I only gave the rating a 4 out of 5 because I was being very strict in my judgement. This may be an old design but I love this chute for sooo many reasons. First, its very controllable meaning its glide rate is somewhat flat so you can get back from a bad spot (important where I jump ) Second, it dives like crazy, and the front riser pressure is NOT bad at all! Third, the openings arent as bad as I've read, and I bought mine used from 2000 and it was made by Precison which are supposed to be the worst opening ones. Ok the Only thing that needs to be mentioned in a negative manner is the power of the flare and the Very end. Im used to my x-fire2 and when Im skimming the ground a mere inches above, I always had enough left to pop them that extra couple of inches and get a little extra lift. I dont with the FX my last landing I was doing what i always do cruising with my knees bent at an altitude of 6 inches and boom.. No extra lift I fell and wasnt hurt but its important to know its an older design and you have to get used to landing it as such. Hope this helps! I think the FX is the best x-braced chute to get when your like me and your just entering that spectrum of canopy. PS Im 170 ( 190 out the door) and I have a FX99 so Im not quite loading it at 2.0

Couldnt have said it better myself. You can swoop that x-fire as good as a Katana but you will be glad you have that flatter glide when you need to get back from a bad spot.And as far as openings go you'll love the x-fire !

Hey Dave, sorry, I was keeping my x-fire 109 and getting rid of my 2nd main ( stilletto 120 ) in my other rig. I love that x-fire sooo much. I was actually looking to find a 2nd one myself, it seems every size is out there used except the 109. Blues, Mike

Im thinking of buying a used fx 99 in the classifieds. I would put it in my 2nd rig. The container is a 1997 javlin NJ, it can hold up to a 120 size in it, woould the FX 99 fit? thanks Mike

Ok I want to go jumping tomorow but heres the catch, theres only 4 tandems comming out tomorow(I call to make sure theres a bunch of tandems to keep the planes in the air) so I WANT ALL fun jumpers to be out tommorow so I'll have a nice full day...... So now who's going to be there?

Ok so Ive been to the ER 2wice this week and the doc, had an edoscopy and my stomach is in bad shap ( I knew that ) so Im going to cook from now on and I need acid friendly diets, anyone have any?? Im seeing more and more ( ex.on the science channel )that scientist are drawing conlusions that prove God exists rather than the opposite. Just yest. I watched one such show saying when you break down a strand of DNA and find all the sub structures their conclusion is that a programer ( creator) is more likely at hand rather than something that happened at random.

I saw your profile so since you ride, heres what I always did, its cheap, it impresses the girl and you can just be yourselves and hang out. I always took them for a ride on my motorcycle to an ice place grabbed a large ice for her ( why not splurge?) and take a walk. Always worked for me

Hey I know, How about the PARENTS!! The kids should be punished after all a lot of unsupervised kids at that age never did what they did. The teachers should also be held accountable. Now the parents who ultimatly can tell their child what to do should be the most responsible.

In my opinion even though everyone isnt leaning toward Plasma anymore I say It is a good choice if money is an issue. they say they burn out after a certain amount of viewing so if your going to leave it on most of the day forget it. However if you only watch tv a few hrs a day I think its the best choice. Think about it Noone nowandays keeps a TV more than 9 or 10 yrs right? So why not save 500 bucks or so. chances are that DLP or LCD will be outdated soon enough and the Pic on the plasma is great.
