  1. Do you think this could have been avoided by jumping a smaller helmet that is not so wide and bulky? I do. I jump a mindwarp when not jumping camera (which is not that often), and I jump a rawa camera helmet most all the time, and have had 0 problems in hundreds of jumps. both helmets are small and sleek. I really think you should have the least amount on your head as possible and I feel the camera should be enclosed to reduce snag points. Just my 2 cents. Hope everything works out for you. don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  2. I have not had any problems, not to say it would not happen, but i see way more theory there then truth. The truth is I really just don't see that happening. don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  3. totally agree, thats fricken hilarious! don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  4. so what!!! they have the right to swoop if they want. There are car accidents, maybe one of us will get in a wreck and you will read about us in the paper. Maybe we should outlaw driving. You're an idiot. don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  5. why are they not being used in the skydiving industry right now? don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  6. meant 182 dz's trying to upsize aircraft don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  7. bout 500 in 2 years. If I were you contact scott miller at freedom of flight school and see what he says. I downsized too quickly, and while I do not regret it I still downsized too quickly and should have developed more skill before moving on. Now I do great with my canopy soooooooo... go by the numbers don't get in a rush don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  8. so it can fit eight jumpers? That could be good for dz's converting from 182's to an almost turbine type of operation. How fast does it get to altitude with the diesel engine. don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  9. It is perfectly safe to swoop into a demo, and especially okay to swoop into a huge football field. I watched the whole video and thought to myself, yeah that looks like a demo. They did everything just right. don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  10. put a feww hundred on the 170. don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  11. i'm at 1.6 on a viper and no probs, I don't stow the same a upt but close too, and no probs. don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  12. no probs with trulock, not to say it does not happen don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  13. I have seen these exact same mistakes ie almost killing themselves with cypress fires and such and yet a few hundered later they are coaches. Coaches sadly enough need to be by case by case scenario in my opinion not just jump numbers and such don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  14. my guess is that when they do get bored they should set new goals with that canopy. I am not an example and i downsized quickly, but with no problems and many compliments from veterans. I still say go by the numbers in all cases event though I did not listen don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  15. thanks all don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  16. I have a v3 343 and it has a pd 143. I am wondering would the highest I be able to go with an optimum reserve be. My first thought would be a pd 160, but i don't know if you could fit a pd 176. I understand that these sizes are not yet available, just trying to plan for future. don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  17. I started with the student mantas and such then moved onto a triathlon 190 for my first canopy and weighed the same as you do. Maybe you should try jumping a 190 for a feww hundred jumps. Think about the worst possible landing situation and ask yourself if you could confidently and safely land your canopy there. Forget the whole idea of jumping a canopy justto show people that you won't kill yourself on it. I know that I could land a 99 safely, but given the question above I would choose not to waste my time right now jumping that canopy. don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  18. sadly they are not don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  19. I believe there is one up northwest somewhere. Kind of wondering why they are not used more frequently. don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  20. used of course, and vector 3, mirage, voodoo, and infinity would be in my immediate choice group. don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  21. I had a sony pc 101 and absolutely loved it and now I have a pc 109 and still liked the 101 better. Get a 101 if you can they are quite sweet. don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  22. I was surprised, but I jumped a xfire 2 159 loaded at 1.5 while my usual was a ole viper 150. The xfires toggle response was not as good as my viper. It moved around a lot more in turbulence as well as mentioned before. Although I would consider jumping a xfire 2 full time though. My viper came through with flying colors. don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  23. you are right, I did not put that in because I did not want to write that much. Yes, plan the dive and dive the plan always be working on something is the way to get good quickly and stay that way. That is one of the first things my buddy told me to do when I started freeflying. don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  24. I say that they are both great , but I would probably go with the katana. PD r & d is second to none and the xfire 2 does move around quite a bit in turbulence, even if it is not that turbulent. don't try your bullshit with me!!!
  25. The reason I got my riggers ticket was so I would not have to be dependant on others, maybe you ought to try that. No, taking your rig to another rigger is not a biggie at all, as others have stated. don't try your bullshit with me!!!
