I'm happy with my citys efforts there getting better. All yard waste only gan be in larger paper bags of for brush and tree limbs bundled and put at the curb for Composting pick up. In the fall the leaves can be left curb side for Vacum truck pickup. WE have a green bin for food waste that is Picked up every week , Rycling and garbage alternate every week and now they have a fixed size garbage bin if you exceed it you pay extra we have 3 adults and two kinds in the house and with teh composting and recycling we have yet to exceed the garbage limit And any thing that not garbage we call good will for pickup of items that can be reused. There was a time there was rules that said blacks couldn’t compete should we go back to that? Things change and progress the suit doesn’t give her any competitive advantage so where is the issue in it other then the existing rules on the colour of the clothing? Some traditions need to be kept and rules and laws followed but other need to be changed to keep up with the changes of society. Why? Because at some point the intolerance need to be changed. There is a long history of intolerance towards Jewish people but until the events of WWII they begin to speak out and force change. There are still segments that resist this and they are still fighting memberships at country clubs of all places. Blacks have faced the same thing they have been in the country for well over a century and to this day still face discrimination but majour events of the 60’s were the turning point, Woman not allowed to vote work in many industries till suffraget of the past fought for those rights, and the list goes on. The only problem with your story is that there are to many people that like to be spoon feed and will take what you wrote as just that a story. They will believe what ever they are told from the central powers to be. As other have spoken there has to be more action. I'm not able to be at the meeting but in my short time of being around this sport there are people I all ready know and met that hold the same views that I would entrust to take my vote and do something productive with. I will give them my proxy so that even though I can’t be there I will still have a say. This online voting that Jan is working on must strike fear in some of the BOD as it would allow even more people a means of voicing their opinion of what they think of them. The other issue is some people don’t feel comfortable in confrontation or speaking out that’s ok to if they know there are others who will carrier their wishes for them. It’s all ready evident that no matter what opinion you have in this sport your going to piss off people and I’d rather piss people of with sticking with my ethics and what I fell is the right thing to do then just being silent. I'd rather be jumping the gun and have people start asking questions and get answers to the question then just wait the 22 days till the BOD meeting and be spoon feed what they want to tell you. It may not have much of a chance but they are still accountable to the membersip in explaining their actions. That would strike me as an important consideration. Given that (on the basis of this article) I would consider the security risk posed by this object negligible, it would seem to me that the state has done itself a disservice, and harmed its greater interests (justice) which would have been better served by allowing the man to testify. Nothing like alowing a person to bring a weapon in where ther is a congergation of criminals like a court house. He may not be a risk but there are a large number of people in that building that are.
