  7. I don't think so but I couldn't confirm this. Telemarketers use a dialing engine that automatically calls then transfers to an operator. Most of the time they don't even see the number just a name and script associted to it. But call your local and state officials and it will end post haste. Make sure you have a name of the comapny and phonenumber if possible. BSBD Home of the Alabama Gang
  8. Due to the number of people at my DZ vs. the Farm Lets do it at the Farm for a real SHINDIG BSBD Home of the Alabama Gang
  9. I just talked to the head of our Telemarketing dept. and he said either conact DNC Solutions (on-line) or contact the local officials (DA) or even State Attorney Generals office. There are big fines involved to those that continue to call after repeatedly being told not to.Good Luck
  10. At our DZ we formed a group called the PRT (Parachute recovery team). we have tree climbing gear, chainsaws, ropes, etc. We have never lost a canopy or freebag yet. Of course we are a Cessna DZ so spots are generally easier. But I still love the looks on peoples faces when we recover thier "Lost" canopy and freebag. BSBD Home of the Alabama Gang

  14. Jumped a Diablo 190 for the first time (Beer!!!) I am used to Sabre2 150 and SharpChuter 245. I was amazed at the different flight characteristics and would appreciate any insight. Opening: Very long snivel even though flatpacked, 2 cells on each side not inflated(corrected very easily). Turns: On simple toggle turns canopy would recover slowly and then continue turn to opposite side for about 30 to 45 degrees. Could counter turn with slight toggle pressure. Did not try riser turn. Landing: Little/no wind. fairly fast approach, Canopy did not "Pick" me back up like a Sabre2 would. I know that 1 jump isn't enough to understand a canopy and was hoping that some "Elliptical" pilots could give me some explanation and/or pointers since I plan to jump this puppy some more. - Thanks in advance. AIRLINE!

By passengers flown its is Delta then American airlines Largest Fleet= I think it is still Fedex (But is that an airline?) Largest Airline in the World By Patrick Smith Q: What is the largest airline in the world? It depends on the criteria. In terms of passengers carried, the three biggest airlines in the world last year were, in order, Delta, American, and United. Delta carried 105 million passengers. American carried 78 million (prior to the TWA acquisition), and United ranked third with 75. However, both United and American have more airplanes than Delta, and thus the rankings change if you gauge via fleet size. American had the largest fleet in 2001, with 712 aircraft (again, prior to TWA). Going down the passengers-carried list, the first non-US airline to appear is Japan's All Nippon Airways, or, measuring by airplanes, British Airways. Before the breakup of the Soviet Union, Aeroflot was the perennial size champ, and at its height was roughly the size of all the major American carriers combined. It has since split into dozens of smaller independent airlines. BSBD Home of the Alabama Gang
  16. "These are things to keep in mind as a starting point when a random person asks you what canopy they should buy, whether they need an aad, etc. Certainly not the answer for everybody, but a good place to start a discussion about a person's preferences. "-Nathaniel Why would I keep that article in mind when recommending a canopy or AAD. I would look at the individuals actual performance and experience not some study in financial risk taking to determine what my recommendation will be. BSBD Home of the Alabama Gang
  17. That I waited so long to meet my "family".
  18. Great narrative! BSBD Home of the Alabama Gang
  19. Who does that seller work for? Check out the other items that he/she is selling. BSBD Home of the Alabama Gang
  20. Agreed. It does not show any correlation between financial risk taking and physical risk taking. (Yawn)
