  1. I have a 190 Hornet, and LOVE it. I have not had a single problem with it. It opens nice and scoots around the sky great. It also packs up nice. There are colored tabs where the lines terminate at the canopy that make sorting your line groups during pro packing easy. The landings I have had are fabulous. Once I figured out the canopies flaring characteristics (opened higher than normal and played around) I have been able to land standing up consistently. The Hornet is a great canopy provided that it is sized appropriately for your skill level. Kevin Blue Skies and Stand-up Landings!!!!!!
  2. I have an Infinity, and love it. The riser covers are bomber and have never opened prematurely on my rig. I bought mine used, and it fits me perfectly, it is so much better than the rental stuff I was using before. I get many compliments on the rig and how good it looks. (I say thanks but I didn't get it because it looks good, I got it because it works great !!!) If I ever need to get another harness, it will be an Infinity. (This thing is built like a tank and I don't think I will need to replace it anytime soon) All I can say is thanks Kelly, you have a great product and a loyal customer!! Kevin Blue Skies and Stand-up Landings!!!!!!
  3. I ended up with a reserve ride on my first tandem. It seems that the fabric in the main was bad. We blew out 3 cells. Talk about a bunch of beer on that one. 1st Tandem, 1st Skydive, and 1st reserve ride. Blue Skies and Stand-up Landings!!!!!!
  4. Gravity Gear and BadDog Services get my vote for outstanding service, good prices and taking care of their customers. I have done business with Paragear, but all they did for me was ship me my Neptune. Bonnie and Dave both went well out of their way to assist me and ensure that I received the gear that suited my needs but also ensured that I was getting the right gear for my experience level. I cannot praise them enough for what they have done for me. Blue Skies and Stand-up Landings!!!!!!
  5. Hey Joe You said the "F" word, you know that means more BEER! Congratulations on getting your solo wings, now go out have a blast and be SAFE!!! Kevin Blue Skies and Stand-up Landings!!!!!!
  6. Skydiving for me is much more than a weekend throwing myself out of an aircraft. I see it much like when I was a kid waiting to go fishing with my dad. The anticipation is almost overwhelming. Skydiving is more than the jump, it is the people that you meet, the lifelong friends that you will make, the absolutely beautiful sights you experience, and for me the most important thing skydiving has done is to bolster confidence in my abilities. I was, as a child, extremely afraid of heights. I couldn't even get on a ladder without getting queasy. Skydiving has shown me that I can conquer my fear, and believe me, that was one sweet victory. Blue Skies and Stand-up Landings!!!!!!
  7. Hey Drew Enjoyed having the chance to jump with you!! Sorry I blew the three way on Sunday. If you get a chance to come back PM me and we will set something up!! Take care and Blue Skies. Kevin Blue Skies and Stand-up Landings!!!!!!
  8. Hey Steve I don't know how it works for tandem instruction, but when I went to get my physical for my pilots license I failed the eye exam, I had to do a check ride with an FAA official that certified I was able to fly. I have wondered if my eyesight would restrict me getting a tandem rating as well. Kevin Blue Skies and Stand-up Landings!!!!!!
  9. Hey Max I got a case of Yuengling here for ya, ya got to gome get it though!!! Blue Skies and Stand-up Landings!!!!!!
  10. That is very cool for you to do!! Mine are: Inspect my gear from top to bottom at the beginning of my jump day, to include dissassembling the three ring and massaging the webbing. Participated in all of the activities at safety day. (did the hanging harness twice!!) Asking for canopy control advice from the S&TA. I get three gear checks before I exit the plane, one on the ground, one before I board, and one at altitude!! Oh yea, learning how to skydive!!! Blue Skies and Stand-up Landings!!!!!!
  11. Another "A.I.D.S" Victim! (thats "Airport Induced Divorce Syndrome") Glad to have ya back in the sport. Have fun and be safe!! Blue Skies and Stand-up Landings!!!!!!
  12. Fantastic Glad you and your wife were able to have such a memorable jump. Congratulations to you both
  13. Great job, now you can enjoy your jumps. Be safe and have fun!!
  14. Blue Skies and Stand-up Landings!!!!!!
  15. I read a warning lable on a helmet on the way to altitude that said "This helmet is not designed to protect your head from injury". So why call it a helmet, just call it a hard hat. Blue Skies and Stand-up Landings!!!!!!
  16. This is a very good helmet. I like being able to leave it on my head on the way to altitude and just flip the visor down when the door opens. The ski boot style visor retainer is very secure and easy to operate, even with gloves on. The only downside to this helmet is that your upward view is restricted when you open it up. I just leave it closed until I land. Great helmet, try it you will love it!!!
  17. ROTFLMAO!!! Blue Skies and Stand-up Landings!!!!!!
  18. Read FAR 105. It is in the SIM. The cloud clearance requirements are there so if there is an aircraft under the clouds (since you cant see it) you dont slam into them on your way down. Blue Skies and Stand-up Landings!!!!!!
  19. After two beautiful days of jumping at Raeford Parachute Center this weekend, I finished up all of the requisites for my B license. Thanks to all y'all for the help and encouragement
  20. I wait until the end of the day because I stay pretty amped up after each jump and cant write worth crap After the last jump of the day and I get my rig packed up I have calmed down enough to write legibly. Blue Skies and Stand-up Landings!!!!!!
  21. Para-Gear has them. Kevin Blue Skies and Stand-up Landings!!!!!!
  22. I jump because there is no better way to relieve work stress than to throw yourself out of a plane at 13,500 feet, fly by yourself for 55 seconds, land, pack, and repeat. Makes you forget about the bad days at work and feel ALIVE again. Kevin Blue Skies and Stand-up Landings!!!!!!
  23. First Reserve ride was my very first skydive. I did a tandem, and when the main deployed, it blew up. Tore two 5 foot holes between cells and several other smaller ones as well. Kevin Blue Skies and Stand-up Landings!!!!!!
  24. Mike Have you jumped it yet?? How do you like the Sabre2? Nice looking container
