Your resignation letter should be short and to the point. State you enjoyed your time there and you appreciate what you have learned. Give a termination date and thats it. Only say you have accepted a position with another company or you are taking another position for personal growth etc. If the decision is monetary tell them that. They might make it worth your while to stay. normally I would say only give 2 weeks. Alot of employers walk you out or put you on terminal leave after you give notice.
