  1. Buy a pistol that you will carry if carrying a pistol is what you want to do. I have a keltec in a pocket wallet print holster with me anytime I wear clothes with pockets. I have plenty of other options depending on the days activities, but the little keltec is always there. (assuming not a prohibited area) A pocket pistol is a much better self defense weapon than a .45 in the safe or out in the car, not many cool points though.
  2. According to the folks at SS in 2033 the payroll tax we collect will only be enough to pay .77 of each dollar of scheduled benefits. It appears to work well for the generation that spent all the SS "surplus" money yet will get full benefits. http://www.ssa.gov/estimator/
  3. Seems to be "shall issue." The state has 90 days to find a reason to deny. The governor was complaining last summer about it, that it had been "written by the NRA." He tried to re-write it to "may issue" and throw in a bunch of idiotic restrictions like limiting how much ammunition could be carried, changing "posted prohibited" to requiring "posted permitted" (instead of business being allowed to prohibit guns, they would be required to post that they allowed them if they didn't want to prohibit). Fortunately, his rewrite attempt failed. Cool, I hope it works out that way.
  4. Do you meet the requirements of an FAA 3rd class medical?
  5. This is "may issue" not "shall issue" correct? I wouldn't count on a lot of permits being issued to "regular" people.
  6. So I see: http://nypost.com/2013/10/07/bike-cop-joined-in-on-suv-beatdown-video-reveals/ http://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/local/Undercover-NYPD-Cop-Window-Smash-Video-SUV-Biker-Brawl-226892961.html Would have gotten real interesting if the victim (suv driver) had a gun, off duty police officer acting as part of mob shoots SUV driver "in self defense", what a court case that would turn into.
  7. More sanctimonious BS. The really sad thing is that you actually believe yourself.
  8. I rest my case. You are an admitted TROLL.
  9. Looks like he considers himself an expert at pretending to be an expert so he can study the reaction of people (whom he either pretends or actually believes he knows more than on the subject) to the vast knowledge of his expertness.
  10. Yes, but you can legally fly a motor glider with a revoked medical. Including flying over 10000', vfr on top, cruise speed over 120knots, and at gross weight up to #1698.
  11. A student pilot certificate holder does not require a medical, a student only needs the medical to solo. Unless it's a balloon, glider or LSA category airplane. you can solo a glider with a denied medical EDIT: I see what you mean, yea you only need medical to solo powered aircraft. FALSE. You can fly a powered light sport aircraft without a medical. You can fly motor glider with a revoked medical.

How long is the flight? 23- longest hours you've seen in a while 13- months, now that's a vacation 29- that should be plenty 0- annoyance
  13. It doesn't...it's just a privacy issue. Getting to the point you can't go anywhere without big brother looking over your shoulder. More like big sister, but yeah If I was a cop I'd be all over this. Sit in the car and watch people drink in the bar and monitor behavior while recording it for use in court later. I'd have a pretty good idea who I could make a DUI case against as people left.
  14. I fully understand how insurance works. I'd prefer to be responsible for my own insurance decisions/payment and have you and others do the same. I'm not against a fed gov provided catastrophic plan for each person in the country. A very limited version of single payer if you will in a bare minimum sort of way. From there if you want more coverage either pay for it or get a job that offers it.
  15. You hit the nail on the head. They are using there tribalism to influence, watch each others back, cover up crimes and get away with it. Hmmm where have i seen that before. US Federal Gov on both sides?
  16. By this statement we can assume you support ACA covering Boob jobs, tummy tucks, and liposuction? When the proposed treatment is for a medical issue, the answer would be a great big YES!!! There are documented cases where each of the medical procedures you write about is required for a medical condition. I the case of the procedure being for strictly cosmetic reasons, that would be where the patient should pay 100% of the cost themselves. So you would then agree that "abortion pills/birthcontrol" need not be covered as Hobby Lobby desires when they are not medically required?

  21. Will the insurance companies play along and offer to keep policies in place for the next year?
