Never jumped there, but it is an amazing experience as everyone else here will tell you because we have 10's, 100's, and thousands of jumps... just listen to your instructor, trust him/her and jump! Let us know how it goes Puttin' some stank on it. ----Hellfish #707----

Ok I know what some of you may be saying upon reading the subject line and I've heard rumors about the tunnel in Vegas and that its not that great and blah blah blah. Anyways, i FINALLY passed my AFF4 yesterday after three tries and got passed onto 5. But i still have a slight unintentional left turn that my JM's cant figure out, they think either one of my knees is dipping down or my legs are too wide. But other than that, the jump was excellent said my JM yesterday. I was stable and not spinning out of control (compared to the previous two). So with that, he said if i could get tunnel time, then i would be awesome once i got out. So i told him I'm going to Vegas next week and i said what i had heard about it, he said book it anyways, tunnel time is tunnel time. What do you guys think? I talked to Flyaway Tunnel in Vegas today and they have a coaching package where its just 1-on-1 in the tunnel and i get 5 flights and video for a total of 5 hours. I thought it was a good deal, or at least a good investment for my future in skydiving.... Do you guys think this is a good idea or should I not even bother? I dont have the money to go to Perris or Orlando, and they are still building the one here in Colorado, so Vegas is my top option at this point... Puttin' some stank on it. ----Hellfish #707----

I was talking to a few of JM's at my dropzone and they you probably shouldnt go with full face helmets until you have at least 50 jumps....have you guys heard that or agree with it? 2 years ago when I worked at Cedar Point in Ohio. It was a really bad storm and my coaster that I worked on was shut down obviously. Then the people on the platform screamed and we all jumped and when we heard this loud crack and huge flash. It had struck the pavement right outside of our ride queue line. DAMNIT DAMNIT DAMNIT DAMNIT.....I did it again.....except i countered and stopped it and went the other way, JM tried to stop but hit so hard that i was on my back and flipped back over and went into again, was pretty much in a spin still at 6K, but pulled with no line twists......never in my life have i not wanted to be 6'5 and my legs so long.....pretty fuckin pissed, not gonna lie.... But I guess i have to stop thinking about it and my JM wants me to come back and do it again tomorrow, which I am.....Level 4 is kicking me square in the balls right now, and to say the least it is not enjoyable.... My mom flipped her shit when she found out I had started AFF, everytime i tell her about it, she tells me "she doesnt want to hear about it." I've given her details, facts, and invited her to watch me jump, but she said she can't safely watch her "baby" jump out a plane for fun falling towards the earth... Hey guys, so I'm considering helmets to buy and I came across Bonehead Composites. A few of my JM's at my DZ recommended them too. Does anyone know if they're any good or are all helmets pretty much the same. Specifically, I was looking at the either The Havok or Mamba....what do you guys think? Don't worry about it bro...just relax, remember the dive flow, ARCH, and enjoy the ride....oh and don't forget to pull....you'll be fine brosef... I am planning on making my first jump this coming weekend (AFF 1). How much time can i go without jumping between jumps for the aff course? ----------------------------------------------------------- Since I'm a student myself, i figured I could answer this, at my DZ, if your jumps are 30 days or more, then you are automatically dropped down to a level 3 or the level prior to whichever you completed. If 60 days passes, you must take a refresher ground school course and restart at level 3 or 2 prior. If 120 days passes, you have to do the entire ground school training and jumps all over again.... But thats just my dropzone, i think thats how it goes.....one of these other guys can answer the questions about A licensing and freefly..... Have a good first jump!
