Its not surprising there wasnt "alot" of damage. By the way, The wing that was hit was luckily under construction. So it was pretty much empty. It wasnt as bad as it could have been. Just started jumping at Orange on sunday. Seems like a great place to jump. Alot of really good freefliers. I was the only low timer there except for a few students and alot of tandems. A guy there is offering some freefly coaching with video for just his slot. That tells you alot about that place right there. Everyone I met is friendly and willing to help. Tent camping is free. I think I heard there is a waiting list for trailer spots. Not really sure though. Wildcard can tell you alot more about the DZ than I can. I'm just giving you my first impressions. When are you moving to N. VA?

I missed 2 loads because I didnt know how to pack... My own fault. but its funny when you have packers "working" that wont pack a rig. I offered $10 a pack and no dice.. lmao. I guess packing a new ZP sucks that bad. and no i'm not a dick like I am on here.

I went through a packing class 6 months ago and packed a rig which I jumped. Thats the only one I packed and most of the details have escaped me. I'll probably end up buying pack like a pro. I Was just hoping there were packing videos on the web. If there were, this thread could be of use to others in the future as well.

I have a brand new rig and packers at my DZ avoid it like the plague. I need to learn to pack. Do you guys have any links to Packing instruction videos? I could wait till I got back next week but I would like to learn and practice at home so I dont have to worry about bothering people at the dz.

I would never learn my lesson. My kevlar was knocked off a few times because i wouldnt tighten it completely. Comfort was more important than safety at the time i suppose lol. It would just end up around my neck... I was always torn between putting the kevlar back on and rubbing the riser burns on my neck....

Wrong... Combat is mostly sitting around waiting for combat to happen, go on patrol, whatever... There is simply to much time and to much testosterone to ignore the sex factor. You are giving people to much credit.. Which is fine if you want to write a halmark card but in combat situations shit has to get done. The sex factor must be eliminated all together in combat. That means removing women and homosexuals.

that sounds very nice and dramatic but its just not the way it is... Marines and soldiers get pumped when they destroy the enemy... There is no time to feel sorry for them.. The only proof you would have access to are some of the videos of combat on the web. The guys would light up a vehicle or a group of insurgents or call for fire and they would cheer after they killed them or destroyed the vehicle or building they had targeted. It would be much harder for a man to watch a woman die in combat than it would to see one of his buddies go down.. I dont know why. Its just the way it is. No, Women do not belong in combat. No way, no how... I've seen female soldiers pushed through their training to meet quotas. While I was in a leg unit pretty much every woman that would participate in a ruck march would end up doing most of it on the back of a truck. Or one of the guys would carry their gear in hopes of getting some. If a woman is placed in an environment with that much testosterone they will become a disturbance. Focus would end up on them rather than completing the mission. Hence why fags arent allowed in the military... Not because of religion or anything else.. Its because you cant have people fighting and fucking at the same time. Ask anyone that spent any amount of time in an all Male hard charging unit and ask them what they noticed after they got back to a mixed gender leg unit... You might be surprised what you hear.
