  1. And many of people that have TRUSTED that science have died because of its flaws. Airplanes (product of science)...FAIL, parachutes (product of science.....FAIL. My faith is that I know enough that science (people based) is not perfect and always right. You appear to have a complete misunderstanding of the difference between science and technology. If you can't fix it with a hammer, the problem's electrical.
  2. Seriously the exception, not the rule. Spending $250K to entertain/conference with an $18 million account is effective use of corporate aircraft. You'd hate to see what I spend on much smaller accounts in much sleazier places
  3. What gives you the right to speak for "most of us"? Seems to me that the fuss over executive perks contradicts you. Also the label "high talent" seems at odds with the needs of their corporations to accept taxpayer bailouts. If you can't fix it with a hammer, the problem's electrical.
  4. Poster Mom for abortions. If you can't fix it with a hammer, the problem's electrical.
  5. So they've finally discovered Bud Light in India. Big deal. If you can't fix it with a hammer, the problem's electrical.
  6. it's not cheap or fast, is it? How much to eliminate a dirtbag, tall tree, rope....low cost If you don't care whether you execute the right person or some unlucky innocent, cheap and fast will work. Florida also has this profound belief that the government can run a criminal justice system that never makes a mistake. If you can't fix it with a hammer, the problem's electrical.
  7. Like Republican policies are good for the country. Have you read a paper recently - we're in a huge RECESSION that Obama inherited. Have you looked into the true causes? Or is it just easier to blame Bush? The Buck Stops in the Oval Office. If you can't fix it with a hammer, the problem's electrical.
  8. How does jetting about to sporting events or ski towns justify a corporation having a jet to improve its bottom line? The CEOs are just ripping off their stockholders when they do this. Look, I know you think the evil corps should give their money to you. But you still would not be happy cause somebody will still have more thatn you. Anybody making more money that you is bad. I understand that. I just dont agree with you. I believe I am well into the top 5%, and have been for at least 20 years. You? All I ask is that the super rich stop raping the country. If you can't fix it with a hammer, the problem's electrical.

  10. Takes the 5th when asked if he knowingly shipped tainted peanuts. www.latimes.com/features/health/la-na-peanut12-2009feb12,0,2288068.story And these people call for less government regulation! If you can't fix it with a hammer, the problem's electrical.
  11. It's not cheap, either. If you can't fix it with a hammer, the problem's electrical.

  13. The Bush tax cuts sure kept the economy humming along in great shape. Taxes have little to do with what got us here. Increasing taxes now, would indeed cause more problems though. The credit markets are the problem, and so far the government infusions of cash and nationalization of banks have accomplished z-e-r-o. Which is why it needs to be applied elsewhere. The f&cking bankers got us into the mess. If you can't fix it with a hammer, the problem's electrical.
  14. Maybe you should think some more until you get it right. If you can't fix it with a hammer, the problem's electrical.
  15. Maybe they've had experience (like I have) of tradespeople cutting corners and doing crummy work when not being supervised constantly. If you can't fix it with a hammer, the problem's electrical.
  16. Fixed it for you. If you can't fix it with a hammer, the problem's electrical.
  17. that's a whole different argument. WRONG. $1T is $1T. You can spend it helping Americans or killing Iraqis. Maybe if we'd spent it helping Americans we wouldn't be in the shitter right now. If you can't fix it with a hammer, the problem's electrical.
  18. You also wrote "stimulus" in your OP. Trying to redefine it now If you can't fix it with a hammer, the problem's electrical.
  19. College grant - 100% of tuition. If you can't fix it with a hammer, the problem's electrical.
  20. Obama promised tax cuts, he didn't reject them. How short (or conveniently wrong) your memory is, Mr. Rich. Bush, of course, pissed away a trillion he didn't have on a useless war in Iraq. If you can't fix it with a hammer, the problem's electrical.
  21. The Bush tax cuts sure kept the economy humming along in great shape. I hope that you are kidding...the DOW hit record highs even in the wke of 911. Are you aware that the dip in the econ shadows the Democrats taking control of the House. Mind you, they have lower approval ratings than Bush himself did! Isn't it interesting that "hope" has turned into "crisis" and "catastrophe" if the taxpayers don't cough it up." Get on board or youre not partisan! Is this his idea of reaching across the isle? What a joke! This $ will not get spent for 2 maybe 3 years...to have it rammed up the tax payers ass proves how foolish and EGO driven he really is. Our childrens children will be paying this back with interest. I think we owe it to them to make sure its done right. DONT YOU! So how many of those wonderful Bush years was the Federal budget in surplus? Bush spent $5 trillion that we didn't have. If you can't fix it with a hammer, the problem's electrical.
  22. It's an irony to see the GOP congressfolks and their supporters complaining about spending (less than) $1T to create jobs and build insfrastructure at home, when the same crew were so gung-ho about invading Iraq (which in the long term will cost us well over $1T). I suppose the $1T+ that Iraq will cost us is not inflationary If you can't fix it with a hammer, the problem's electrical.
  23. Over a million jobs lost in the last 2 months of Bush's presidency, and all you can do is whine about the Dems. I don't recall your whining so much when Bush added $5Trillion to the debt, or spent $1Trillion on a war that was totally unnecessary. Your side LOST the election - get over it. I see the stock market responded positively to the news of the bailaout. On the whole I think spending $1Trillion on the US economy is a better deal for Americans than spending $1Trillion blowing up stuff and killing people in Iraq. If you can't fix it with a hammer, the problem's electrical.
  24. Christian does not necessarily mean Creationist. news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/oxfordshire/7876680.stm Many Christians are intelligent and well educated. If you can't fix it with a hammer, the problem's electrical.
  25. Scientific American January 2009 issue devoted to evolution. Among other things, it rips apart the falsehoods about evolution propagated by the Creationists and IDers. If you can't fix it with a hammer, the problem's electrical.
