alright... ill try this again since my last post mysteriously "dissappeared"... i hardly think that 1000ft agl opening altitude on a skydiving rig, regardless of main canopy selection, should be considered "wimping out" considering that 1) the main canopy is dbagged... (as far as i know on this particular rig...) skyhook or no 2)1grand is pretty much on the wire between just enough/not enough time to respond to any possible deployment issues and still get a landable canopy out .. 3) was it late in the day? i know it was at the end of the boogie..maybe he didnt feel like tempting fate after a long weekend just because some people on the ground "thought perry was going to dump low.." lets not forget that he also flew same prodigy from 876' ..... there arent many out there who can claim the same... if you want to get into a w/s lowpull contest, perry probably isnt the one you want to challenge... and if you really want to start having fun... lets do it with single parachute systems at the beach. drunk.

this is essentially what i meant.. there are obviously the big three..(or four).. s/l, pca(proper) s/u, s/d this would obviously vary a bit depending on delay, so i guess to keep it simple to start, assume gonthrow, all deployments from same object.... if you really wanted to dig in you could start comparing gear configurations, but that seems almost redundant... most modern gear is going to be similar, with exception of vents/novents... but, it is the weekend now (almost) so fuck it... go outside and play...

the s/l thread got me thinking... what are the differences in different deployment method/configuration openings.. (i realize there wil be anomalies and variations by canopy/options etc..) maybe a chart of some sort....

does anyone have an extra rig 190sq ft, for a close personal friend of mine to use? he sold his gear months ago, (gf 7months pregnant)and has been renting to jump, money is tight fr both of us.. his best friend, him, and i were all supposed to come to flop for bestfriends aff1, but bestfriend died in a motorcycle accident saturday night..... ... so. were going to do some runthroughs for an ash dive we want to do, and dont want to have to go to deland during the flop... if anyone out there has gear we can use on sat. after the funeral or sunday-day, the favor would go a long way with him and me both.... take advantage of every second, and live each day as if it was your last... thanks a million -b

regardless of what happened to me last weekend, my post was intended more as a reminder to the risk-taking devil-may-care crowd that I choose to run with, that anything can happen at any time, so be fucking careful, and maybe think twice next time around...... but you know, thanks anyway jaap...hope youre never in my shoes, and keep your sympathy to yourself... -some fucker
