So I guess my friends developed back problems for no reason. LOOK all I am saying is that sabre 1's are known to spank people, and yes I have witnessed it. Twice I have seen openings so hard that lines broke and a friends had to cut away. Are they all like that? No. Has it came to be known for being slammer canopy for no reason? No. THe point I am trying to make is that they do open fast and for some if not most open like crap. I have met people exactly like you who say oh what are you talking about, with these hard openings. Then give it some time and they are walking around complaining how much they just got spanked. So have fun on your free canopy, but beware. One who defended the sabre 1 almost got borderline mad with me telling him how those canopies open, and he was one of them that had broken lines and had to cut away. I agree it is better than renting. I am just not a fan of javelins or sabres in the least bit. I think that the price is very low, but you get what you pay for. I would hold off and save and look for something better. don't try your bullshit with me!!!

Don't do it. There are plenty of good used containers out there look for vector 3, mirage, infinity. I have a few friends that have back problems from jumping sabres. DO NOT DO IT. Try to stick to spectre, pilot, safire 2. Stick with PD reserves. Javelins are known to ride high on the back which makes it kinda though to reach sometimes. So yes it does make sense, and I have a heard of a few people that this has happened to on this website. The part about buying a vector 3 well that was just to be a bit spiteful, there were plenty of other reasons why I made the switch. don't try your bullshit with me!!!

I may be wrong but I am pretty sure it is not equipped for an aad. You would spend most all of your day packing rather than jumping. If I had to guess it is probably not freefly friendly either. You will probably have very fast or slammer openings everythime becasue of the way it is packed. If I were you I would totally forget this idea and look for some used gear. Honestly I think the javelin is a step down from a mirage. few examples: pop top, no secondary riser covers, downward main flap that will most likely pop open in a sit, and the design is pretty well unchanged in the last 15 yrs or so. I would get a vector 3 if I were you. If you do not like that system I would at least stick with a mirage. Infinity rigs are nice and damn secure, and I think they are cheaper than most. Not to bash on javelins but it has been my own experience. I would go for a cypress, not that anything is wrong with the vigil. The cypress has just been proven over the years. don't try your bullshit with me!!!

If you are getting a steal on it keep the reserve and main. Get a used vector 3 container and sell the v 2 container and add a cypress. you can PM me if there is anything you would rather keep off the forums as in price and such if you need. don't try your bullshit with me!!!

the rig should be fine. I would stay away from that certain rig though. There are plenty of safe rigs that are priced relatively cheap if that is your problem. don't try your bullshit with me!!!

honestly slide ins are about all I do now on those landings that are a little too fast or on the gotchyas. I think slide ins are awesome, but I think that students sometimes do not flare quite right, and that could lead to a sore tail bone or broken for some maybe. I am not sure what the guidelines are, but we had to jump our own pack job to get our a license. That is what I have seen everywhere I have been and I agree with it. I read more on this post and once you get your rig take it in your basement and try to do a few pack jobs a night. Buy an instructional if you have to or buy someone some beer to come watch and correct you while you pack. don't try your bullshit with me!!!
