Seems like the CX100 has stiff competition from Canon's HF100 that has more pixels (2M vs 1.43M), night mode (even skydivers sometimes need nightmode), same sized screen with more buttons, and about the same size. The bitching would perhaps be reduced by having classes, alot like racing. Open class to fly whatever you brought. Production class to fly whatever has been commercially available for 6 or more months. Another thing to check on the gear side would be your bridle near the pin, if you don't have enough slack on the canopy side near the pin that will cause hesitations.
