I will be getting my container in about a month and have yet to get a reserve. How long would it take to get a 160 sq ft reserve from Performance Designs if they don't have any in stock? Also, do the same square foot reserves have different pack volumes depending on who makes them? Like, if I put on the container order form that I will have a 160 PD reserve, could a Smart 160 reserve fit fine?

Haha, I just took the main design on the Wings web page and changed the colors from red to blue, so I'm guessing you guys copied the Wings design? But if you have a similar rig post a picture of it so I can get an idea of what I'm ordering.

What do you mean? I dont like tye-dye but thought these two colors together look good, not like the typical rainbow tye-dye

I'm about to order my rig, getting new Wings container and maybe used or new main. I've been playing with the coloring program on the wings website and thought this looked good but want some other opinions. And anyone have a pic of the blue/black tye-dye in real life? Trying to see how the colors really look

Just got licensed last summer, and got to dive 6 times this winter in Aruba, St Lucia, and Curacao. On one dive in Aruba, got to swim through a wreck. I guess I wasn't suppose to since Im not wreck certified but the instructor motioned me to follow him. Hard to dive though, considering its winter and when I'm home the only close place to dive is a rock quarry

I've been training since level 7 at Xkeys and I like it alot there. Nice and smart instructors. The store they have there is great, has alot of things. Plus they have cafe, beach vollyball, pool (i think), large landing field, biplane, heli, and assortment of planes (skyvan)

Damn, little late but what the hell. My goals: -Get A and B license -Jump the heli at Xkeys -Take freefly course at either Orange or Xkeys -Somehow manage to buy rig sometime during summer -And of course stay safe

I've only been to Crosskeys and Skydive Orange so I may not have the best advise but would recommend Crosskeys if your in Jersey. I finished AFF there after my first 7 jumps as Orange and almost have my A. Only negative thing is that weather is pretty bad, especially winds. If u do go to Crosskeys I'd look at Accuweather to see wind speed and gusts (08095). I've wasted a couple days showing up when they had a hold because of weather.

I started jumping at Skydive Orange in Orange, VA about an hour and a half from DC. They are really friendly and are great instructors. Plus they jump year round

Yeah I've done the beltway thing, once by accident once for boredom. The dumbest thing I've done because of boredom...well when I was like 16 I worked at Safeway - a grocery store. It was night and very slow, so I was trying to kill time until I left. I was in back of the store, and I thought it would be fun to try to balance myself on one of those metal trucks or 'dollys' they have in back that pivot on the bottom and pick things up with. So I'm trying to balance myself by standing on the part of the dolly where you lift objects, when all of a sudden I started falling forward. I let go of the handle to try to avoid faling forward to the ground, but when I let go of the handle, all of my weight on the bottom of it flung the dolly back to its standing position and the metal handle, which was basically a 1inch metal bar, hit me in the forehead, putting a half-inch cut and making me bleed alot. Still have the scar today, and i get the weirdest looks after I tell people the story. Another time I was racing one of those large motorized metal forklifts in back, from one end to the other. I must have come close to hitting something because the next thing I remember is putting my foot down and having the several-hundred pound forklift run over my ankle. I was lucky I diidnt break anything.

Hey I was wondering what speed in mph planes would be traveling on exit? Anyone know the approx. speeds for king air, Cessna 182, twin otter, skyvan, and caravan when on the jump run? Just curious about something that hasn't come up in training

Yeah that was pretty funny when after asking them questions about hooking up with minors, that they were on camera. Some, especially that rabbi freaked out. At first I felt bad like that would suck because of their jobs and whatever, but then you think about them taking advantage of minors and IMO they deserve it.

Buy a rig Get pretty nice car, but nothing crazy (WRX or M3) Pay for grad school next year in NYC save rest for when I graduate And yeah I got the Rowhouse 'Hood also

Ok heres the deal, I have 5 more jumps until I can get my A license. I still need to take a packing class, but the guy said any time during the week is good. My question is, next Friday I am going back home to VA because we have break for school. I wont be able to jump during the break because I will be working and we are going on a vacation for a couple weeks. Do you guys think I should try to get my license before the break or wait until mid-Janurary to continue? Getting 5 jumps isn't a problem, last weekend I got 5 and could've gotten 6. I can stop by to take a packing class between finals. I dont want to take a long break (already did once for 2 months, got little rusty) but think I also shouldn't rush it. Plus, I still need 2 coach jumps so maybe one of those could by a recurrency jump after the break. Any suggestions?

Did anyone see the commercial for the new season of True Life? From what I saw they have an episode documenting skydivers. Anyone know anything about this, like where it took place and if it features anyone on here? It didnt say when it would be on but this season so not too far away. Looking forward to it

You have one right before Christmas Eve? Where do you go to school? I'm at Rutgers. Basically it depends on the professor, they can change it. Last year I was done on the 12th.

1 down, one on Monday, one next Thursday night and then one Christmas-eve-eve morning. Plus a paper and finish a project
