  1. EEWWWEEEEEEEE!!! Strictly speaking though, the placenta is only a temporary organ, and doesn't belong to the mother as much as it does the baby! Is it acceptable to substitute peanut oil in this recipe? Greg
  2. Noooo! If it smells like that run away! Run fast and run far!!! Greg
  3. O.k., Now that was just rude. Made my nuts hurt just reading about it. And not all guys have a problem with cleanliness, thank you very much. Why just the other day a young woman was telling me that mine tastes just like...oh...sorry. Guess I got sidetracked. Now, back to making something with genitals (other than babies). At least guys have organs you can work with. What could you possibly make from a woman's? I've never heard of a single recipe for female reproductive organs. Not one! On the other hand, I have heard it said that Bridgestone should make tires out of it though, cause you just can't wear it out. Probably have every cat in the neighborhood chasing your car though! Greg
  4. We'll make a good team then. I'll never be rich and famous, but I'll let you beat people up for me! Well share the wealth brother, kick down with some pics! Greg
  5. Hi Pam, and thanks! This was definately one of those "life changing" experiences. The kind where everything seems surreal, yet so crystal clear at the same time. I came away from this with an entirely new appreciation for my son. I've always loved him with all my heart and soul, but now I see him so much differently. I don't know why, but it's a lot easier to understand his point of view, and to realize that he's growing up, and to accept him as the individual that he is molding himself into. I guess the thought of losing him made me appreciate who he is. That's something I just "didn't get" before... I feel like I'm rambling, and I don't have the words to adequately explain what I feel. I hope I've at least touched on it though, and that maybe someone else who reads this will "get it", without having to have the kind of rude awakening I did. Greg
  6. Sure you do...you just want to read it off a check, lol! BTW...what the hell was that right below the sentence that I copied and pasted, hmmm??? Could it be....A SUBLIMINAL MESSAGE??? If so, lets hope it works! Greg
  7. I've heard of ESI, sounds like they have an interesting course of study. In reading articles by Leroy thompson, it seems to me that the hardest thing about the profession would be the lifestyle it requires- i.e.- living out of motel rooms, dress requirements, and running on someone elses schedule. When do you graduate? Greg
  8. Damn JT, thats exactly 3 jumps at Skydance! Who'd pay that on purpose for 1 bungee jump? To answer my own question...obviously not a skydiver! Greg
  9. Ouch! Where do you go, and what's your major? (CJ maybe?) Greg
  10. Normally I'd say no, but when I seriously think about it, it'd depend on what I was jumping from and the altitude. If you've got a hot air balloon, a rig, and 9 or 10k of altitude I'd do it. From 100' AGL...are you outta your freakin mind??? Greg
  11. Excellent idea Clay! I'll print them tonight and get them posted around the neighborhood tomorrow. Greg
  12. Thanks Clay, the driver should hope that if they're found at all, it's by the police. Greg

    New Appliance

I'll take the 5th on that question! Greg ps- if you're not old enough for POPS, then you're still a youngster!
  14. I agree with Clay. Sounds like bullshit to me! If the charge was indeed for a signature only, then I would consult the DZO and find out if he condones this practice. If he doesn't, then see if he can get your money back for you, and have a "talk" (actually, where I come from we call it an "asswhuppin"!) with the offender. If the DZO condones this type of thing, then find a new place to jump, and call and discuss the whole situation with the USPA. Greg
  15. Hi JT- I have the remnants of the mirror in my garage, and somewhere there is a black, full size, lowered pick-up missing one on the passenger side. unfortunately, that's the best description Nick could give. Re: [Dove] Hi Dove, I'm not sure what their policy is in a case like this. That's a good question. Being a mechanic (Caterpillar, not auto) in Reno for the last 18 years gives me the advantage of knowing every industrial and heavy equipment parts man in this area though. Between those guys, they know nearly every aftermarket and dealer parts man in town. The remnants of the mirror wil be circulated via parts runners tomorrow, and everyone will be looking for a black lowrider p/u looking to match up a missing mirror. Thanks to everyone for your concern and good thoughts, and for those of you who've had similar experiences, my heart goes out to you. I've never felt anything worse in my life! Nick is doing well. His arm will be in a sling for awhile, but it looks like there may be no permanent damage. He started getting the feeling back in his hand yesterday afternoon (he had been numb, to just above the wrist since being hit), so I'm hopeful that he'll be back to normal in a few weeks. Give someone you care about a hug today. Greg

    Daughters

I can understand Danna's frustration at having her name mispronounced. Even with a name as simple as Greg, some people will still manage to call me Craig, or worse yet, Graig. Wanna see me go bonkers? Just call me "Graig", lol! I think it's fine if she would like to go by Jordan. It's a pretty name for a pretty young girl!

    Michele's kitty

Michele, I'm glad to hear that Bitch kitty is o.k.- And she's not nearly as mean as her name implies! Sending mice and beans for her recovery, (or was that Charlotte?). Greg
  18. Most of the regulars on these forums have patiently listened to my ranting about the trials of raising a 14 year old son, and many have kindly offered their advice and contemporary wisdom on the subject. Tonight, I hope to return the favor with a new perspective, and appreciation for the gift of having a child to love. Shortly after nightfall tonight, I received a call that my son had been the victim of a pedestrian hit and run. I don't remember much of the conversation after that, except that he was at Washoe medical center being treated for injuries. All the way to the hospital I thought of him, and how he has changed my life forever. Where would I be without him? Suddenly our differences; his hairstyle, the way he dressed, his music...all were insignificant and meaningless. I realized how he has helped me to grow, and learn, and see life with new eyes, as he has grown himself. I realized that he is the one constant in my life that keeps me grounded and rational. He is literally my reason for living. I thought of how much he has grown in his 14 years, and how much introspection he has offered. Things through the years that I never would have given a second thought, but for him. When I arrived at the E.R., I was relieved to find that he was alert and talkative, with only an injured arm. He was walking to the local Wendys with a friend when he steped off the sidewalk to cross the street. A pick-up truck had swerved nearly four feet over the "fog line" and clipped him with the side-view mirror. The impact ripped the entire mirror and bracket from the truck, and threw Nick to the ground. After x-rays and a thorough exam, the only damage was a severely bruised right arm. A second later, or a step further, and my son would've been dead tonight. The police never caught the driver. Tonight I thank God for the gift of having a son to love, and my message is this: Parents, tell your children you love them every day, and show them. Spend every minute you can with your child and realize the gift you have been given. Grow with your child, be tolerant, and ask yourself; where would I be without them? I will never, EVER, take my son for granted again! Greg
  19. Mr. Jones gets a call from the hospital. They tell him his wife has been in a terrible car accident. He rushes to the hospital, runs in to the ER and says his wife's been in an accident. They tell him Dr. Smith is handling the case. They page the doctor. He comes out to the waiting room to see a terribly upset Mr. Jones. "Mr. Jones?" the doctor asks. "Yes sir, what's happened? How is my wife?" The doctor sits next to him and says, "Not good news. Your wife's accident resulted in two fractures of her spine." "Oh my God !" says Mr. Jones, "what will be her prognosis?" "Well, Mr. Jones, her vital signs are stable. However, her spine is inoperable. She'll have no motor skills or capability. This means you will have to feed her." Mr. Jones begins to sob. "And you'll have to turn her in her bed every two hours to prevent pneumonia." Mr. Jones begins to wail and cry loudly. "Then, of course," the doctor continued, "you'll have to diaper her as she'll have no control over her bladder and of course these diapers must be changed at least five times a day." Mr. Jones begins to shake as he cries, sobs, and wails. The doctor continues: "And you'll have to clean up her feces on a regular basis as she'll have no control over her sphincters. Her bowel will engorge whenever and quite often I'm afraid, Of course you must clean her immediately to avoid accumulation of the putrid effluent she'll be emitting regularly." Now Mr. Jones is convulsing sobbing uncontrollably and beginning to wither off the bench into a sobbing pitiful mass. Just then Dr. Smith reaches out his hand and pats Mr. Jones on the shoulder. "Hey, come on man, I'm just fucking with you, she's dead !" G. Jones "I've never been quarantined. But the more I look around, the more I think it might not be a bad idea."
  20. Thumb-screws would be easier to take than waiting for new equipment! G. Jones "I've never been quarantined. But the more I look around, the more I think it might not be a bad idea."
  21. What's the difference in construction and/or materials between a main, and a reserve? I know that a reserve has to be TSO'd, and a main doesn't, but aside from that? Could a reserve be jumped as a main? If so, could one reasonably expect the same type of wear, at the same number of jumps as a comparable main (same material, etc...). Just curious. These are the kind of thoughts on a bored field mechanics mind on those long drives between jobs. Greg
  22. Damn! And to think I bitch about having to drive 2-1/2 hrs to the DZ! G. Jones "I've never been quarantined. But the more I look around, the more I think it might not be a bad idea."
  23. Good luck Lummy, and > Greg
