  1. If any engineers can do this, it have to be the russians, think of all the strange flying machines they have created over the years... http://englishrussia.com/images/flying_fortress/1.jpg
  2. as James write, go to Gap and experience it...
  3. actual experience and not opinion brandwars based.... We are discussing if there are a difference on flying the suit-types - not between brands. And in my EXPERIENCE there is a'lot of difference, me not being a newbie thank you
  4. It comes from flying small groups with the FYB guys, I.e. Loic would brief a small group maybe 4 guys to fly first a line, then the right guy pops up 1-2m and moves to left and sink down again to take a slot there. Now Loic would be watching as he only wanted to see the specific input to the suit that he told us to use. In this example, only input is pushing shoulders down 1-2 cm; you would then almost be catapulted 5m's up the first time you did it, until you learned to put even less input to the suit. When I try the same maneuver in my different 3-wing suits, nothing happens, even if I fly the palm down. In that suit I really needed to cup just a little to do the same. This is at least one example that I have experienced. There are others as well, maybe other people can come up with those?
  5. I'll take the Aston Martin, thank you :) Over any car in fact. But comparing this to the current state of the art in wingsuits? :D We are hurling downwards at 3,3:1 or something. We should instead compare a nice Ford Pinto w. to a Morris Marina.... vrooommmm ¨´
  6. Sitting here with 3 other S-fly owners and we must disagree with you. But there you have it. Blue skies.
  7. The monowing is certanly a lot different from any of the other suits. Most that have owned and flow both types a lot, will agree to that. It feels differently in the air and with good reason. The construction is very different. The way the suit reacts to your input is very different.
  8. No point in this as you did not include Fly Your Body suits. I think they are as large as the others - they just don't make a fuss about it...
  9. cool. Reminds me about I must keep an eye open - so I don't miss the next proximity flying course.
  10. Didn't you have the chance to try another suit that week end ? the so called D... S.. ? I tried another suit, but that was like bringing a knife to a gunfight
  11. Yes... I admit I was bringing the wrong weapon to the battle. We did aprox. 110km/h vertical in most jumps. Nearly impossible to fly the Stealth like that.
  12. I know some are going to throw shit at me, but here it goes: I have been to many boogies where the WS loadmaster stresses this in the door: "tighten it up!!!"...then go..go..go..go, and the result is pretty often wingsuit kong-fu fighting, lots of guys tumbling. Also some of the last guys out are eager to get out really fast and push hard and even step on other peoples booties.. I say, those guys must move up the line maybe to the front. If you cant dive fast, then move up. I prefer that everyone gets a clean exit. If this makes the last guys exit 3-5 sec's later, so what...? Now everyone has a clean exit. We have at least 2 minuttes of worktime, so whats the rush
  13. 7:40... is unreal. Who is the flyer?
  14. Big balls... ! Perfect. How do the guys locate those routes that fit the flight performance and how is that planned? first a trial jump a bit "high", and then downnnn! ?
  15. I had a S3S suit with the same type of fragile mylar ribs. I sent the suit to Birdman and got the new type ribs installed instead (those can be bent and don't break). Recommended.
  16. That was beautiful. Thanks for posting
  17. stuff some humanoids w. good flocking skills inside the different suits and you are all set :)
