  1. For the rappelrs They already make give all our information submit a photo and on the day of line all our bags up for bomb dogs to go through. Once that is done we can't leave the site without being subjected to search at the public gates. They have national guards on every shuttle bus. SO this one time at band camp..... 2. Blame it on the big 6 studios, their last deal was 25 million per year and the latest deal jumped to 300 million so Netflix had to separate business to protect the other side if this new pricing kills it. SO this one time at band camp..... "Of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most."

  4. Maybe its my bad luck in the past I have zipper blow out things crushed and luggage cut But I now swear by my pelican case, It has a huge gouge in it that would have broken or damaged any thing else, It has sat for 30 min on the ramp when a thunderstorm moved in and all the workers cleared the ramp leaving the luggage cart out there. This is why I don't trust luggage handlers http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ijHC3hZclSY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uRFcbWdn360 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QLOHtHve_u8 SO this one time at band camp..... 6. ...and round up the usual suspects: "The campaign to ban cluster munitions gained momentum after the 2006 war between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon." In other words, let's beat up Israel, let's beat up Israel, let's do it for the children." UXOs are a fact of life. Munitions are supposed to go off. Quality control being what it is, some of them don't. Please see recent news where flooding in North Korea has resulted in wooden mines floating down into South Korea. A 48 year-old man was killed the other day, and a 25 year-old wounded. The South Korean military has found a lot of these recently. Maybe all the whiners on this forum should spend a year or two in a place where there is some real danger (like some of us [read: me] have). Might give some real perspective. mh . I have been in Cambodia and Bosnia and have seen first hand the damage of UXO and anti personal mines. The fact that to this day decades latter land in a long list of countries is not usable and injuries still happening is disgusting and there is no need for those types of weapons. Fact is that UXO and anti personal mines cost small amounts to manufacture compared to the long term cost of human life civilian, loss of crop producing land and expense of removal. Just Living in a place of danger for a year or two is one thing but having to live there and raise children, find work, run a business and carry out day to day life is another. What bothers me more is we go through all this security crap at airports and here is a guy flying the plane and no one ever bothered to check his credentials. SO this one time at band camp..... 14. Yep and I don't have a problem with that at all. It doesn't mean there is a flaw in the Canadian system. Is shows that if he would have been covered for the procedure recommended by the doctor, but with him being in a position of wealth he was free to get a 2nd opinion with the answer HE wanted and chose the type procedure that was not recommended or covered SO this one time at band camp..... 15. Not if the Risks are higher and it's not as effective. The rates of stroke are higher in the minimally invasive procedure he had done the the repair to the valve is not as effective. That's why the doctor doesn't offer or recommended it. SO this one time at band camp..... "Of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most."

  17. Well here is an update on the surgery he wanted a procedure his doctor didn't recommend or offer for male in his condition so he went shopping for the procedure he wanted. http://www.healthzone.ca/health/newsfeatures/article/770560--u-s-surgery-let-premier-avoid-scar-doctor-says?bn=1 An international expert on heart repair says he would rarely recommend the type of heart surgery Newfoundland Premier Danny Williams received earlier this month in Miami because its only long-term benefit is cosmetic. Dr. Thierry Mesana, chief of cardiac surgery at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, said Tuesday he would consider offering the "minimally invasive" procedure only to young women hoping to avoid a chest scar. The mitral valve repair Williams received Feb. 4 involves surgeons making a 5-centimetre incision on the side of the chest, near the armpit. The traditional method requires a 10-centimetre incision in the middle of the chest and cutting through the breastbone, or sternum. Mesana issued a statement saying a survey published last month by the Society of Thoracic Surgeons expressed "caution" about the less invasive procedure because the rate of complications – strokes in particular – is higher. "Many world-renowned experts do not advocate it," the statement said. "It is done in Canada, but again, with caution." However, Mesana confirmed there are short-term advantages, including a more rapid recovery, less need for blood transfusions and less likelihood of an irregular heartbeat after surgery. Hugues Jeanmart, a cardiac surgeon at the Montreal Heart Institute, and nearby Sacré Coeur Hospital, disagreed with Mesana, saying the less invasive surgery is as safe and effective as traditional methods, with fewer complications. As well, he said the advantages of the procedure, which has been around since the 1990s, are more pronounced than Mesana suggests, particularly when it comes to recovery. "(Patients) have less pain, they have less chance of bleeding (and) the risk of having a chest infection is very, very low," Jeanmart said. "The patient can leave the hospital and, as soon as they're home, they can do what they want." Recovery from the larger chest incisions, known as sternotomies, typically takes about six to eight weeks because more time is needed for bones to heal. Williams, 60, has said his doctors told him he would be offered only full or partial sternotomies. SO this one time at band camp..... "Of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most."
  18. Good thinking. Of all the stuff one should avoid in checked baggage, I think THE PLAGUE should be high on the list. ...of course, it would be a good way to pay back those Baggage Monkeys. I'm thinking a bag specially designed to break open and dump white flour all over the place would be entertaining. or the container of killer bees SO this one time at band camp..... 21. If health care system is so great in the US then why do some people travel out of the US for procedures? Why do some people travel out of their City or state? people want the best and some can afford it. In medicine doctors that are best in their field are all over the world no one country has the market corned on the top specialist in every aspect of medicine. I can at least say living in Canada I will not be facing bankruptcy because someone in my family had to be treated in emerg or have to chose to delay seeing a doctor because of cost. Our system is not perfect but it dose work. SO this one time at band camp..... "Of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most."
  22. I flew back on Jan 4th from the US to Canada and they only asked if it had compressed gas in it. I forgot one of my hook knifes on my rig and that went through as well. This was traveling through Newark I was caught up in the mass BS hysteria security breach and spent the Night there after they kicked all people out of the secure area and had to go through security again. Pp till this week going from Canada you could not have any carry on other then a small purse because of the underwear bomber. SO this one time at band camp..... 25. I have my gear insured under my house insurance so that covered and the Pelican hard case can take almost any abuse the luggage monkeys can throw at it. I am even more happy I have a it as the return home from Z-hill with the latest air incident they are only allowing one carry on and My laptop for work is worth more to me then my rig. I'd like to hear any ones travel experience this week of trying to take a rig as carry on. SO this one time at band camp..... "Of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most."
