Jose Padilla may be a piece of crap who may or may not have trained to be a terrorist, but he is still an American citizen and entitled to all the legal protection that entails. If you've been under a rock for the past three years, Padilla was arrested coming back into the U.S. after (allegedly) training to be a terrorist and planning to detonate a dirty bomb. I'm not posting to debate the facts or merits of the charge, but rather the fact the he has been held as an "enemy combatant" in military custody and denied all the civilian legal proceedings normally expected of a U.S. citizen. I hope the Supreme Court picks up his case. (http://www.cnn.com/2005/LAW/12/28/scotus.padilla/index.html)

i represent the views of the common poster, or the jonses, of the world. however jones was already taken, so i stuck a zero in there.

Quoted from this (http://www.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/americas/12/27/canada.crime.ap/index.html) article: "It's a sign that the lack of gun laws in the U.S. is allowing guns to flood across the border that are literally being used to kill people in the streets of Toronto," Assuming he is right about the lack of gun laws and the rampant illegal importation into Canada... how is the U.S. responsible for Canada's lack of border control and/or customs regulations?

the gem in this thread is that the quote in the first post is about not judging those for the amount of risk they are (or aren't) willing to take, yet the poster makes such a judgement in the very first sentence.

Sometimes, REVENGE is sweet, and restores faith in the system...

Fixed it for you. I did that on purpose so you could feel as superior as I do. -
How much movement do you get under the drogue? I realize you can rotate easily, but what about actual movement? Disregarding drogue entanglement, could two tandems do RW?

Age limit on Dropzone.com do you think there should be one?
j0nes replied to pacncathyjr's topic in The Bonfire
It is crap like this that upset me. It is your parent's responsibilty to raise you. If (in their mind) that includes limiting your exposure to dropzone.com, THEY should be responsible to setting those limits, not the website. -

if the guy is going to toss around nickel words like caprice and megalomaniac, you'd think he could "regardless" correct..... -

if "regardless" means without regard, what does "irregardless" mean? -
this thread is very 1996, the era of the "new" internet. in fact, i think this was one of the first pieces junk-forwards I ever recieved.

I'm glad to read that the Saudis are finally doing something about the Wahabbi extremists that are taking over their country and endangering our oil supply. Of course, they had to wait until the Wahabbis started talking garbage about their monarchy, but hey, it's a start.... http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/4504530.stm

I'm very sorry to hear about your father's condition. My grandfather had severe emphysema as well. It was really rough watching the guy that used to throw me around in the pool as a child get winded shuffling 25 feet to the bathroom. As morbid and crappy as this sounds, make the most of the time with him now because it will only get worse from here.

IF you think so, why?
