  1. and stewart airport is about 20 minutes from The Ranch! "Remember the First Commandment: Don't Fuck Up!" -Crusty Old Pete
  2. Less chat, more hat. Shut up and get to the ranch! "Remember the First Commandment: Don't Fuck Up!" -Crusty Old Pete
  3. GOD BLESS THE RANCH!! "Remember the First Commandment: Don't Fuck Up!" -Crusty Old Pete
  4. How much for you to autograph my copy of parachutist? Seriously, congrats Laci!! "Remember the First Commandment: Don't Fuck Up!" -Crusty Old Pete
  5. You might want to look at used equipment for your first rig. To start with you'll save a bunch of money you could spend on jumping and you won't be pissed when you scuff up your rig during a not so smooth landing. Also, you will likely want to downsize your main within 100-150 jumps, so you'll likely spend more time on your second canopy. That might be the one to buy new. Talk to your instructors about canopy sizing, etc. Good luck! "Remember the First Commandment: Don't Fuck Up!" -Crusty Old Pete
  6. My home DZ's runway is only 2500' and the otters don't even need half of it except maybe on hot humid summer days. "Remember the First Commandment: Don't Fuck Up!" -Crusty Old Pete
  7. 22 year old daughter with an 8 year old grandson! I guess this really did happen in Alabama! "Remember the First Commandment: Don't Fuck Up!" -Crusty Old Pete
  8. You are making random, unspecific allegations. You should learn to stay on topic. I guess debate skills were not stressed at that community college you dropped out of. "Remember the First Commandment: Don't Fuck Up!" -Crusty Old Pete
  9. Meaningless comment reminiscent of the new testament. Any warnings about casting stones while you're at it? "Remember the First Commandment: Don't Fuck Up!" -Crusty Old Pete
  10. "yes, you could impeach for those. However, that wasn't in the words of the original poster, just whining about high priced jump tickets." Work on your reading comprehension skills more. In true conservative style you fixated on a single line that is not the point of the post. Try comparing the subject line to the article quote, it may help a bit. Your interpretation is a crude attempt to change the venue from that hypocrite of a president to somebody whining about jump tickets. Congrats, you qualify for the White House press corps. 11. Where was that gem of knowledge in 2000? Oh, I forgot about Bush Republican laws 1-3: (1) Repeat "facts" until people think it's true; (2) wait at least 3 months before reversing your position so the public will forget what you said; (3) If called on your bullshit by the media declare the media biased against you. P.S. Hillary sucks too. "Remember the First Commandment: Don't Fuck Up!" -Crusty Old Pete
  12. When Bush first ran for president in 2000, he criticized the Clinton administration for high fuel prices and said the president must "jawbone" oil producing nations and persuade them to drop rates. At that time, oil was nearing $28 a barrel. The run-up of oil prices lately has been dramatic. (Excerpt from news article) Now jump tickets are more expensive!!! Why hasn't this asshole been impeached already? "Remember the First Commandment: Don't Fuck Up!" -Crusty Old Pete
  13. You are cleared for solo status. You can only jump with D-license holders (if cleared by your instructors and/or local S&TA), coaches, and instructors. You can not jump with your unlicensed buddy. Some DZs have the "100 jump" rule where 2 newbs are discouraged from jumping together until they can total 100 jumps between them (not to mention have A lic). Ask your instructors, they know you and your DZ's policies. "Remember the First Commandment: Don't Fuck Up!" -Crusty Old Pete
  14. Tandems and students are where the money is and are a priority always. Up jumpers WILL wait and should expect to at a cessna dz because they are not the priority. Are you about to push a tardy tandem student back a load because an U/J has a reservation? I doubt it. To quote Seinfeld, "Anybody can take a reservation, but the key is to hold the reservation." I don't see how you can reasonably expect to create a reservation system for this situation. Besides, the cessna dz is so 20th century, get a turbine already!
