judgement, that is, the one that judges the gay or straight man is actually operating in the spirit of the world rather than in the spirit of God. I dont believe homosexuality is immoral, but I do believe that a desire for lust will interrupt and disturb the desire for peace. Why would it be so bad to love another, whether woman or man? There is a much deeper and much more intimate love that goes beyond sex. The definition of gay as the world understands it involves sex, but that is not the truth. It is possible to love either gender without sex, unfortunately this usually is considered gay among the masses. Jesus washed the feet of his disciples. This act alone would be hard for the world to accept as intimate affection without the accusation of homosexuality. But no, Im not gay in the way you see it, but I do still struggle with the lust that tries to steal my peace. "We didn't start the fire"
  16. Jesus is all about leading us out of the pre-established system of the world and teaching us how to keep peace within by learning how to let go. Its not Christ who judges you, it is the world that judges you... But this does not mean that believers are any better or any worse than another who believes something else or someone who doesnt believe at all. It just means that those who find peace in Christ, find peace in Christ, and those that find peace in some other faith, find peace in some other faith, and those who find peace without faith, find peace without faith. The hypocrite forgets they are saved by grace and grace alone and therefore feels justified to judge others, and this is totally contrary to the Christian faith. Its my contention that those who desire to oppress their faith on others are not operating in the spirit of peace at all, but, those who desire to share are. If the conscience of the one who hears another share their faith (or non faith) is clean, then there should be no disruption of peace within. "We didn't start the fire"
  17. "And that folks is why I am not a Christian.... I can't stand hypocrisy. " Jesus was most against the hypocrite. If you dont hear genuine love, then Jesus doesnt guide them. "Beware the yeast of the Pharisees which is hypocrisy"- (Luke12:1) The truth is the only one who isnt a hypocrite is the one who admits he is one... It is just the hypocrisy you spoke of that keeps people from God. "We didn't start the fire"
  18. Chris, I myself am looking at a camera helmet and am strongly considering the same combo. I have seen some video taken with the TG1 and I wasnt too impressed to be honest, but, what I was viewing was through youtube and I know the quality goes down quite a bit during transfer. How is the picture on the TG1, and would it be possible for you to send me some good quality videos from the TG1 BEFORE it gets downloaded to a viewing website. Anything you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Blues, ryan "We didn't start the fire"
  19. Or is the community getting smaller? I think when we find the answer to "what is skydiving?" we find the community, yet, it is a fantastic thing for anyone to even do one in their entire life. This may helps us when recieving new people to other dropzones? "We didn't start the fire"
  20. I am sorry, it seems I posted this in the wrong thread but thank you for the reply. "We didn't start the fire"
  21. Is ANYONE taking into consideration the number of camera/video entanglements? Not all of them are fatal or have created incidents but in my opinion if it happens just once it should be discussed and examined a little deeper. It seems to me that someone might come up with a more slim design that would at least attempt to put something with a much less profile on our heads. Im only interested in serious replys, preferably from those who fly camera and consider themselves photographers. I know the SLR gets great pics at fast shutter speeds, but could there possibly be another way to get the shot without taking the added risk? What about mounting the camera somewhere else like the crotch? I was sort of just kidding about that last part. Just curious to know if this has been discussed and I just dont know how to do the proper search... "We didn't start the fire"
  22. Faith is our proof, and beleive me, its all we need. Our faith is fed and sustained by grace. It really is just that simple. "We didn't start the fire"
  23. You know, if you ever stop focusing on the metaphor of Christ, and start focusing on his message, I think you'll find that you could learn a lot from Jeanie^2. In your mind I guess you would be right. "We didn't start the fire"

  25. >>>>I sense sincerity in you, but for some reason a little bitterness in regards to what people believe about Jesus. Im sorry for that. Also, I dont think it is entirely fair to highlight just one side of my posts to "prove" your point. My desire is to become like the righteousness of God, but I am far far from it. However, everything that you quoted me on I believe is the truth. It is the line between a believer and an non-believer in Jesus, so depending on what side of the line your on, that is the perspective from which you see. While you think it is absolute nonsense, it may fit right in with someone elses beliefs, not just my own. So, you dont only think what I have said is nonsense, but everyone who believes the way I do as well. >>>>Well, what makes you think I am a preacher? And, what makes you think I found my spirituality from a preacher? Could it be that the Christianity you have been witness to is not the one I follow? I believe it could, and probably is. I have stayed away from the church for a very long time, and I still do for the most part. I dont want to bad mouth it because many people get spiritually fed in there and lives are changed for the better, but for me, I find more enjoyment and spiritual connection with God than with the church. I do get to find genuine Christians every now and then, but their not all over the place believe me. While I may be the one who is considered false, I still find great comfort in likeminded believers who know, understand, and follow Jesus with all thier heart. Jesus gives us forgiveness for the things we are guilty for, and I am guilty for alot. Why would I turn down this forgiveness? If you can find me holier than thou, then you have done a good job locating the grace in me, but truth is something you havent seen. You havent heard my confessions, my guilt, my shame. I have said it many times, but you still have not heard it, and for that again, all I can say is I am very sorry. I am trying. >>>>Nevertheless, the dali lama did not die for my sins, and Jesus, while I also know he was a cool man, was also crucified, buried, ressurected, and is fully alive today, testifying to the spirit of grace and finishing the work of the word of God through the testimony of those who believe on him. Of course I know you dont believe this, but I do, with all my heart. >>>>It seems you may believe that we find spirituality outside of reality, I can assure you, it is quite the opposite. But again, we just believe differently. >>>>Yes. I have and still do pray for "stupid little things" but, we actually do grow in our understanding spiritually, that is even our prayers mature and we learn more and more what to pray for. Jesus, was always asking people what they truly wanted, sometimes its finding what we truly want that can be the most evasive in our search. I am much more humble in my prayers now, and mostly spend them praying for others. I feel what I pray for is really sort of personal, between me and Jesus. Literally, I will ask him for my own time, just him and I, and there is much truth in those prayers. Jesus knows me more than I know myself, so I try hard not to hide my shortcomings and failures. But I hope me not going into details for you doesnt make you think I am dodging your question (that I feel is sincere), but its like sharing your deepest heart with someone and in my case, that heart is just for Jesus...he gets it all. I guess im a bit selfish in that regard. Do I think he listens? Absolutely. And sometimes, you can even hear him listening. "We didn't start the fire"
