hey, that guy pulled a Lutz! -
oh ok...my sister lives in Seattle and the last time I was up there visiting I constantly heard people talking about "yoo-dub". Didn't have the first idea what was going on.
-
is that the one they call the "yoo-dub" or something like that?

Dusting off the RW skills in GSL #2, baby! After that, I figure I'll either be drinking in jubilent celebration, or drinking in utter dispair.

Wearing gloves and finding the pud
panzwami replied to fmmobley's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
yeah, football receivers' tackified gloves (Neumans, Saranac, etc.) or standard batting gloves are great. Just enough protection to keep your hands from freezing, but the palms are very thin and don't prevent you from being able to feel the handles. -
sheesh....I didn't think anyone in real life actually used that term.

Cool man, welcome aboard. Now get with a couple coaches and get that A card knocked out, so you can check out DZ's all over the world. You ain't seen nothin' yet.

Slow or not, this place still kicks ass!

ok, so I gotta ask, what is SO BAD about Atlanta? I moved down here from DC for college, moved back to DC for work after graduation, but missed the ATL so much I returned after less than a year.
-
I graduated from college in May 2003, and I just started the fourth job I've had since then. 4 jobs in 2 years, ranging from 2 months to just over a year, spanning everything from commodities trading to IT security. If you don't like what you are doing, make a change. Either try to rearrange your current job to suit your liking, or be proactive and find another one. It's all about what you want to create for yourself. And yes, I LOVE my two D-rings.

Demo jump cancelled because of a vengeful jumper

zzzzzzzing! -
another day, another conversation. Same tackhammer.
-
In this case I don't even know if that's true. Maybe that's why this is so irritating, although that's a different conversation altogether. I just care a lot about this girl and know how much this means to her and how much it kills her that he doesn't seem to care. Oh well. [/vent]

because I pulled that line from a movie...

So a good friend of mine is getting married in a few months. She's pretty hyped about the whole thing, and is already running all over town to get everything in order (normal?). Thing is, the guy (whom I already want to hit on the head with a tackhammer) is completely uninvolved. Now I understand that wedding arrangements have typically been the purview of the female half of the equation, but I mean this guy is NONEXISTANT. So it this normal?

Freeflier? RW flier? What exactly are you looking for in a DZ?

Went on first jump this past weekend.

Don't think that's too out of the ordinary. It may have come from holding your arms back in the arch the whole time. Maybe not, but I've had all kinds of new and exciting muscle soreness since I started jumping, so I don't think this is something about which to worry. And yes, you do get used to the leg straps. Keep in mind that tandem harnesses are "one size fits all", whereas a custom-fit sport harness is designed specifically for the jumper. There is a world of difference in terms of comfort. Congrats on the first jump. Only 9999 more to go... -
This is what I do.

Yeah, that's where it comes from. It's got a number of good quotes, the gold record one being the current flavor of the month. Yes, THE Bruce Dickenson.

Oh yeah, I agree with you. There's definitely a great deal of fuel for the conspiracy fire. I was more addressing the assertion that the attack itself was some sort of massive fake.
