  1. Donald Trump made crowd size relevant. Donald Trump claims crowd size is important. He constantly boasted about the size of his crowds during the primaries, he constantly boasted about the size of his crowds during the presidential campaign, and he constantly boasted about the size of the crowd he was going to get in the run up to the Inauguration. So what you are essentially moaning about is "How dare the media hold the President's own statements and priorities up to scrutiny!" This is, quite obviously, an absurd argument. Do you understand the concept of time? The inauguration happened first. Do you think the media should have a 48 hour cooling off period on reporting stories just in case something more interesting comes out later? And thanks to the chronic insecurities of the Narcissist-in-Chief it is succeeding beyond their wildest dreams. Speaking truth to power is what they're doing. The crowd size story is true. The story about the Trump campaign's brazen lies in response to the crowd size story is true. The stories weren't created by the media, they really exist. Despite all your blowviating, it doesn't change the fact that the media posted the picture before Trump responded, and that there is nothing of substance about this story other than it validates your feelings. Sorry, but it's the truth. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." Life, the Universe, and Everything
  2. Seriously? I remember the exact day when it all started, Nov, 5th, 2008. When Obama won the presidency, every liberal news anchor in America had to opine and inject his own feelings into the story. When there wasn't a huge outcry (or any out cry that there was, was labeled and racism) that was the green light..... The most recent blatant example of the tail wagging the dog was when the news anchor posted the twitter pic of Obama's 2009 inauguration side by side with Trumps inauguration. How is this relevant? Well, when was crowd size ever a story? With all of the Executive Orders going on in the VA, State Department, EPA, DHS, and the Wall, how is this relevant? Answer, it's not. The media put it out in hopes to de-lagitamize the presidency. With everything else going on this should not be a front page story. In the end, Trump is still in the White House and the media needs to speak truth to power and watch what he does. There is no need to create stories out of thin air. 3. I have to say when I heard Kelly Ann Conway use the term "Alternate Facts" I kind of winced a little. That was a pretty shitty choice of words and I think it's one that will bite her in the butt for a long time to come.... On the flip side though, there is the old saying "Statistics don't lie, but liars use statistics." I think that applies to this whole conversation. The news guys used to lay out all the facts and let the viewers make up their own minds. Now a days you have the news guys that pick a point of view and then just lay out the facts that support their position. It sucks, but that is the facts of life now a days. The line between hard news and editorialists has been blurred and news guys have been injecting them selves into the story either because of narcissism, ratings, or both. Both sides do it. It's just that it's finally getting some attention because there is a guy in office that the main stream news hates and he is fighting back, and ratings are going through the roof! Grab some beer, sit back, and hold on. It's gonna be a fun ride! "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." 4. There is no proof of widespread voter fraud, yet you have championed voter registration laws, just in case, cause it could happen, etc. Now all of a sudden you are concerned about proof? Coming from the party that is actually doing a recount because of suspected fraud? That is rich....
  5. No more ludacris than Jill Stein's claim, now backed by Hillary!!! We better have a recount! Even though the machines are not hooked up to the internet and after you take into account the demographics of the areas Trump won, there are no anomalies, there is the off chance that if someone had access to the voting machines that they could have been tampered with... But there is no proof, but we better have a recount anyway just to be safe.... I wonder why they are only doing the recount in states that Trump won? 6. Carrier Air-conditioning has already announced that plants that they were getting ready to move to Mexico will not be going.... and he is not even in office yet! I wonder what else a President Trump will do for the American people! http://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/29/business/trump-to-announce-carrier-plant-will-keep-jobs-in-us.html?_r=0 The thing that does have me worried is the infastructure spending that he is proposing. We know how the Obama stimulus package went. Hopefully instead of dog parks and shit, he will actually replace worn out water pipes and stuff in places like, oh, I don't know, Michigan? http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2016/nov/29/trump-indicates-hes-serious-infrastructure-spendin/ We'll see. 7. I would not trust anything electronic or bluetooth or anything with a battery for that matter for something that I wanted to possibly use right now, if needed. This is years of military experience talking. The safest place for any fire arm outside of a safe is on your person.... preferably concealed... preferably in a holster that will protect the trigger.... With that, if you are looking for a good place to hide a duty gun, I like the tactical walls and gun shelves with simple magnetic locks. There are lots of examples out there for sale, but I just think they are a great way to hide stuff in plane site. Some Youtube videos...: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hjoaO5IL8rg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YajL6yRjUrk Just some suggestions.... There are lots of companies making similar products now a days. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." 8. In the land of SJW's and other special little snow flakes, we now have a new offensive item: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/volokh-conspiracy/wp/2016/08/03/wearing-dont-tread-on-me-insignia-could-be-punishable-racial-harassment/ I suppose if the Gadsden Flag is your Avatar, you might be a racist also?(Love you Quade!!!) Luckily I still have a couple of "Sic Semper Tyrannis" T-shirts laying around as back up. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. 9. Is that where I can buy votes with no restrictions? Only privately. Not from licensed vote dealers. Ah, yes, the "vote show loop hole".... Where felons can buy assault votes without background checks... "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." 10. If you want to know if it's actually constitutional, tie the right to vote to a right to own a firearm. I mean, a requirement doesn't infringe on one right, then it doesn't infringe on the other, right? A constitutionally protected right is a constitutionally protected right. 11. Well, the Republican national convention is over and I've been looking for all the wild west shootouts and I can't seem to find any. If anyone heard of a mass shooting with all the guns that were in Cleveland last week, please post. Now I wonder what the outside of the unarmed DNC is going to look like.... 12. Just wanted to drop by SC long enough to drop this news bomb on you all to see how everyone responds. http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/new-black-panther-party-says-to-carry-arms-in-cleveland-if-legal/ar-BBugUZR?li=BBnbcA1 Well, they announced it. I wonder what the counter response will be? [ForrestGumpVoice]Sorry to ruin your Black Panther Party. [/ForrestGumpVoice] "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. 13. I couldn't agree more, however, I think the point is all politicians are full of shit. You can't argue that we "should be building bridges and not walls", and advocate erecting a wall (albeit temporary) to protect yourself. Any liberal who ives in a house is a hypocrite! Well, no... not exactly.... Any liberal that doesn't open up his house to allow illegal aliens to waltz in and out as they please is a hypocrite though.... Same goes to any liberal that doesn't allow Bernie Sanders rioters, Occupy Wallstreet bums, or Black Lives Matters thugs into their house either.... 14. hey Masterblaster, please keep your chin up. As I've posted many times in this forum there are 2 versions of Islam. Islam in it's self is compatible with the values the US tries to uphold. Radical Islam rooted in Sharia law is not. Just like when people here keep saying "Islam is the religion of peace" and I tell them "not all of it" I have to say that when people say "Islam is a religion of war" I have to say "not all of it" to that also. We can't judge everyone by the actions of a few. With that said, we must also remain vigilant. For those of you that missed it, there was another attempted attack at the Gay Pride festival in Las Angeles. http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ln-gay-pride-la-weapons-20160612-snap-story.html I've heard some reports that this may coincide with Islamic holiday of Ramadan. Now is not the time for political correctness. If you see something, say something... and to all, be safe. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. 15. That is why I specifically mentioned Police or a Sheriff. Reporting CBP to the CBP as a non-US citizen probably won't get you far. And you don't need to give names to the police or sheriff. They will figure it out during the investigation. US CBP agents are not exempt from US law enforcement. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. 16. Been away from DZ.com for a while and I check in and see this. Figured I would comment. I know that power hungry assholes are drawn to government positions all over the place. They need to know that they are not above the law. This one should have been simple. Why were these CBP agents not reported to American authorities? City police, county sheriff, who ever has jurisdiction on the US side of the border. Sexual Assault is Sexual Assault. While they may be able to justify the search, their is no way they can justify not having another woman in the room. End of story. Sad part is unless this lady files a suit or makes a report to the police, nothing will happen. She needs to go outside the agency. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. 17. A large part of the advantage of a single payer system is the reduction in the overall size of the bureaucracy needed to support it. Sorry, but that is not how the U.S. government works. They still think government jobs add to the economy. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." 23. In times of plenty, it is easy to be benevolent. When pickings are slim, it comes down to 'us' vs. 'them.' Nothing personal. It's always easy to be benevolent. Even when pickings are slim. It's culture that has taught you to believe that it CAN or must be "us" vs "them". Instincts can be out thought. That is what logic and reason is for. I reiterate Taylor Caldwell's assertion that 5% of the population think, 5% think they think and 90% would sooner die than think. You give people too much credit. I must be part of the 5% Which 5%? The 5% that think? Or the 5% that seems to be unaccounted for? (90%+5%. Where do the last 5% fall anyway?) "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. 24. Two small differences that might make all the difference in the world to some. To people that have extremely warped senses of Moral Equivalency, not so much. Difference number 1: One group would much rather do it at the ballot box, where as the other group would much rather do it by the use of terror. Difference number 2: One group is fighting to keep personal freedoms and not really caring what the rest of the world does, while the other group is fighting to oppress and enslave the world. Once again, there are people out there that wants to define group number one as the moral equivalent of group number 2, but these people are also trying to shut down free speech so they can say who/what group number 1 is so they can control them.
